Terrible! 1) Strong obnoxious odor throughout hotel hits you as soon as you walk through the door. 2) Three trips back to desk because room keys did not work. 3) Clerk gave incorrect wi-fi code so a 4th trip back to desk. 4) Hot breakfast food was cold and a clear violation of health dept food temperature requirements.

Great Clean hotel with good breakfast. We would definitely stay here again on our way through ! Friendly staff and great coffee. The shower was also spot on. Lots of tv channels as well. Would highly recommend for the cleanliness and it smells so very fresh in here!!

My wife and I arrived on 11-17-2023 to stay for our Anniversary. We stayed in room 116 because it has a whirlpool tub. When we arrived at the Hotel it took almost 25 minutes to get checked in. There were delays because many rooms still needed to be cleaned. They explained that they were short on housekeepers which I can understand... Still though, we arrived at 6:30 PM. Check out is 11:00 AM so you would think after almost 7 hours past check-out time that the rooms would be cleaned by then... We made reservations online so I was puzzled why the process took so long. The young lady behind the desk looked overwhelmed/confused. When we entered our room it looked very clean at first glance but it was very cold. I was surprised to see that the air conditioner was on and set at 62 degrees. Keep in mind this is November.. This was a small annoyance but we had to wear our jackets until we could get the room warmed up. We noticed there was no remote control for the TV either. When I went into the bathroom, the door would not close very easily. It would stick and I had to apply force with my shoulder to the door to get it pushed close all the way. There was some bottom floor trim missing in one spot in the room also (but no big deal) But the "Over-the-top" moment for me was all the black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom... YUCK!!! I told my wife not to use the bathroom. How does mold get overlooked like this? I am a Choice Hotels member and I always seek them out when I travel but I will have to be very cautious of this one..

Stay at this hotel! This hotel = what you think of with a QUALITY place to stay! We travel often with choice hotels mainly & other brands less all over the country. I was reminded while staying here, the level of standards most have let go to the way side in the hospitality industry. This place has not! Customer service was on point, welcoming to our family, even late in the evening. Everything was Very clean, especially room. Beds extremely comfortable, 4 nice pillows on each bed (not sure when 2 became acceptable) AND they service your room while out, back to original stays…new soaps, sanitized toilets,etc. what a nice way to come back to your room! When I see “hotel under near management” I think, that’s going to be an excuse for what this stay will be like …. Not here! I truly believe they’re making strides to make this place better & I will be looking forward to a stay here. I would book here over a “more expensive” option in town. You can feel the passion for creating an exceptional hotel stay! You won’t be disappointed.

how do you clean a bathroom and leave the bar of soap in the wrapper that someone else used? very gross, there was not a fresh bar in the shower, the water in shower was not very hot more medium heat.. beds were ok, the breakfast in the lobby was very basic, power eggs, bacon, bread. no fresh fruit, no muffins .. not a way to start the day.

The room was clean but some repairs need to be made on this place. The T.V. only worked after it was unplugged and plugged back in and scanned for its satellite for five minutes. The room was comfortable once we got everything up and running but the tile in the bathroom right under the toilet was loose and wobbled when we stepped on it which I'm sure the neighbors downstairs could hear. We sure could hear the neighbors upstairs running between the bed and the bathroom until 11:30PM. Luckily, they seem to have went to sleep after this. There were no towels in the bathroom so had to go downstairs to ask for some. The breakfast was mediocre at best with bacon so thin, you could almost read through it and nothing as far as fresh fruit, cereal or milk. The dining area needed a good cleaning ( the chandeliers had a thick coating of dust on them) and some repairs needed to be made also. No bugs or critters were seen which is a win. I understand that the pandemic made it hard for businesses to make a profit but basic needs of your guest should always be made. That includes a non-wobbly floor, towels and a slice of bacon that Iowa can be proud of.

I work in the local hospital on overnights and the desk clerk didn't honor the early check-in that I had called and requested due to a snowstorm. Or refund my money. I will not recommend this chain ever again and especially not this particular hotel.
