Spon Boutique Hotel

From the outside this hotel is lovely. Unfortunately to get to your room you have to negotiate two flights of quite steep stairs- if you have any knee or mobility problems it would be difficult. Small bathroom, we had no balcony but the view from the bedroom was spectacular. The downside was the noise very busy road and underneath was a cafe come nightclub. So sleeping was extremely difficult!

Let me start by saying that the view of the port is lovely and Georgia is super helpful and responsive. But everything else is not what you’d expect from an expensive “boutique hotel”. The rooms are small with nice views but the softest mattress I have ever slept on, and the room is not overly clean. The bathrooms are in desperate need of a renovation. There is no parking. The hotel is on a very busy street with relentless traffic and over the busiest nightclubs in town. The parties sound like a lot of fun and continue until 3am and then the building work next door starts at 0730h. The breakfast is adequate at the bar downstairs but the staff are a little inept and it costs 2€ for a second coffee. Not great for such an expensive stay. We have stayed in many wonderful hotels in Greece and this is by far the worst and most expensive by a long, long way. Think twice before you stay.

The hotel is at a great location. It has an extremely nice view from the balcony. It has an extremely nice breakfast and very friendly personnel. Given that below and next door there are bars at night it might not be quiet (this was the case for 1 of our nights there). The room has earplugs available. The room could be a bit larger and we could not see a smoke detector although it was mainly made of wood.
