"Before coming to Hongcun, I didn't have high expectations, thinking it would just be another old village to visit and leave. However, my stay at 'Hongcun Yike Homestay' made me feel that every detail of this trip radiated warmth. Upon arriving at Hongcun bus station, I was unfamiliar with the area and was stressing about how to drag my luggage across the stone-paved paths to the homestay while looking at a map. The moment I called, the owner's enthusiastic voice immediately put me at ease: 'Wait there, I'll be right over to pick you up!' In less than ten minutes, the owner appeared on an electric scooter, swiftly tied my luggage to the vehicle, and cheerfully motioned for me to hop on. We weaved through Hongcun's winding alleys and past bustling crowds of tourists. The homestay was tucked away in a quiet lane near Moon Pond, an excellent location. You could see Moon Pond just around the corner, yet it was peaceful and quiet – truly an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle. Stepping into the courtyard, I was captivated by this homestay, a renovated Huizhou-style building. The exquisitely carved porch, wooden corridors, and rustic private courtyard exuded the unique elegance and serenity characteristic of Huizhou homes. Inside the room, it was bright and clean. The antique-style wooden bed paired with a soft mattress offered both classic charm and comfort. The night was exceptionally quiet, and I slept soundly. Early the next morning, I opened the window to a beautiful view of the Huizhou-style horse-head walls in the morning light, distant mountains draped in lush greenery, and the nearby sounds of birdsong and fragrant flowers. It truly felt like living inside a traditional Chinese ink wash painting. On the day of my departure, the owner drove me to the bus station as usual, reminding me of other places I hadn't visited in Hongcun along the way. Before saying goodbye, the owner pulled out a packet of chrysanthemum tea from the trunk, handed it to me, and smiled, saying, 'This is our local chrysanthemum tea, take it home and try it.' Holding that packet of tea, my heart felt warm. Staying here truly felt like returning to an old friend's home in Huizhou, thoughtful and considerate in every way. 'Yike Homestay' truly lives up to its name – making one feel 'at ease' (逸) and so content that guests (客) forget to leave. Next time I'm in Hongcun, I'll definitely stay here again."

It's incredibly convenient too; you can walk to the main attractions in just a few minutes, making it easy to capture stunning ancient-style photos. The staff are attentive and thoughtful, always responding promptly to any request with a gentle demeanor, and without any unnecessary interruptions. When visiting Hongcun, I highly recommend this hotel."

"Location: The hotel is situated within the Xidi Scenic Area. Upon check-in, each room receives two complimentary adult tickets to Xidi, with each adult ticket allowing one child to enter for free. The tickets are valid for 3 days, meaning a family of two adults and two children staying here can enjoy free entry to the scenic area. Facilities: The hotel boasts excellent facilities. The bathroom amenities and bedding are of good quality, and the decor has a charming traditional aesthetic. The complimentary items provided, such as the peach wood comb, toiletries, towels, and cotton-linen slippers, are all of high quality. It feels like you're bringing home a lot of lovely souvenirs after just one stay! Service: The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming, always greeting guests with a smile and patiently resolving any issues. Breakfast is quite generous, and in the evenings, they even provide complimentary chilled mung bean soup and Bingfen (a local dessert) when you return to your room. Environment: The hotel is nestled amidst ancient architecture and traditional gardens. Staying here allows you to truly appreciate the distinctive black tiles, white walls, and blue bricks of Huizhou's ancient buildings. I only wish I could have stayed for a few more days!"

"I specifically came to Hongcun to relax and unwind, and choosing this guesthouse was absolutely the right decision. It's tucked away in an old village alley, right in the heart of the scenic area, making it incredibly convenient to get in and out of the park. It's just a short walk to the lakeside viewpoint. What surprised me most was how incredibly clean it was. The rooms, which are renovated from an old house, were spotless. They were well-ventilated, dry, and had no musty odors. Every corner was meticulously tidied, making my stay feel very safe and comfortable."

The air conditioning heated evenly, keeping us warm in winter, and the hot water in the bathroom came quickly, so we didn't have to wait to wash up. The owner even helped us plan a one-day itinerary, avoiding congested routes. Although the room wasn't spacious, the overall experience was smooth and we had no regrets."

"Excellent! Very close to the bus stop, the room was large and clean, breakfast included a selection of your favorite dishes, the restaurant downstairs was delicious, and it was very close to tourist attractions. They even gave us a gift and drove us to the bus stop when we left."

The bedding is soft and cozy, the natural light is fantastic, and the room itself is really spacious, making for a super relaxing stay. The overall atmosphere is very peaceful, not at all like being in a busy scenic area – it’s a wonderful place to slow down and truly rest. The room overlooks a small courtyard filled with flowers and plants, absolutely beautiful and vibrant with spring life. Just a few steps from the back exit, you can reach Moon Pond and the old alleys, making it super convenient for exploring and dining, with a lovely local vibe. The owners are also very warm and welcoming, recommending delicious food and sightseeing routes, and even giving out small gifts. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Hongcun!"

"We felt incredibly fortunate to stay at Danyuan Boutique Inn. The host was very welcoming and took extra care with everything. We had great conversations, and even though we had to use translation apps, we felt like friends after just one day. His wife cooked a wonderful dinner and breakfast for us of local cuisine - it was a unique and authentic experience. "A truly special and satisfying stay. The owners, a husband and wife, were incredibly attentive and welcoming. They picked us up from the station upon arrival and drove us there upon departure. The courtyard was lovely, perfect for families with children. The accommodation was quiet and peaceful. They even provided a free electric scooter for the kids to play happily in the yard. It's a really great guesthouse, suitable for families, groups of friends, or couples. Staying here made me feel right at home."

"Absolutely loved the hotel's design! From the moment you step into the elevator from the parking lot, it feels ancient and charming. As you walk through the corridors and enter the lobby, there's even a fireplace where you can roast mandarins and marshmallows [milk tea emoji]. The entire design blends oriental aesthetics with unique Southern Anhui features like bamboo, tiles, and stone slabs throughout. The only downside is that rooms on the ground floor can get a bit damp, and the air conditioning is a bit loud [facepalm emoji]. Design and functionality are completely fine though, with an indoor onsen, kids' area, gym, and breakfast – all good for a short stay of a few days. However, compared to a true resort hotel, it might fall a little short."
