Room was clean and cosy. The breakfast was lovely I would recommend the traditional Irish breakfast. The host was so friendly and helpful with our travels! Would absolutely stay here again!! The dapper duck was and excellent pub to eat at as well! It was a very short walk for supper.

This is a wonderful B&B - large tastefully decorated room with all the facilities one needs including good Wi-Fi. Breakfast was excellent and Jacci is a great hostess. Also the price is reasonable. I highly recommend it,

Church View B & B is a fabulous little gem a short drive from Sligo. Have fun in Sligo, rest in Gorteen ! The place is quiet, impeccably clean and Jaci is a fantastic host! We rested well, ate well and had a great experience overall. If you are looking to experience the country side with the locals, this is the place for you. Thank you Jaci from two Canadian travellers!

Very average. The small double bed & noisy road made the stay uncomfortable. Also the room was very warm.

Won't be booking there again Host neither welcoming nor helpful, I needed transportation into the next town and all I got was a card with a phone number and the words 'probably he won't do it because it's a part time taxi and he works early...' Be aware Gurteen is a town where the last bus is at 9 pm, no taxi service and even Uber bailed 5 min before the requested time (23h30) - so a car is an absolute obligation! Regarding the room, I really don't know what laundry detergent is used in this B&B but upon getting into the room the smell was so strong, it gave me a headache, which was a pity since the mattress was quite good... Overall a very disappointing experience.

Comfortable beds We were very happy with our room. The bed was so comfortable , the layout was great. I loved that they had 2 chairs and a table in between to watch tv as well as have a tea and coffee with a little biscuit .Free bottled water . They also included little extras like manicure set, toothpicks, toiletries . Bedside tables and lamps on both sides of the bed. We loved our stay , as good as any big hotel. Didn’t get to sample breakfast as we had an early start. Easy parking and easy checkout too.Not sure if it was the owner but the lady that checked us in was very friendly and welcoming and informative . Wed Definitely stay again .

We found Church View B&B and were amazed they could accommodate us on very short notice due to a change in the health of a longtime friend who usually accommodates four traveling senior citizen sisters. We are fully aware that we are formidable in requesting a family room, and Jackie rose to the occasion. Guest bedrooms and a shared lounge are all upstairs, but we have a rule amongst us that if you can't port your own bag, you've packed too much. Jackie did help with the bag of one sister with a broken foot, which was much appreciated. Our family room was large and well-equipped. We were all struck by the fact that it seemed that Jackie must have spent a night in the room, as the outlet for the hair dryer was near a large mirror, the drapes were layered to block out the light from the early morning sunrise near the summer solstice, and the coffee/tea/water service in the room was conveniently placed. The beds were comfortable, the room was spotless, and the shower refreshing. There are signs in the bathroom alerting users to the eco-friendly water heating system, and they are spot on. It takes up to two minutes to get hot water, but once warned, there was no frustration, just appreciation. Breakfast was delicious, and there was a wonderful variety of continental options as well as the cooked breakfast from which to choose. Gorteen was a place unknown to us before this trip, but a village worth returning to. The Dapper Duck Pub is just a few yards away from the Church View B&B and was a wonderful recommendation. You won't be disappointed in this lovely, clean, welcoming B&B in a charming Co. Sligo town!
