Our second annual visit to the Inn at Ocean Grove. Joe and Kelsey are wonderful hosts. Joe called to confirm our arrival time and was waiting for us and he and Kelsey welcomed us by name. The property is so comfortable - just 1.5 block walk to the beach. We stayed on the top floor in room 12 - Southern Exposure. So nice, so comfortable. Our adult son slept soundly on the futon - all the bedding is ready to go in the chest of drawers. Bed and bedding are very nice and comfortable. Lovely private bath with nice tiled shower/bath tub and new curved glass door. The rooftop deck is just outside the room and offers a lot of new lovely seating with an incredible ocean view. At night, the breeze is wonderful. There’s a small family room just off the rooftop with sofa, TV, video games and board games. Breakfast is freshly prepared each day with chef specials. Service is impeccable. Beach badges are available at the Inn for $8 (20% discount). Chairs and umbrellas are available for rent. Seating on porch and patio is enjoyable. Coffee, tea, infused water, ice, cookies available in the lobby all day. So nice. Honor system for $1 bottled water. Some comments for new guests: this is an old building, floors can be slanted a bit, stairways and hallways are narrow, bathroom door in 12 locks with a hook - not completely closed but works; no elevator so be prepared to carry your bags up the narrow steep stairs (Joe helped me which was so nice); room door leaks light from the hallway - bring your eye shades; window A/C works very well but is loud - bring your ear plugs; on-street parking only - we always found a spot nearby on Central Ave. And be prepared to love the Inn and OG!
