Five minutes walk from the station, the front desk is very good, the room is quite big, there is no stain, very clean, although the breakfast is not much style, but it is delicious, to say the disadvantage is that the room is not very soundproof, and the wi-fi is very slow.

WOW! This was the first Ryokan Onsen that I stayed in and I was blown away by the lodging, the amazing staff, and the food. I say lodging because my ryokan has as much square footage as my home—a balcony, an outdoor onsen, shower and changing area, two separate toilet rooms, an open configurable area with kitchen, dining area, living room area, and sleeping area. They provided a yukata and a cloth purse that I wore for meals in the restaurant, and pajamas for relaxing in the accommodations. Every corner of the room and the ryokan was thoughtfully decorated—flower arrangements, ceramics, pictures, and so on. Happy hour each evening was a relaxing affair in the low-key bar area. Our tuxedo-clad host was efficient and friendly. Guests have a choice of ”American” or Japanese breakfast. I tried each. ”American” breakfast is much different from what we'd have in the USA, but you won't get the tasty Umeboshi plum or Japanese pickles provided with the Japanese breakfast. I found that both choices were far too much for me. On two days I opted instead to get a pastry from the bake shop and eat in my room. The kaiseki was fabulous. I was with a group (10 total) so we dined in our own room each night. Each night had a different menu. Hotel Nishi Nagato resort is a hotel located in Oaza Kanda, toyokita CHO, Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. On April 13, 2022, I visited Usa Jingu shrine. From there, I drove across the Kanmon Bridge. I landed in Honshu. Take the Kozuki IC down the highway. Run national route 191 along the sea. Arrived at Hotel Nishi Nagato Resort. The parking lot is on the slope, but this day I was able to stop at a relatively nearby parking lot. It was a stormy weather on this day, so it is grateful that the distance to walk is shorter. Because it is a luxury hotel, it is especially grateful that it is this weather to carry your luggage. The facade feels like this. First of all, check in at the front desk. This time, I use the prefectural population division, so I present a vaccination certificate at the front desk. It seems to be ”the sacred place of the lover”. Grandpa and grandmother are unrelated (smiling) but the store feels like this. From the lounge, the kakushima Ohashi bridge looks clean. Check-in is over and move to the room. I am glad that the floor with the front desk is treated on the third floor and the room on the same floor is the same floor. Hotel Nishi Nagato Resort is said to be an ocean view in all rooms. The refrigerator is small. Hot water heater and cold water pot. The toilet is hot water toilet seat. Washington. I probably don't use it because I go to the public bath, but there is also a bathtub. It is safe to go to the public bath because there are two keys to the room. I went to the public bath immediately. It is said that it is a hot spring, but it is colorless and transparent and smellless spring quality. It was about 23000 yen for 2 people with 2 meals per night using the prefectural division. Wifi was also fast. Last time, I came to sightseeing at kakushima Ohashi bridge and this hotel was seen, so I came to stay. The dinner hall goes up the stairs first. It is a big banquet hall. The writing is like this. Sashimi. Ebisu termidol. Japanese soba. Soy milk pot. I asked for sake. It was Masamune kiku. It was 4 5 degrees of sake, and it was a little light. Fried pufferfish. puffer rice and miso soup. Dessert is pannakotta. Breakfast the next morning is a restaurant on the same floor. The name of the restaurant is ”Belvedere” and means ”beautiful view” in Italy. Breakfast is a Viking. Check out and drove ahead. A quiet inn right next to the ruins of Hagi Castle, you can enjoy walking around Hagi, including the castle town and the Hagi Museum. There is a Hagiyaki kiln in the castle, so it's a good idea to plan your visit with plenty of time. Since it is in the Sannomaru area, there are no convenience stores nearby, and there are middle and high schools with large school grounds, so it is very quiet at night. There is also a large bathhouse where you can soothe your tiredness. Accommodation plans include accommodation with breakfast included, making it a convenient inn for those traveling by car where the arrival time is uncertain. It is a purveyor to the imperial family, and the facilities, cleanliness of the rooms, and service of the staff are impeccable.

This time as well, I took sufficient precautions to prevent infection, followed the ``basic ideas for preventing infection'' and ``specific measures to be taken,'' and enjoyed my trip. I have stayed at Hagi several times, but this time I stayed in a room with an open-air bath, so the view was great with the sea in front of me, and I liked it the most because I was able to take a bath whenever I wanted. Since we arrived early, we were able to rent a bicycle (for a fee) and take a leisurely 3-hour stroll through the streets of Hagi. Before staying, I had asked questions online, but there was no response.I sent an email and received a reply right away, but the communication was awkward and it felt like it was someone else's problem. We were told that the welcome drink at check-in was unlimited juice, coffee, beer, etc. until 6pm, so we grabbed a glass of beer and had it in our room. Of course, I came twice with an empty glass to replace it. I was told that I could make and eat soft-serve ice cream as many times as I wanted during my stay, but I guess soft-serve ice cream in the winter is tough for the elderly.The waitress recommended that I use the public bath, so there weren't many people. When I arrived, I was very disappointed to see that the floor was soaked, the washing area was extremely dirty, and there was something like soap scum floating in the bathtub. The website seems to be targeted at women, but if it's primarily aimed at families with children, it seems like it's a fairly low-ranked inn. The public bath is not a children's playground, so I don't think play equipment is necessary. For dinner, we purposely paid for a private room. The main dishes were live abalone and Kuroge Wagyu beef.The abalone was fresh and the Kuroge Wagyu beef was fatty and delicious. However, the food content was neither good nor bad, and I felt like I received a wide variety of items evenly. Traveling is my hobby, so I stay at a lot of different inns, but to be honest, I can't help but feel disappointed when it comes to inns. Unfortunately, there is no shuttle service to Hagi Bus Center, but only to Higashi-Hagi Station. Most of the customers used cars, but I think it is necessary to consider the convenience of public transportation.

Rooms were clean and decently sized for 2 adults. Great stop for one night before continuing on our trip. Staff at the front desk was super helpful and spoke great english!

This was my first time staying here, and I was impressed by the spectacular view from my room (Tembo-no-machi, 5th floor) and the delicious food. The sashimi was fresh and the abalone and Nagahagi wagyu beef were delicious, so ordering extra was a great decision. It was cloudy throughout the day of our stay, but even so, the ocean was beautiful and soothing. If you stay here, I recommend choosing a higher floor. The open-air bath wasn't too crowded, probably because they don't accept day-trippers, so I was able to relax. Next time, I'd like to stay several nights and relax. This has become one of my favorite inns and I'll definitely return. However, I would have liked to use the private open-air bath and bedrock bath in the morning as well. If check-out was at 11am, it would be even better!

The hot spring pool in Hagimotojin is interestingly designed. It is fun to soak in a circle of indoor, outdoor and semi-open air. After arriving at Tohagi Station, you can first store your luggage at the station desk. Please ask the staff to contact the hotel to take the luggage to the hotel. After you return from sightseeing, contact the hotel car to pick you up at the station (3:00 to 6:00 pm). The hotel has a car that allows you to go to the observation deck on the top of the mountain (880 yen). It feels good to soak your feet in front of the sunset over the Sea of ​​Japan.
