Hotels Near Pavilion of Amphibians and Reptiles in Nanjing

First of all, the sound insulation is very poor, you can hear the neighbor snoring. But this is not the most uncomfortable thing. The bed is okay, but the bathroom is really dirty. The glass is really dirty. This is not the most unbearable thing. The smell of sewerage in the bathroom is very strong. It smells very bad if I don't turn on the ventilation. I can smell it even on the bed. , it’s very noisy when it’s turned on. I didn’t sleep well all night. I didn’t expect that a room with a cost of nearly 200 would be so bad😥

It was my first time to stay at the Ascott Hotel in Nanjing. It was said that it had just opened. After booking a room, I received a call from the hotel, asking about travel methods, arrival time and room requirements, and sent a route map. It was very clear and very fast. We arrived at the hotel parking lot. The front desk service was very attentive and even escorted us into the room. The room was very large and the view outside the window was very wide. However, we were woken up by the construction noise in the morning. Of course, this is not a hotel problem, but I hope the hotel can communicate with the construction site and provide additional parking. The hotel signs are not clear, and it would be difficult to find the entrance to the hotel in the underground parking lot if the front desk had not sent a route map in advance. In short, my stay was good. I will come back next time and experience breakfast.

They did their best to make our stay as pleasant as possible… they upgraded our room at no extra cost to allow us to have a beautiful view of the lake … they gave us some soft drinks after their restaurant and lounge were closed … amazing staff and convenient location right at the subway station… I didn’t have to use taxi or Didi at all during my whole trip… thanks !

This hotel’s location is really good. It is located right next to a major shopping mall with lots of good restaurants and stores. It’s located within walking distance from Xuanwu Gate 玄武门 and Xuanwu Lake 玄武湖. It’s right next to a subway that provides easy access to other parts of Nanjing like the Nanjing Museum 南京博物院 or the Confucian Temple area 夫子庙. The rooms were clean and everything in it felt high quality. The view of Nanjing from my room was beautiful. Although the hotel staff are very friendly, I marked the service and amenities as 4/5 for a few reasons. First, laundry is relatively expensive whereas at Atour 亚朵 it’s free. If i remember correctly, they wanted me to pay 35 or so rmb per article of clothing. Secondly, the hotel allows delivery of takeout but they do not send it to your room like they do at Atour 亚朵. You have to go to the lobby and pick it up yourself. These are the only two things that stop me from giving all 5/5s. Other than that, I loved this hotel especially for its location and comfortable rooms. If you dont care about doing laundry or having takeout ordered directly to your room, then those two criticisms are relatively minor things. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel regardless.

Always a good stay. Only one concern is the odour in the room what i assume is the sanitary system. I think the building is quite old and depreciation has taken its toll on infrastructure. Aside from this the lounge is great and the guest services manager is always obliging and very courteous every time I visit. Breakfast was noticeably better this time too. More condiments and food quality seemed fresher too.Many thanks.

I loved my stay at this hostel🙌🏾 First time to stay in a hostel and was pretty anxious about it all. But when I got there, all of it went away. The staff helped me carry my luggage, they were are friendly, no check-in trouble just perfect. The place is so tidy and clean hence well managed. Cleaning staff is always active. The hostels are very clean too and comfortable, you will sleep well there. The environment is so vibrant and very good for being socializing others. The big thing I loved about here is the friendliness of everyone there, you socialize with new people everyday, play games like pingpong, billiards, card games and more. There are music instruments like a grand piano, guitar, small African drum and mics too to showcase your talents at the Karaoke Stage. There are cozy areas where you can chill too if you want some privacy. A bar is also located inside as well. Honestly I didn’t want to leave, I kept on extending my days there🤦🏾♂️😂😂😂 Just 2 downsides, it’s just a little difficult to locate since you expect to see Douyuan Youth Hostel but it’s themed Moreland Youth Hostel. Then it’s on the 3rd floor but the elevator doesn’t work. Hope these get fixed soon…

I came to study nearby. The price of this hotel is quite reasonable. The facilities are very new. It should be a newly opened hotel. However, on the first day I checked in, there were probably a lot of ants in the house next to the community. However, the merchant adjusted a room in time. This overall feeling not bad

The room is clean and comfortable. the toilet got sensor toilet bowl and control bidet wash. Two cute robots to delivery goods and inside room got smart AI room service that will have quite fun to talk to. got there laundry room usage for customers with free of charged. only improvement needed is there language beside mandarin and front desk officer be more helpful for foreigner customer.

I booked a hotel near the train station because I will go to Suzhou. But the environment here is nice, so I changed my plan to add one day and leave a little earlier. I'm so happy that the washing machine is dry on such a hot day. For foreign travelers, China is not a good place (visiting China during the Chinese school vacation is never a good option) but if you are interested in history, I think it is a good event.
