Have been to this property and it was an amazing stay for one night. Hotel looks are like European cottages made of wood. Rooms are also nice.
Location is just 2 min walk to Swiss garden and really convenient as there is a 7eleven around and also shuttle bus stop.
Cleanliness: Hotel rooms and the whole place is quite neet and clean.
Service: Awesome, staff was really helpful with everything and they even allow us early checkin which was much appreciated as we were travelling with a 2 year old.
Food: Nice breakfast and they even cooked some vegetarian food for lunch. Have happy hour where serve tea and snacks which will be enough for dinner.
Overall this property is owned by The Old England Manor which is another best hotels in town and they maintain the same service here as well.
This should be a 4 star hotel instead of 3 star.

Location is short throw from nantou bus stop. Slight walking distance to 7-Eleven. Has hotpot restaurant at the hotel lobby. Good mountain scenic view from hotel.
Only down side was that there are no road light outside. If wanna grab thing from 7-Eleven at night, hotel can lend a torchlight for u to walk there.

Stayed for two nights. A staff were all friendly and helpful right from the moment you pull up the luggage drop off. Check in took a while but they directed each party to a different lounge section and provided drinks and snacks while they processed your arrival. Our bags were waiting for us when we got to the rooms. The room and bathrooms were clean. A bottle of their house red was provided each day along with bottles of beer, water and other snacks. A different series of toiletries were also provided each day. Dinner was included during our stay and entree choices were provided upfront. For guest staying more than a night, they provide a different menu up to 3 days. Guests can also opt for the staff to make arrangements for dinner at an outside establishment. Each course was delicious. It rained quite a bit during our stay so there were areas that were a bit musky but overall, it was a relaxing stay with good food and friendly staff.

The superior double room on the 3rd floor is in the middle of the building. There are 2 TVs in total. The B&B also has a capsule coffee machine. The balcony has a beautiful view. If you want to drink coffee in the morning and take photos, go into the room and close the doors and windows tightly. There are non-toxic drugs on the mountain. Ji Da Xing Chun Xiang, you must wear slippers in the bathroom, they are slippery, and there is a warning to bring your own toothpaste and toothbrush.
Breakfast is a buffet, mostly Chinese style. The fried cabbage is great. Children love the spicy fried instant noodles. The American coffee is also good and not too light.
It is a 6-minute drive from Cingjing Farm and a 5-minute walk from 7-11. The location is good.
The only drawback is that the sound of pulling out a chair in each room can be heard clearly, but there is no sound of speech.

On the third day of the new year, I participated in the itinerary of a travel agency. I stayed at the Guanyue Hotel that night. I wanted to say that I would stay for another day tomorrow night. I would wash the clothes and dry them, but the clothes were washed and then put them in the dryer. Drying, the first time it was dried for 20 minutes, the clothes were still moisturized. I lost a money and let it dry for another 20 minutes. I still didn’t dry it. Later, I had to take the baked clothes back to the room. I hung it with the hanger in the room to let it dry. The next day (the fourth day of the year), I responded to the hotel counter. The counter also said that they would invite someone to overhaul it. As a result, I took the clothes to dry on the night of the fourth day of the year. Unexpected problems or not solved ... In addition to the above problems, other hardware facilities make us very satisfied.

The front desk service is enthusiastic, and the breakfast and dinner are also delicious and of a high standard.
The slide is very fast, and the two children are very satisfied. Even the 40-year-old boy finds it very fun. The only thing is that it requires a hard landing when it reaches the ground. It is recommended that the bottom section should be changed into a buffer zone.
The bathroom is very large, and the double massage room faces the uninhabited hillside along the pool window. You understand.

We checked in because we were celebrating an anniversary! The hotel also helped with the decoration and provided a bottle of red wine which was very thoughtful☺️
I didn’t go anywhere, just stayed in the hotel and it was so relaxing☺️
There are so many different styles of dinner, but it’s a pity that people with small stomachs can’t hold so many things..😂
After eating, you can go to the play area to move around and throw a basketball to digest...
I was so full that I played darts and pool 😂😂 It was so fun 😁
There was some incident at breakfast the next day that I won’t go into details~
But the hotel's handling method is very good. It takes our feelings into consideration!
Tea was originally given to us as a gift, but we did not accept it at the moment.
But when we checked out, the hotel staff personally gave us handmade bread from the hotel’s baking department and insisted that we accept it😀
I will still choose here next time I go to Nantou for vacation^_^

The owner of the B&B is a very nice person and makes you feel very comfortable.
When I enter the store, the boss will buy me a cup of tea🍵. Then I have a lot of transportation questions to ask the boss, and the boss patiently helps me with my inquiries and gives me opinions. His attitude is really not too good. I remember that when I arrived early, I left my luggage at the front desk before check-in time. When I came back, my luggage had already been sent to the room. The boss also taught me how to use the TV 📺 He was really very attentive
The hotel room is quite large, and the facilities are very new. There is a hot water machine. The owner said that this may be the newest B&B on this nearby street. There is an Internet TV in the room where you can watch YouTube and so on. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry!
There are all shops and restaurants nearby. The location is like a small town. Many shops are concentrated together. If you want to take the bus, it is only a 2-minute walk, which is very convenient! Then, the B&B sells Sun Moon Lake ferry tickets, which are quite cost-effective. It’s cheaper than buying them yourself.

But the next day I got up and the amazing beauty came into sight. In the morning, insects and birds called the mountains and mists. KkohKengLocation: Excellent! It is located next to the ticketing office and hence, easier to buy boat ticket. We are lucky to get a complimentary upgrade to a four bedder and it faces the lake. It was beautiful. There are a lot of eateries and shops selling local delicacies so not too worry about meals.

GGuest UserEnjoyed my stay here. The service was extremely good, the reception very kindly recommended us places to visit. The hotel sells bicycle rental voucher with papago (bike rental shop) at a discounted price of NTD 100 for a full day rental (8am to 5pm) and also round trip boat ride tickets at NTD 250. Hotel rooms are clean and the bed was comfy. Breakfast here starts at 8.30 to 9.30 and it was simple but good.
The hotel is about 6 minutes away from the bus terminal in Shuishe Visitor Centre. It's recommended to think twice before booking if you have too much luggage as you have to walk by the roadside (no pedestrian lane). Also, the hotel reception is located separately from the hotel so be prepared to walk about 3 minutes to your room. Note there's quite a steep slope here to the rooms and there are wooden planks you have to pull your bag over. The nearest 7 Eleven is also at the Visitor Centre so you have to walk out there.

GGuest UserThe best part about this hotel (国民賓館) is its location. Bus 6664, 6658, 6659 all stop less than 80m from its entrance if you're using Nantou bus. It's along the main road which is easy for pickups if you're joining local day or night tours. Across the road from Little Swiss Garden. Even Cingjing Farm has signs along its walking paths directing visitors to the hotel.
The other main benefit was that the room rates I paid on Trip.com included a pair of tickets to Green Green Grassland, Little Swiss Garden and a discounted ticket (only need top up 30TWD each) to the Cingjing Skywalk - pleasantly surprised to know this only at check-in although I knew beforehand that the room rates included basic Chinese breakfast for 2, which was another convenient point for guests.
The hotel buildings and room was a bit dated, no aircon since the weather in the evening and morning is cooling. But the room, bed, utilensils and toilet were clean. The view from the room balcony and hotel garden was nice to view sunset.

EEvangelin WongMost stays within Cingjing has no elevator/ lift, so be prepared to carry your luggages up & down some stairs within the compound.
Room was as per advertised. Spacious enough for a family of 4.
Toothbrush, comb, shavers and towels are available too.
Staff was good and clear of information. Just be mindful that after 8pm onwards, there would be no staff around - so you would require to remember the password of the main entrance.
NOTE: There's no English T&Cs, so be prepared to have your Google translator on your phone if you can't read Chinese.
Constant hot water for shower would be from 5PM to 12PM daily. If you would to shower earlier in the morning, you would require let the water run for awhile before the hot water is available otherwise you may have to shower with icy cold water.
Generally, you would require a transport within Cingjing else it's not accessible for you to grab food or your necessities from the 7-11.
Breakfast is available at NT$200/pax from 7:30AM - 9AM. Brunch is available at ala carte prices ranging from NT$150 onwards from 9AM - 2PM. Restaurants are available within Cingjing if you have your own transportation. Otherwise, you may wish to call the cafe located at the Swiss Garden, they do offer food delivery but be sure to check on their operating hours. 😀

If you don't have access to a car, be prepared for a few transportation challenges. Walking to and from the bus stop to Cing Jing Farm can be a bit challenging, as there are no dedicated pedestrian pathways, and you'll be sharing the road with trucks and lorries. The nearest 711 convenience store is a considerable distance away, and I wouldn't recommend walking there due to safety concerns.
On the plus side, the hotel's customer service is exceptional, particularly their prompt responses on LINE. They were incredibly helpful in answering my questions about navigating the sometimes confusing public transport system.
One of the standout features is the breathtaking view from the balcony. On clear days, you can enjoy unforgettable sunsets, making it a fantastic spot to relax. While some guests have mentioned concerns about sound insulation, I personally didn't find it to be a major issue. However, it's worth noting that noise from neighboring rooms, especially if there are children, maybe more noticeable due to the wooden floors.

GGuest UserWe stayed at Shuian Lakeside Hotel for 2 nights, and the hospitality throughout our stay was the best that I've ever experienced. Everyone at the hotel was amazing, most especially the owners. Mrs. Hwang, I believe is her name, was one of them, and she went above and beyond. She was very accommodating with our request to change our room when we first arrived. The next day, when she found out we were heading to Wenwu Temple, which would take 20 minutes by bus, she offered to drive us since she was heading that direction. Later that night, she and her husband took the time to help us figure out which early bus to take in order for us to make our connection to Taichung Station. When we asked where the bus stop was, she went a step further to show us by taking us there personally! The hotel's location was perfect — by the lake and in the center of everything. The room was new, clean and comfortable. And what a bonus, breakfast was included! I was very pleased with the breakfast, which consisted of porridge, eggs, vegetables and 6 other dishes. Bananas were also provided. It kept us full till late in the afternoon. I enjoyed staying in Ita Thao, and Mrs. Hwang definitely made it special and memorable. I appreciate her warmth and kindness. If you're looking for a good hotel and people, I definitely recommend Shuian Lakeside Hotel.
