"The toilet in the room wasn't flushed or hadn't been flushed properly. The landlord said I was wrong (he thought I meant a green liquid), but actually he was wrong; it wasn't green liquid, otherwise I wouldn't have had to brush my teeth in the outside bathroom the next day. (I only discovered the toilet problem when I got up to use the bathroom the next day, then went back to sleep, so I didn't take a picture. Later, I was busy checking out and didn't take any more pictures. I washed up outside the bathroom the first night, so I only noticed it the next day. I flushed twice but it wouldn't flush, so I had to use the outside bathroom). Aside from this one issue, which the landlord seemed unaware of, he resolved all the other problems he could. And since we were all Chinese, he allowed me to check out an hour or two late (all the Fijian apartments I've stayed in so far have required check-out before 11 pm), so he's a good landlord. The hygiene issue was probably due to him being in a remote location and not being aware of the situation, or his cleaning staff not thoroughly checking the toilet… these are probably issues that can be improved. In other words, this apartment could potentially be a perfect place for Chinese tourists visiting Fiji in the future."

"The hotel service was excellent. I booked it during a very special period. There was a slight issue on the first day, but the room was thoroughly cleaned on the second day. There's a supermarket nearby. The beach isn't anything special, but it's a good place to stay if you're going to the outer islands. All in all, it was still very nice."

Plus, a McDonald's 🍔, a large supermarket, and a Western fast-food restaurant are all nearby, which is very convenient. The room came equipped with a hairdryer, shower cap, soap, shower gel, conditioner, refrigerator, and tissues. You'll need to bring your own slippers and toothbrush/toothpaste (which is pretty standard for most hotels anyway)."

"Unfortunately, a disappointing stay. The Wi-Fi didn’t work until the following morning, and the biggest issue was the lack of privacy. Checkout was at 11am, yet just after 9am staff scanned their key, opened our door and looked into the room while we were asleep. Then at 9:27am they rang the doorbell and said, “Oh, you’re still in the room… when are you leaving?” After a huge amount of travelling, we were exhausted and trying to sleep. Being entered on and rushed almost two hours before checkout was uncomfortable and unacceptable. Definitely not the experience we expected from The Sebel."
