Chef Wang Yu Wen not only delivered a gastronomic experience throughout my teppanyaki lunch course, but he also delivered a very personal one-one dining service experience. His culinary expertise was showcased in every dish despite my dietary restriction, every flavour simply delighted my palate. Kirito did an exceptional service by recommending a great local Nara sake to pair with my lunch course., The second day of Kaiseki was equally delightful and I was extremely surprised to be greeted by the 料理長, Mr Nobukazu Yoshida who honestly provided such an “Omotenashi” experience throughout my time at Azekura. Mr Okubo Ren and Ms Miyamae also delivered great service during my lunch dining on the second day. Overall, the dining experience at Azekura was the highlight of my stay and till now, I couldn’t help but marvel due to the great service that was initiated by Mr Wang Yu Wen. Additionally, I would like to commend the impeccable service I received during the check-in process. I I was impressed at Mr Kim’s patience and service throughout the check-in experience, and I was really glad to get a warm welcoming experience from both Mr Arjun and Ms Pitcha at the lobby. Their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate specific requests made a significant difference, setting the tone for an enjoyable and happy stay. It is evident that the team takes pride in delivering top-notch service, and their efforts did not go unnoticed. Furthermore, the hospitality at the lounge was exemplary. Despite the huge crowd during the festive season, the lounge staff did create a comfortable and enjoyable one. Fantastic Hotel with a perfectly convenient location. The only thing is the bad attitude of a female manager at the front desk. We asked for more bottled water, but she refused. Refusing is OK, but she thought we didn't understand Japanese and said some bad words to us. Unfortunately, we are just not fluent in Japanese, but we can totally understand what she was saying. A pathetic woman manager ruined other staff's good service and hard work.

A hotel that feels like a business ＋ hot spring hotel, just next to JR Nara Station. The room is clean and quite large, ３ F, but the view from the window was completely elevated by the railway, and I was worried about the sound of the train. The bathroom in the room has only a shower, but there is a large communal bath in a natural hot spring, so I was able to relax. There was no problem with the hot springs and breakfast, and it was as expected. Free bottled water 1 book in the refrigerator, WiFi is also free to connect.

The best hotel experience we had in the entire Japan trip. The room is very spacious (about 30-40 square meters by my estimation) and it is spotless clean. Staff is super friendly and helpful. I especially like the Japanese style room design where you take off your shoes at the front door and enter the elevated wooden floored room. The location is unbeatable - only 3 mins walk from the Nara train station, on a small tourist street with tons of small shops and restaurants. The room is very quite even though it is on the tourist street.

If you want to find accommodation in Nara, I would strongly recommend considering this hotel. 1) Service: extremely high-quality service, even in Japan, it shows a higher level of standards, giving customers a noble charm, which requires you to experience it in person. 2) Scenic spot: Based on the 115-year history, many places in the hotel are scenic spots, antique, especially the Cherry Blossom Room (guest lobby), many artifacts, including the piano played by Einstein and the photos taken, will surprise you. 3) Food: very delicious breakfast, exquisite, delicious, and full of elegant ritual. We stayed one night in FUFU Nara on the way from Tokyo to Kyoto. We took a special train - Aoniyoshi from Kyoto to Nara and it was very enjoyable ride. We took a taxi from Kintetsu Nara station to the hotel. Hotel staff greeted us right away and kept the our luggage for us until the check-in time. It is located next to Ukimido and we were able to visit Todaiji and the giant Buddha before the check-in. Once we return, we had a nice cold welcome drink. Hotel staff were very professional and friendly. It was obvious that they take a great pride on performing their tasks. Our room was super clean and modern with some Japanese touches. And the hot tub on the balcony was amazing. We contemplated between FUFU and the new Shisui, but we were very glad that we chose FUFU. At FUFU, I believe all rooms are suites and come with the private open air onsen. We did read some reviews on the noise. We did not notice too much especially after dodging so many screaming school children at Todaiji. At night, we had teppan yaki dinner for our anniversary. It was pretty cool to dress in yukata with a hanten jacket. The sandals were comfortable, also. We walked through the bamboo garden to get to the restaurant. Our chef was friendly and food was delicious. With sake pairing, we had a great time. Breakfast was served at the same restaurant, and the walk was beautiful in the morning. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. The lady who served us explained each dish very politely. It's hard to believe they are so helpful even without any tips. Staying at FUFU made our stay in Nara very special.
