Hotel Indigo MOUNT PLEASANT by IHG

The location is ok as well as the amenities. However, the room was lacking attention on its maintenance (bathroom sink leaking). Some of the staff wasn’t kind and understanding, they were trying to charge for little timings like opening a wine bottle for $15. We had 2 beds, my sheets were changed one day on one and one day on the other I didn’t understand why. They didn’t serve 2 paid breakfasts one because we arrived a minute late and the other because we were leaving too early in the morning. Also on top of the deposit they charged some amenities fees which we weren’t aware of at the time of booking and the price for this fee went up during the stay which felt scammy. In the morning they would drill next door and wake us up we didn’t get much good sleep earlier.

Hotel was nice and updated in the lobby but the room looked dated. Bathroom was very small. Pool area was nice!

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel in Mount Pleasant, Charleston. The facilities were excellent, and I especially enjoyed the gym and pool. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making my visit even more pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a great experience in Charleston.

Location easy among other chains. Hotel Indigo I try to stay ,upper class funky style with local flare.stayed 4 nights no free breakfast only coffee. Great pool area , Restaurant was good. Customer service was prompt at Front desk. Rooms could be larger. Unfortunately ,my only complaint is the rooms weren't thoroughly cleaned daily. Minimum clean up didn't empty trash etc. Good shower flow and bedding comfortable. No balcony. Would return

Very nice hotel with great service and friendly staff. We enjoyed dining there as well. Rooms are clean and cozy

The pool area is very nice. The grounds nicely fenced in. The rooms and air system are on the verge of needing upgrades. My first room had a bad smell coming from the mini fridge and they moved me to a second room where everything was damp.

I actually didn’t stay here. I called needing a last minute reservation- father in law in hospital- and the person was so cold and scripted. She gave me two options and said there could be a third option. When she asked which option I wanted I asked her about the third and she questioned why I didn’t want option 1 or 2 and I said well I want to hear option three. After hearing the options I said I would call back . She baggered me as to why I didn’t choose an option . I told her I had to talk about with my husband . Overall it was not a good interaction and I felt pressured in making a decision. And before she found out I was a ihg traveler she praised me in making my choices to stay at their places. She was reading a script the whole time and there was no customer service. I booked a hotel across the street and got a better deal !

Hotel Indigo Mount Pleasant was such a wonderful surprise for my vacation. From the moment I walked in, the hotel had a fresh, modern, and welcoming vibe. The location couldn’t be better—you’re just minutes away from downtown Charleston, the beaches, and even close enough to enjoy the Christmas parade and fireworks right from the property. My room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. I loved the little details, like the bathroom mirror with a built-in clock and the upgraded outlets that made it easy to charge multiple devices at once. The bed was cozy, and everything about the space felt fresh and relaxing. The food was excellent—healthy, fresh ingredients with a nice variety of options, and the drinks at the bar were mixed just right (not too light-handed or heavy-handed). Around the holidays, the hotel was decorated so charmingly: tiny Santa hats on alligator statues, infused water served in giant Christmas-ornament bowls, and hot cocoa and apple cider stations that made it feel festive and special. The outdoor pool area was another highlight. Even in cooler weather, it was comfortable thanks to heaters, and it had fun games to enjoy. The infinity-style pool was beautiful to look at and made the whole space feel like a little oasis. What really stood out, though, was the staff—they were genuinely kind, attentive, and made me feel cared for. With the combination of style, comfort, and thoughtful details, this hotel truly made my trip special. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the Charleston area.

Staying two-nights here was a mixed experience. On the positive side, the staff were a pleasure to deal with, and the inclusion of free Wi-Fi and parking added great value. The hotel itself, while showing its age, was clean and functional. Unfortunately, the breakfast experience was a significant deterrent. The policy of limiting 'included' breakfast to only two guests—despite the room being booked for three—felt inconsistent and unhospitable, the third guest was treated like an add-on and not an actual guest. Additionally, the rigid restrictions on menu items further detracted from the ‘complimentary experience’. Because of these nickel-and-diming practices, I will be choosing different accommodations for my future visits to Mount Pleasant/Charleston.
