While Murrurundi Cottage is ideal for people wanting a private hide-away, our location is near the local train station, which is handy for those wanting to arrive via the train from Sydney but it is worth knowing the trains including coal trains do pass by regularly (up to every one to two hours). The train station is nearby and travelling via the train is a popular way to reach Murrurundi. It is advisable to book your train ticket in advance. From Sydney, it takes 4 hours and 35 minutes and costs between $40-$60. Guest must refrain from smoking indoors. You have access to the entire cottage and back yard has an outside table and seating. The property is on a sizeable block of land - 1017 square metres. There is a carport for your car available and free street parking. It is a wheelchair friendly home. We also welcome pets but not on the sofa. The wifi details are on the fridge. The host will give you the latch key details on booking. The key is for the side door and there is only two keys for the side and back door as all the doors can be locked and opened from inside. In Autumn and Winter (May to November) warm outdoor clothing is advisable as temperatures can be up to 10 degrees cooler than Sydney temperatures. We do have electric blankets for the two main bedrooms and reverse cycle heating, electric radiators to keep you warm in winter. ACTIVITIES APLENTY.
