Jambo Mutara Camp is a slice of heaven in the North Kenyan bush. Perfectly located for game drives in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, the rooms are gorgeous, the food spectacular and the kind and caring staff next level. Watch elephants, giraffe, buffalo and more at the watering hole during lunch or while enjoying a cocktail at sundown. Hot water bottles tucked in to your bed at turndown are a wonderful surprise I’m now addicted to. Don’t miss this spot during your safari adventures.

We had a wonderful stay, all the staff were so accommodating and friendly. They really made our stay extra special, the food was so tasty as well! Nothing could beat arriving to a view of over 20 elephants as we had a swim. We even got to see a lioness whilst eating dinner.

Wonderful safari camp. Great food, beautiful tents and friendly staff. At night you hear the roar of elephants and lions. WiFi is strongest at the reception area. The water is so soft here… pure luxury. Tents are huge and fully equipped. Highly recommend

Beautiful camp ,friendly staff,clean accommodations,great service,and would recommend to anyone who is interested in staying here. Location is above a watering hole where the animals come to drink. We saw buffalo and antelope at the water while we were there.

Mutara is an amazing property in the conservancy , around the Ol Pajeto national park. The access gate to the park provides a fantastic connectivity to the park, which enabled us to get a timely and breathtaking view of a pride of lions and lioness at the golden hour, just when we were retiring to the camp. The rooms are extremely spacious and comfortable, with an electric quilt and a very large balcony area to observe the bird and sip a cuppa in silence. The staff were extremely warm and caring and accommodated our dietary restrictions. The spa experience was one of the best we have had , after the curvy car ride.

3 retired couples found Mutara to be our favorite tented camp experience on our 2 week safari. Luxurious, spacious, private tents hidden in the forests (complete with footed tub on the back deck). And the shared spaces - bar tent, dining tent and pool exceptional! But the staff and food made for perfection. Thank you Sakina, Abigail, Ebrahim, David, Zella and all the others for a memorable experience. And of course we did find our visits to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, White Rhino Sanctuary and Chimpanzee Sanctuary full of fantastic animal experiences including a pride of 12 lions relaxing in the shade! They have it all!

I traveled solo to Kenya and stayed at the Jumbo Mutara camp when I visited Ol Pajeta. This place exceeded my expectations in every way! Such a beautiful location and amazing activities such as bush walk, bush breakfast and dinner, sundowner and game drives. A big shoutout to the most courteous and friendly staff I’ve ever seen. I was truly made to feel at home. Thank you Simon for being so kind, sharing wonderful stories and taking me around on game drives and night drives. Keep up the spirit. Thank you David for being such a great host from start to finish. Truly appreciated. Eva’s massage was the best!!! She is truly skilled. Also, in service, Abigail was a sweetheart and Dominique was supremely polite. Thank you to all the chefs for all the delicious food. Thank you guards for keeping me safe!!!! Asante Sana to all of you. I hope to definitely visit again :) Highly recommend this gem of a place, for its location, ambience and staff .
