Xuanwu Hotels in Nanjing

Best hotel in Nanjing! This is our second time at Central Hotel (we also stayed here back in 2019). Both of our stays have been fantastic. The hotel's location is great, it's only a few minutes walk to the Xinjiekou (新街口） metro station where you can then go straight to Mingxiaoling scenic area (明孝陵景区）and Mochouhu park (莫愁湖公园）via metro line 2 or Zhonghuamen Gate (中华门）and Fuzimiao (夫子庙）via metro line 1. You can also go to Niushoushan Cultural Tourism Area (南京牛首山文化旅游区) by taking metro line 1 to Tianlongsi metro station (天隆寺地铁站) and then take the 712 or 755 bus to the Niushoushan bus stop. The hotel's location in Xinjiekou also makes it a convenient spot to go shopping, as there are many malls and restaurants within walking distance. We also had a great experience with the hotel's service. The staff were all courteous and friendly. They were able to assist us with all our needs in a prompt and helpful manner. For example, we felt our AC wasn't strong enough, so we called the front desk (the AC works properly, it's just that we are used to cooler temperatures indoors when living in the United States). Ms. Meijuan Wang, the Housekeeping Supervisor, and a technician immediately assisted us and resolved our request. Ms. Meijuan Wang also sent us a very helpful brochure with all the best spots in Nanjing. Thanks to this, we learned about Fengfu Road (丰富路）and enjoyed a lot of delicious street food there. We also had breakfast in the hotel twice during our stay - we initially didn't book breakfast when reserving the room on Trip.com, but we gave it a try and found it quite nice and decided to have breakfast at the hotel again the following day. There's a variety of foods to choose from, and the breakfast is an all-you-can-eat buffet style with multiple Nanjing local cuisine. Overall, we loved our stay in this beautiful and well-maintained hotel and will definitely come back again!

Due to unforeseen circumstances , I ended up staying at The Golden Eagle Summit hotel. Check-in was smooth. The location is perfect! The hotel’s entrance was at the back, while the front part is a mall with lots of shops, restaurants and a supermarket. Also, the metro station is right there which was so convenient! The room decor is a bit old fashioned, but nevertheless very clean. The breakfast buffet was ok, but needs more variety. The service is great! Great place to stay in the downtown area!

Delicious breakfast, attentive staff, business-like ambience, state of the art service. Location is ok. It's right next to the Pioneer Library, a very famous art library and is also within 30 minutes or so to other cool places like a water park, the Nanjing City Wall, Nanjing Eye (a bridge). Not many restaurant options nearby but the hotel foods is pretty good. There's a Japanese restaurant nearby and an Italian one called La Mia Casa is worth a visit. Very good hotel overall. No complaints except for costly dinner (148 RMB per person per buffet meal).

Always a good stay. Only one concern is the odour in the room what i assume is the sanitary system. I think the building is quite old and depreciation has taken its toll on infrastructure. Aside from this the lounge is great and the guest services manager is always obliging and very courteous every time I visit. Breakfast was noticeably better this time too. More condiments and food quality seemed fresher too.Many thanks.

It is conveniently situated close to Deji Plaza and Xinjiekou MRT, which is one of the city's premier shopping and dining destinations. Additionally, there are numerous excellent restaurants just opposite the hotel, providing a wide variety of dining options. The ease of access to transportation was another highlight, making it simple to explore the rest of the city. Rooms: The rooms at Novotel Nanjing Central Suning are incredibly clean, spacious, and smoke-free, which is a huge plus for those who prefer a fresh and healthy environment. The design of the rooms is modern and comfortable, offering a relaxing retreat after a day of sightseeing or business meetings. The central location of the hotel also ensures that many rooms offer stunning city views, adding to the overall experience. Service: The staff at the hotel were exceptionally helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was enjoyable and comfortable. From the front desk to the housekeeping team, everyone was professional and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests or questions I had. Amenities: The hotel offers a range of amenities that enhance the stay experience. The fitness center is well-equipped, providing a great space for guests to maintain their workout routine. The restaurant within the hotel serves a delicious breakfast with a wide selection of options, catering to both Western and Asian tastes. Overall Experience: My stay at the Novotel Nanjing Central Suning was nothing short of excellent. The combination of its central location, clean and spacious rooms, smoke-free environment, and outstanding service made my visit to Nanjing truly memorable. The location was excellent, and the open facilities were very good. I understand it's a ”China thing” that prevents outdoor swimming pools from being open to the public other than July - August - but it's ridiculous and one that a 5-star hotel should change. You advertise having an indoor and outdoor pool; however, 85% of the entire year, it is closed.... so how can you say you have an outdoor pool? It's false advertising. It was 32 degrees this weekend and perfect weather for the outdoor pool, but you didn't have it open - thus, I took away two stars on facilities. The service in the restaurant was EXCELLENT on the 45th floor, extremely good and well worth the 5stars; the front desk people also on the 1st floor incredible; however, the service in the (the indoor!!!) swimming pool was extremely average - feeling like being served from student intern vs. any 5star customer service at all. The service in the bar on the 78th floor was highly average. also, for 5star, with us having to ask for drinks and not a single smile when serving the drinks, while the 78th-floor views are breathtaking, the service was let down. Last but not least, our parents-in-law traveled with us and rang the front desk for help with the TV. They rang twice, and they were waiting for someone to help them. I have stayed at Intercontinental Hotels in other locations, and the service is always very good. While some departments at this location were good, they needed to be more balanced by the inconsistency of the other departments.
