I had a terrible experience at British Colonial! During my stay, someone who had access to my room went through my zipped backpack and stole ALL my money!!!! That person left my backpack unzipped so I noticed it right away! It was a shocking violation of my privacy and trust.
While the hotel had decent facilities, like a nice pool and restaurant, none of that matters when you don’t feel safe. When I reported the theft, the response from management was dissapointing, leaving me feeling unsupported. They never reach out.
I came for a relaxing getaway, but instead, I left feeling traumatized and unsafe. I cannot recommend this hotel, no matter how nice the facilities are. Your safety should always come first. I don’t recommend to stay at this hotel but if you are, make sure you are there when someone is cleaning your room.
If any of your property get stolen make sure to report it to the local police and Ministry of Tourism.
Also, Hotel charges $100 deposit per night.
