I believe it is important to acknowledge and celebrate excellence, and I sincerely hope that the outstanding efforts of the hotel team members are recognized for their service excellence: - Wang Yu Wen (Azekura) - Nobukazu Yoshida (Azekura) - Miyamae (Azekura) - Okubo Ren (Azekura) - Murata (Lounge) - Pabina (Lounge) - Kim (Front Desk) - Pitcha (Front Desk) - Arjun (Front Desk) - Dushanta (Front Desk) Some highlights of this stay: - Sparkling Wine provided for Bonvoy members during breakfast, ingredients also sourced from Nara - FHR dining credit has 125usd instead of the 100usd - Azekura the JP restaurant: one of the best teppanyaki and kaiseki I had in JP - no sento but there's a jacuzzi in the pool. The fitness gym was quite comprehensive The regular Room was already very big, comfy bed and clean! No upgrade this time since all rooms are fully booked - service! 100% good! One of the most friendly staff and quite a number overseas staff. - The hotel provide a shuttle bus to Nara station or Kintetsu Below content for those who has time to read To start, it was the first day of the dining experience at Azekura that got me to have not one but two dining occasions at the restaurant. Chef Wang Yu Wen not only delivered a gastronomic experience throughout my teppanyaki lunch course, but he also delivered a very personal one-one dining service experience. His culinary expertise was showcased in every dish despite my dietary restriction, every flavour simply delighted my palate. Kirito did an exceptional service by recommending a great local Nara sake to pair with my lunch course., The second day of Kaiseki was equally delightful and I was extremely surprised to be greeted by the 料理長, Mr Nobukazu Yoshida who honestly provided such an “Omotenashi” experience throughout my time at Azekura. Mr Okubo Ren and Ms Miyamae also delivered great service during my lunch dining on the second day. Overall, the dining experience at Azekura was the highlight of my stay and till now, I couldn’t help but marvel due to the great service that was initiated by Mr Wang Yu Wen. Additionally, I would like to commend the impeccable service I received during the check-in process. I I was impressed at Mr Kim’s patience and service throughout the check-in experience, and I was really glad to get a warm welcoming experience from both Mr Arjun and Ms Pitcha at the lobby. Their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate specific requests made a significant difference, setting the tone for an enjoyable and happy stay. It is evident that the team takes pride in delivering top-notch service, and their efforts did not go unnoticed. Furthermore, the hospitality at the lounge was exemplary. Despite the huge crowd during the festive season, the lounge staff did create a comfortable and enjoyable one. Both Murata and Pabina were some of those whom I felt had delivered great service during the evening cocktail hours. Lastly

Fantastic Hotel with a perfectly convenient location. The only thing is the bad attitude of a female manager at the front desk. We asked for more bottled water, but she refused. Refusing is OK, but she thought we didn't understand Japanese and said some bad words to us.
Unfortunately, we are just not fluent in Japanese, but we can totally understand what she was saying. A pathetic woman manager ruined other staff's good service and hard work.

A hotel that feels like a business + hot spring hotel, just next to JR Nara Station. The room is clean and quite large, 3 F, but the view from the window was completely elevated by the railway, and I was worried about the sound of the train. The bathroom in the room has only a shower, but there is a large communal bath in a natural hot spring, so I was able to relax. There was no problem with the hot springs and breakfast, and it was as expected. Free bottled water 1 book in the refrigerator, WiFi is also free to connect.

The best hotel experience we had in the entire Japan trip. The room is very spacious (about 30-40 square meters by my estimation) and it is spotless clean. Staff is super friendly and helpful. I especially like the Japanese style room design where you take off your shoes at the front door and enter the elevated wooden floored room. The location is unbeatable - only 3 mins walk from the Nara train station, on a small tourist street with tons of small shops and restaurants. The room is very quite even though it is on the tourist street.

This is a royal guesthouse in Momoyama style, which was built in 1909 by Kingo Tatsuno, the father of Japanese architecture.
If you want to find accommodation in Nara, I would strongly recommend considering this hotel. 1) Service: extremely high-quality service, even in Japan, it shows a higher level of standards, giving customers a noble charm, which requires you to experience it in person. 2) Scenic spot: Based on the 115-year history, many places in the hotel are scenic spots, antique, especially the Cherry Blossom Room (guest lobby), many artifacts, including the piano played by Einstein and the photos taken, will surprise you. 3) Food: very delicious breakfast, exquisite, delicious, and full of elegant ritual.
In addition, I happened to meet a couple's wedding banquet during my stay, and the picture made me feel like traveling through time and space. I really like this hotel, and I especially hope to stay there for a few nights in the future!

The long-awaited purple Nara! Thank you for staying with my mother. Even at this stay, ... From the pick-up to the see-off ... Maruyama Chiichifu Concierge received a very polite response! Mr. Hashiya manager! Thank you for your wonderful time. Kengo Kuma renovated the guest room of 'Nara Prefectural Governor's Office' built in early 1900, and revived the taste of the Taisho Period to the present age. In November 1951, Emperor Showa renovated the San Francisco Peace Treaty and Japan and the United States When I was a child, such as the reception room ”Go Certification Room” of the former prefectural governor's office, which is also a historic place to sign the ratification of the Security Treaty, ... The historic site that was listed in the textbook in the social studies class is in the hotel. In the reception room, round tables and chairs By seeing it for the first time through furnishings, ... I was impressed and at the same time I felt strange. Above all, my mother, who loves Kengo Kuma's modern architecture, was very impressed, so ... Great success! The rag colle of the green brand is not only purple but also Arashiyama purple! Irafu Sui Miyakojima! The hotels in every area are wonderful, but ... purple Nara was better than I imagined. Next time, I will revisit with my partner at the end of April, so please do not hesitate to do so. Thank you for your continued support 🤲

We stayed one night in FUFU Nara on the way from Tokyo to Kyoto. We took a special train - Aoniyoshi from Kyoto to Nara and it was very enjoyable ride. We took a taxi from Kintetsu Nara station to the hotel. Hotel staff greeted us right away and kept the our luggage for us until the check-in time. It is located next to Ukimido and we were able to visit Todaiji and the giant Buddha before the check-in. Once we return, we had a nice cold welcome drink. Hotel staff were very professional and friendly. It was obvious that they take a great pride on performing their tasks. Our room was super clean and modern with some Japanese touches. And the hot tub on the balcony was amazing. We contemplated between FUFU and the new Shisui, but we were very glad that we chose FUFU. At FUFU, I believe all rooms are suites and come with the private open air onsen. We did read some reviews on the noise. We did not notice too much especially after dodging so many screaming school children at Todaiji. At night, we had teppan yaki dinner for our anniversary. It was pretty cool to dress in yukata with a hanten jacket. The sandals were comfortable, also. We walked through the bamboo garden to get to the restaurant. Our chef was friendly and food was delicious. With sake pairing, we had a great time. Breakfast was served at the same restaurant, and the walk was beautiful in the morning. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. The lady who served us explained each dish very politely. It's hard to believe they are so helpful even without any tips. Staying at FUFU made our stay in Nara very special.

GGuest UserStayed for 2 days in two different rooms - Japanese style and modern one. It was an overall positive experience. + Great location + Good view (not excellent because of the trees, but it's still good) + Very friendly and helpful staff + They speak English + Convenience store (not 24h) at the basement + Spacy rooms for Japan and given price - Not many things are included in the room but could be asked on reception - Some modernization/refreshment would be useful Additionally, there is a Visitor Center on the 1st floor, where you could find any information you need about Nara and the nearby areas. Things like what is better to visit to sightsee or to eat. Including in English. Had a great talk with Jay-san and visited some of the places he recommended. Thanks!
1163vuvBooking because it was a new and clean hotel to see the advertisement in the story of Instagram. Location is good. The building and room are as impressive as the photos on the homepage. I wanted a bus mat and a bus mat if I raised something. I was happy with the free mini bar, but I wish there were a little more snacks. Dinner is good to look good but the taste is normal. There was no volume and I felt the speed of delivery because I had to eat immediately. Breakfast is buffet style except for the main 4 items. It was better than breakfast at a business hotel, but there was no impression like this. The staff was very young and had a lot of unfamiliar times. This time, I was able to stay at 10800 yen per person with 2 meals in the goto campaign, so I think it was enough to consider the price. It's subtle if you return to the usual fee...
DDengxiaolong The hotel building is right outside the JR station. The room is not too big, but it is enough to accommodate two large suitcases. The child was charged an additional fee of 4,500. Breakfast was 1,500 and the child fee was 3,000.
GGwyn WThis is a Rayocan, or a bed-- and- breakfast. It's a room in a private house in a residential area. It's great if you want an idea of how Japanese live. You are provided with slippers when you arrive and you leave outdoor shoes in the front door. DON'T bring your slippers in the bedroom! The bedroom is traditional, with floor carpet and bed linen provided. Your bag should be left outside the actual sleeping area. To be honest, the space is narrow and you need to move carefully to avoid damage the door to slip. The host was good enough to brew and serve us traditional green tea (a taste can be found if the truth is told!). In the morning, we were provided a choice between a traditional breakfast or a Japanese sea. We chose one of them to be able to compare and experience. Because the house is located in a residential area, we had to walk a bit (10 - 15 minutes) to find dinner. I was not sure if we found where the host was leading us, but we found what I can only describe as a ”restaurant” where we had something to eat. In the morning, the round bus passed quite close and this was a bit awkward. will take you to the station. The house allowed two rooms, we were lucky because we were the only guests so there was the best room. In addition, you share the bathroom, toilet and sink. That might not be anyone's favorite. You can also wash and dry clothes, which is always convenient if you are traveling - although there is an additional cost for this. This place is worth staying if you are traveling to Japan and want a real taste of the country.
CCHIDEJIOYAJI0724I stayed at the 3 generation including my grandson. It was an inn near my home, and if there was no Nara Prefectural citizenship, there was no chance to stay. The parking lot is narrow, so it is a style to park at the entrance and leave the key. After the reception at the front desk, you will be guided to the room and you can provide tea in the room, which is an old-fashioned customer service. Although the entire building is undeniably aging, there was a sense of security because it was well maintained, cleaned, and corona measures. The room was a large room with the next room, but the five-storied pagoda of Kofukuji was a room in the direction where I couldn't see it. The bath has a large communal bath and an open-air bath on the same floor, but it was a pity that I had to change clothes and enter again. I used it properly as a large communal bath before dinner and an open-air bath before going to bed. It was an artificial hot spring, so it was quite a spring quality. Dinner was served in a private room with consideration for my grandchildren, but it was simple but delicately seasoned and was top class in Nara inn. Breakfast was also very delicious. The landlady was well supervised by the employees from check-in to check-out, and everyone's manners were wonderful. At dinner, we were waiting at the entrance, and at breakfast, we were 々 for employees with great consideration to guide us ahead of the elevator. There is no accommodation, and dinner is possible, and it is a revisit.
DDouhuayutouHotel self-check-in, very convenient, there is no disposable toothpaste toothbrush in the room, but the hotel has independent access at the door, there is a disposable toothbrush toothpaste, as well as DHC skin care set, facial cleanser, makeup remover oil, water milk sample, free self-collection. Hotel location is super good, Kintetsu No. 5 exit, come up, the hotel entrance and opposite is the bus stop, there is a bus travel information center next to the hotel, you can buy a bus one-day coupon, multi-day coupon, one-day coupon 500 yen per person, very accounting, take the 8th road directly to Tang Zhaoti Temple, Yaowang Temple is near it, walking very close, there is a bus stop next to Yaowang Temple, there is a car directly to the Spring Festival Club, it is recommended to find the Spring Festival Club, and then slowly go down to Nara Park.
FFENGGUOThis house is slightly bigger than the one in Kyoto, but the toilet arrangement is not as good as in Kyoto, and the public bath is not as good as in Kyoto Tazuru...The price is also a bit expensive...
GGuest UserIt is a building that feels the age at first glance, but when I stepped in, the nostalgic space that was carefully maintained spread. The room I stayed in ”Awafuji” was a really nice room. In a tatami room with a wide 々, the ceiling is high and you can feel ”I came to stay at my grandparents' house”. I thought it was lit up without worrying when I saw the garden at night. It was only once that I was able to meet the staff because it was a corona cherry blossom, but I was able to feel the hospitality of the hospitality. I would like to let you go again.
AAnonymous UserThe reception and bathroom outside are okay, there is a washing machine, but the small room is mixed with men and women, and the curtains are not sealed, you can see inside, and the lights are dim, it is a bit scary to be alone. No one was there when we checked out. After waiting for a while, we put the room card at the front desk and left. One door is the dormitory area, and the other is the washing area. The dormitory area requires you to enter the password, but the washing area and the dormitory area are connected. You can enter the washing area casually. I feel so scared to stay overnight and run away. The price is cheap, but there is no sense of security.
