Fantastic View of Mt Shasta. Great hot tub. Clean ..quiet surroundings...great breakfast.. staff average helpfulness. Charged us extra for weekend rate once card in machine .. bit disappointed as we're not advised... clarify room rates before go.

Swiss Holiday Hotel in Mt Shasta, CA. #1 complaint. I have a support dog for my physical disability. This hotel insisted on charging us $35.00 for him,(which is against the USA Support animal rights site).. They still insisted on charging the rate even when I showed them my support animal registration card. The manager was very rude. The grounds are nice and clean. But that's it! The room smelled like human and animal fecies, the weather was 104 outside, and with the 1960's A/C in the rooms it actually brought the room down to 85 degrees. Discustingly hot in the room. Even my support dog couldn't sleep, as it was so hot. We paid a price of a Marriotts Hotel stay at this place, but the rooms are just like a Motel 6. We had to stay there, as all other motels in Mt Shasta were not available, due to a big Shasta mountain bike ride. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone!

We stayed 3 nights here and enjoyed it so much. We had gorgeous views of Mt Shasta out the window from our pillow and we also enjoyed sitting in one of the outside areas and doing our own Happy Hour there each day with amazing views of Mt Shasta. So many motels in this area have no outdoor area.... The room was very well equipped with microwave, coffeepot, and nice frig with freezer section that was nice for ice packs for coolers. And all of this when they also include breakfast every day. A cold buffet of breads, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, etc etc. We didn't do this but they also have picnic tables and BBQ grills for people who want to do their own dinner right there (with a full shared kitchen available). Bed was very comfy and although the bathroom was small, it had everything needed and a nicely tiled shower. I would definitely stay there again! Relaxing, enjoyable, with nice host family...and the best views to enjoy while relaxing over a glass of wine!

Sorry but this place seemed rundown to me. Very overpriced for a place that seemingly hasn't been renovated since the '70's. Old bedspreads and one of the tiniest bathrooms I've ever seen, with no place to put any toiletries. Others have written about what a friendly, family-run place this is, but an unsmiling, unwelcoming clerk was the only person we had contct with.

Hôtel bien situé proche autoroute mais très calme . Chambre old fashion Mai’s propre et assez spacieuses pour un motel . Les lits étaient confortables . Jolie vue sur le mon Shasta . Petite piscine et jacuzzi qui sont le bienvenus en fin de journée . Seul bémol le petit déjeuner servi jusque 9h seulement .

This is a family run well cared for facility. It's old but you can tell they take great pride in providing you a great stay. I've stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. Being able to see Mt Shasta from the pool or jacuzzi is an added bonus.
