The NH München Unterhaching hotel is set in a quiet residential of Munich, yet it’s only a 15-minute train ride to the city’s main sites. The best experience ever. The staff are amazing and very helpful. Would definitely stay only here in munich and highly recommend it.
Nearby the building for trade shows Munich Messe lies Moxy Munich Messe. A wonderful place to stay with affordable room rates. The design is for people with stylish in mind. The lobby is buzzing, food and drinks are available 24/7 from grab-and-go vending machines, and the furiously-fast Wi-Fi is free. As is the use of the computers, should you not have brought your laptop or tablet. At Moxy smart service and top-notch technology go hand in hand. You can have a meeting in our meeting rooms that have a 56” display for presentations. The rooms are compact, yet spacious, thanks to the clever design and the lack of unnecessary furniture. They are equipped with amenities that will make you look forward to getting dirty. You can drink “from the wall” or ask the bartender to pour you a local spirit of beer. You are in Munich, so enjoy!

I looked at many places (Hilton is usually my go to) but Moxy by Marriott had the best prices and decent reviews. I’m glad I took the chance. It’s definitely a no frills hotel. Don’t expect a sewing kit , coffee maker or toothbrush but the staff is very friendly and eager to help. I didn’t opt for breakfast but they didn’t charge me for the cup of tea either. Room is small but sufficient. No closet space to hang clothes (no iron either) but some hooks and few hangers on the wall. Business travelers may want to know this. I had drinks at the bar and snack food and they were decent. The lobby has plenty of sitting, working, eating space and guests do gather which is nice! Again, I definitely got what I paid for and I don’t mean that in a negative way. I’ve stayed in many 5 star places and left disappointed either with room or service. Here you won’t be disappointed. To get to the city center by taxi it’s about 25 to 30 euros. Train station Riem is about 15 minutes by walking. 3 trains to the airport. Hope this helps!

I love the location, just a little over a block from the central train station. My only real complaint is it was listed as a double bed, but it was 2 twin beds pushed together, so if you sleep in the middle, you fall in a crack and that's not comfortable. Also, I would love to have a coffeepot and hairdryer and maybe some hair conditioner...but for the price, location, and privacy, I still consider this place a big win.

What can you expect from a hotel where in the presentation photos there are only vases, well nothing. I would take away one star from the hotel because it has more than a star, it is more of a hostel than a hotel. Everything was broken or damaged. The breakfast was painful, we had to go buy things to have breakfast since there were four basic things. Soft bread, a little sausage, three different pieces of fruit, water and bad coffee. The rooms did not have a tap in the cold water sink, only boiling water came out, they had curtains instead of screens. The beds had no sheets, bottoms or blankets, just a duvet to put over us. Thank goodness the heating worked well because if it hadn't it would have been even worse. We asked them for some sheets to leave us and they said yes but when we arrived at night they didn't leave us anything. The hotel reception closed at 10 pm and you had to have your own key to enter the building. The women who ran the breakfast buffet were very stupid, they didn't pay attention to you and they just screamed and waved their hands at us to get us to leave their side. The only thing that was good is the location next to the train station and about 10 minutes from the city center. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. When we left our suitcases until the afternoon because our flight didn't leave, they left them at the same reception without being stored in a room like in other hotels.

We were only there for one night so the location opposite the train station was perfect. It was only a short walk to the downtown core (perhaps 1 km) so that was also convenient.
The rooms are small but adequate. We were there on a hot day/night so the lack of air conditioning was noticeable.
The included breakfast was nothing fancy, but it was pretty good.

Very good location with the airport express bus stopping right in front of the hotel. Directly opposite Munich central train station. Next door is a small convenience store. Extremely good value for money with room big enough for 4 beds, many power outlets and all bedsides came with bedside reading lights. Has a desk for traveller who needs to catch up with some work. Toilet is well equipped complete with clean towels, heater, hot water & great shower area.
Wardrobe is large and this is supplemented by an additional hanging rod beside it.
Room had a musty smell when we first entered but this dissipated quickly once we opened the large window to let him fresh (& super cool (cold?) air.
Reception gave us a brand new kettle (packaging intact with all the plastic coverings) and this helps us to eat some instant noodles- we checked in too late to have any decent meal.
Highly recommended to travellers who need an overnight stay to catch a train the next day from Munich central train station.
Our experience is contrary to those who wrote negative reviews.

Facilities: Typical business standards. Breakfast is OK. There are Chinese waiters so you don’t have to worry about English. The sound insulation effect is very good. It only costs ten euros to take a taxi to the passenger terminal. There are cars at the door, which is very convenient.

We stayed here during Oktoberfest and the hotel was full but the only time you would notice was at breakfast. Big kudos to the staff who kept the breakfast area stocked and clean, they deserve a bonus because it was super busy. Breakfast was way better quality than what we get in the U.S. Our room was on the second floor and our view was the train yard. The windows are very good at keeping out the city noise and the hotel is designed well to reduce noise from other patrons. Room was clean except for some stains on the sofa upholstery and desk chair. Not sure why hotels used upholstered furniture that is tough to clean. Shower was good, plenty of hot water. Towels were too thin, they cheaped out on the towels. Location is good. Metro, tram and bus are very close by. Stephanie at the front desk was very helpful at checkout.
The Best Western Hotel The K Munich-Unterfoehring opened its doors in April 2016 just outside Munich.
We are pleased to welcome you in one of our 131 rooms in urban chic style. All rooms are equipped with free W-LAN, tea and coffee station, Sky-TV and flat screen.
The service includes a fitness room. In the evening, guests can relax at the hotel bar or at the AM KRAFTWERK7 rooftop bar, which is open to everyone in fine weather (May - September) and for special events.
The Best Western Hotel The K in the middle of the company and media park Unterföhring offers a very good traffic connection to the Munich city centre, the International Airport Munich, the Allianz Arena and the Munich Trade Fair Centre. With the S-Bahn S8, about ten minutes on foot from the hotel, guests are well connected even without a car.
The centre of Unterföhring is about ten minutes walk from the hotel. In the same building you will also find the externally run restaurant Schroeders, which is usually open from Monday to Friday.

Great hotel. Incredibly friendly staff who have their hearts in the right place. I have rarely felt so comfortable. The rooms are a good size and very modern. The only thing I was missing was a minibar. Great beds. Free breakfast and a good selection. Everything was perfect.

TTraveler 123Let's start with the spa - an oasis of relaxation and rejuvenation. From the moment I stepped into the tranquil haven of the Vier Jahreszeiten Spa, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of serenity and well-being. The spa facilities are impeccable, featuring a range of treatments and therapies that cater to every guest's needs. The expert therapists displayed a deep understanding of their craft, ensuring a customized and revitalizing experience. After indulging in one of their signature massages, I felt completely refreshed and invigorated. The spa's attention to detail and commitment to providing a sanctuary of calmness was truly impressive.
As for the location, Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski is a true gem in the heart of Munich. Situated on the prestigious Maximilianstrasse, it offers an ideal home base for exploring the vibrant city. From the hotel, you can easily reach Munich's iconic attractions, designer boutiques, and renowned dining establishments. The convenience of being able to stroll through the historic city center or simply step outside to admire the beauty of Maximilianstrasse made my stay even more enjoyable. It's a testament to the hotel's commitment to offering guests the best of Munich right at their doorstep.
The overall experience at Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski was nothing short of exceptional. The luxurious accommodations, attentive staff, and attention to detail throughout the property were all factors that contributed to a memorable stay. The blend of classic elegance and modern amenities created an inviting and sophisticated atmosphere, which I found to be both comfortable and inspiring.
In conclusion, Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich is a top-tier hotel that truly understands the art of hospitality. The remarkable spa and the unbeatable location in the heart of Munich set it apart as a destination that caters to travelers seeking a perfect balance of relaxation and exploration. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to experience the best of Munich in a luxurious and welcoming setting.
GGuest UserStill trying to figure out what the catch is because at c. £60 a night this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in, in terms of value for money. It's located north of the centre of Munich (short taxi journey) and around 25 minutes from the airport. Feels very new, modern and welcoming. A big lobby area where a complimentary breakfast is served and there is lots of seating for people who want to sit and do some work. Rooms are clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but more than does the job. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend staying here and will definitely rebook next time I'm in Munich.
GGuest UserWhile the hotel stay was comfortable and the rooms a nice and clean we found the front desk staff rude and unhelpful. From the start they have shown no courtesy, I called up the hotel from the station to inquire about the location and landmark and found the person speaking to me couldnt care less about giving directions. Then when we arrived there, there was no one at the front desk. Since there are two Holiday Inns adjacent to each other we were confused as to which one is ours and kept the cab waiting to check. Finally we had to let the cab go as not one was there to answer our query. After a long wait the lady manning the front desk finally emerged from the cabin and was very rude with us. She couldnt find our reservation, we had to panic call the booking.com customer service and incurred a huge mobile bill for the international call only so that we could confirm our booking. She insisted we had not paid for our rooms and we had to argue and show proof of payment. Any query we had about the hotel amenities or sightseeing were unhelpfully answered. The person who looks after the snacks corner was the only congenial and courteous person. The hotel is within walking distance of a train station and the bus stop is right outside the drive way, There are some good restaurants about 5- 7 minutes walk from the hotel. Lidl is a stones throw away so are a few other grocery stores. Once you get the hang of the place its pretty convenient. The only reason why the rating is average is because the hotel is good and the rooms were comfortable and neat. Otherwise only based on their customer service it would be poor.
GGuest UserStayed here to watch the European Cup. It's very close to the stadium, just a few subway stops away. The check-in staff was very friendly and humorous, chatting with you happily, but they were just that slow. It took 20 minutes to check in, and the parking fee was 17 Euros.
GGuest UserThis hotel was one of the best we have stayed at. We loved the room. Ours came with a little kitchen area. We felt like we were staying in a modern episode of “tiny house”. The lobby area is large and inviting. We were meet by a friendly and accommodating staff who meet all our our needs. Wonderful stay!
白白色的玉石Hear me out: this hotel has THE BEST - meaning most professional - service I have ever encountered in any hotel - and I say it from my experience from staying at 4-5 stars hotels as a general rule.
Regarding service:
- ALWAYS replying to every email (unfortunately letters sometimes land in a spam folder, a little flaw)
- 24/7 there’s always someone at the reception ready to assist (mind it’s not a branded hotel, but a family-owned business), making sure that there aren’t any unsolved problems or unsatisfied needs
- all website-provided informations are up to date
- there’s a shuttle bus from a train station for guests (till 5pm)
- staff is perfectly trained and experienced. There’s never any personal attitude, just a smile and clear communication. Of course speaking well English.
- Bonus: I arrived quite before check-in hours and checked out a bit late too; didn’t have to say a word and no word was said (or called). Even got an advise how to efficiently manage my luggage for my next trip.
Location: a bit far from train & metro stations.
Amenities: a very big swimming pool! And a sauna, and a gym. Downside is that those amenities are in a neighbouring building, so if you’re still wearing your swimming suit, you need to walk on a pedestrian path for two minutes like this. It feels weird. But there are lockets, showers and fresh towels too, if you prefer to change your clothes first.
Concluding: best combination of price, location, fun, and quality.
Had a most enjoyable stay at the Drei Löwen in Munich Location is absolutely excellent at the hauptbanhof with ease of access to all U and S bahn . Great team of staff at reception that were very helpful Raymonda was very professional and helpful in the way she dealt with customers. Ben was exceptional in the way he followed up and dealt with any queries we had Room was lovely and clean. Breakfast each morning was excellent with a great choice particularly the omelet made by the chef to your taste in front of you Overall this is a fantastic hotel as its location lends itself so well to exploring Munich the Marianplatz is just a leisurely walk from it Well done to all at the hotel .
GGuest UserThis hostel is awesome. The staff are really helpful and accommodating. We came a few hours before the check in time (1500 hrs) and we were greeted, checked in and shown somewhere to securely leave our luggage while they prepared our rooms. The room itself (ours was a 10 person) is clean, with clean sheets and a very clean en-suite bathroom/shower. The rooms have air conditioning, however it was very warm at the time of our visit so I think it was struggling. Nonetheless the room felt homely and has a locker to put your valuables/clothes in (like a football locker). The breakfast is a continental breakfast priced at €8. There are many meats and cheeses along with: cereal, bread, fruit, yoghurt, juices, coffee and scrambled eggs. The breakfast is a buffet so you can really make the most of it for €8 per person. The bar area itself is very nicely decorated, and run by very friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend this hostel to everyone. Wether you’re looking to chill out or party this hostel has everything. Would like to say a huge thanks to Kimom and Giorgos in particular. They made our visit extremely fun and provided many suggestions as to where we should go/ avoid. I have no doubts the rest of the staff are the same, but these guys made it extra special. Thanks dudes!
would give a zero if I could. Currently in the reception with nowhere to go, where we've been for well over two and a half hours. Our rooms (which were paid for through ******* in October, and have twice had written confirmation) have been given to other people. The receptionist says he can do nothing without authorisation from the Manager, who won't answer her phone. He's refused to do anything to assist. He is now going to lock up and leave is in reception with nowhere to sleep. Took 15 hours to get here from Heathrow today, and this is how it's ended up. Worst experience in a hotel EVER. Update: Reception found us rooms in a sister hotel at 12:15am. Only 200 hundred yards away, but surely these had been available since we'd arrived in Munich? Room was ok and were still able to have breakfast, which was fine enough. Manager of the Belle Blue was apologetic and gave us a suite for the rest of our stay, which consisted of two bedrooms (one with ensuite), a shower room and lounge with kitchen area. It was sparse but nice. Breakfast each morning was quite good for continental and the staff were friendly and always cleaning. As people have said before, the area isn't the nicest but it's not a big deal. It's not far to the Underground and bus station, and there is a fabulous microbrewery/restaurant next door. I would consider going again.
