Airport Layover B&B
3.9/512 Reviews
It's close to the airport. It may be convenient for a little stay due to time. But there are no shops or buses nearby. Nearby bus stop or train station It is difficult to walk without using a taxi or tuk-tuk. There are no amenities. I need to bring it. The room only has a rack, a chair, and a trash can for hanging clothes. There is breakfast. Food is to be eaten on the roof terrace. Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 cuisine milk rice, coconut 🥥 used samball served. It was spicy but very delicious. Hotel tuk 🏨 I think the tuk is expensive. I had money troubles. I went shopping at the place I asked for, and it took a long time because the cash register was crowded. I was charged an astonishing amount. ,, I asked why, but the answer was difficult to understand. A little disappointing. It is better to discuss the money with the owner before using it. I paid for this hotel booking site and stayed at the hotel I was charged for my stay. I showed the image of the receipt from the app, explained it, and asked for a refund. I made a bill payment together with a tuk-tuk, Because the tuk tuk was priced high for reasons I don't understand I didn't get the full amount paid for the hotel. The owner didn't know I had paid. and answered. Why did you make a reservation by paying with a card from the app site? It was a pity that it was difficult to understand whether it was answered like that and what kind of mechanism it is 😢

We really like our stay at this hotel, the installations are great (nice little pool for the afternoons when it's too hot to be at the beach), the rooftop terrasse is nice but mostly, all the staff there is very professional and friendly! We definitely recommend this place!
Paradise Beach Hotel

First the god things. The location and the hotel surrounds are just great. You an walk to a number of local restauants and shops with no trouble at all. Reception is very impressive with an open style leading onto the pool and longue area. Staff are frinedly and courteous and the bar area is good. When we were there, a number of travel groups arrived and departed so they seem to have a good market cornered there. Unfortunately now onto the bad. While our room was spacious with a balcony there were issues with cleanliness, particularly with the bathroom and balcony. There appeared to be an ongoing issue with plumbing meaning the room smelt and ther was some mould on the tiles. To be fair to management, as we were only staying in the room overnight with a very early start, we did not complain or bring it to their attention, however, the problem with the bathroom was obviously not a new one. It is quite reasonably priced (about 11000 rupees fora night) but I don't think that menas you need to put up with a not so clean room.

I do not usually stay alone in hotels, however every one from the driver who collected me from the airport to the reception staff and room staff were all so kind and friendly. Food excellent delicious. Staff always helpful. I would stay here again.. Beach golden sands just next door. In fact I M returning here before I leave. Would recommend to my friends.
Bridge Hotel Negombo

The equivalent of a homestay, then four or five rooms. We arrived in the middle of the night, no one was watching the door, knocking on the door could not be opened, but fortunately there was a phone call on Ctrip. The sanitary conditions are worrying. In addition, a room in the same room found a frog in the toilet, live, another room found a gecko (or lizard?), perhaps the ecological environment is too good, haha... breakfast gave us a surprise, rich and delicious.
Dickman Resort "The Boutique Hotel"

We booked the first four nights here for our arrival in SL however our flight from Australia was delayed and so we were a day late arriving. This was not a problem though as we were still able to spend four nights with the minor inconvenience of having to change rooms for the last night. It was extremely accommodating of the staff to allow this and it meant we could acclimatise and get organised prior to heading up to Jaffna. We are grateful to Damith, Danu and Harsha for their flexibility! The resort is located up a quiet street about 300 metres from the frenetic beach road and so quiet however conveniently located to restaurants, cafes, taxi services, etc. Having said this the staff will organise tuk tuks and drivers for you so you can avoid the hassle of negotiating on the Main Street. We spent the first three nights in the Red suite, which was extremely comfortable and has a fabulous bathroom and balcony overlooking the garden and front entrance so it was very quiet. The last night we spent in the Orange room which is on the ground floor and still a good size room with a serviceable bathroom however not as luxurious as the suite. The swimming pool is great and my husband managed to swim his daily 1-1.5 kms as it is not busy. Finally, I would like to mention the delicious food and lovely staff - Damith, Harsha, Danu, Desican, Mahinda, Dilhen and everyone else whose names I have forgotten - sorry! Together you all make this boutique hotel very special and an extremely welcoming experience. Mr Dickman should be very proud.
