Our room was super close to the stairs that led to the beach which was awesome. However, the shower was so tiny that I kept touching the cold tile every time I tried to wash myself. The pool was very nice and warm the entire time. Parking was also never an issue, although we did have an issue with the oven. We turned it on to preheat and almost immediately it started smoking and set off the fire alarm. It was easy enough to stop that but we decided to not take the chance with the oven after that

Pictures are deceiving. Rooms are very cramped. Bathrooms are very small. Mildew in shower faucets, cracked and jagged tiles, stained couch cushion, odor, they were drying sheets by draping them over a bush outside. It was so cramped we left 4 days early and they won't pro rate and give us any money baTV. If you have any kind of physical disability don't even try this place. The only positives were close to the beach and nice tv.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, and very close to the beach. It is an older hotel but well kept. I have no intention on sitting in a room while at the beach anyways. The pool was nice as well but I did not get in it, I prefer the beach. Very convenient location and close to restaurants and shops. Nags Head Pier is a very short distance from the hotel.

Had great stay. I stayed with my wife, kid and parents. The suite was amazing and very budget friendly. It had 2 bedrooms with a tv and king size bead each. The living room was complete with a tv and sofas, dining table. It had full kitchen with utensils and appliances. It was right in front of the beach with deck to view the beach and sunrise.

Very affordable. Great value. Wonderful staff. Oceanfront location. Minutes from the ocean. Within walking distance of several restaurants and frozen treats. We have stayed here multiple times and plan to return next month and next summer.

Very clean simple hotel perfect for families. Right on the beach. Very nice pool that is also very clean and very nice staff. We really enjoyed both of our rooms that our large family shared and you can’t beat the location right next to the pier

The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. If we had a problem they took care of it immediately with no delays. The only issue is the parking but that is trivial to me. It had a wonderful time and I would stay again. I would also recommend to other friends and family to stay at The Colonial Inn.

This place needs to be closed for a season and major renovations done. The room seemed clean and the bed was comfortable, but the ceiling in the bathroom was falling in, and the wall was buckled under that pressure. (I will attach pictures). Coming down the steps the wood above is separated from the building. Paint was peeling badly. Upon checkout, there was a kiosk to return your keys in. Trying to get the keys in it, thr drawer popped open and a handful of keys came out that people had tried to get in. This is technically an ocean front hotel, But you cannot see the ocean from it.. (pictures attached). So, I was not miserable, but I won't be staying here again. I'm glad it was only for 1 night

Good place for the money. You are located next to the fishing pier and walking distance to a great ice cream shop. They do the fireworks for 4th of July right off the pier About a 15 minute right to local mall and stores. I would definitely recommend them getting gas grills ,So people could have a place to cook on near the pool definitely needs renovation .
