For the most part room was clean. There was no bath mat in the rest room and hair on the walls of the shower. Nice pool and hot tub. Had to go to the front desk because no towels on the shelve. Convenient to soaring eagle ******.

We booked this hotel based on reviews and with an expectation of it meeting the standards of Hampton Inns we have stayed in elsewhere. I am a salesman who travels for business and Hampton Inns have been my go to. Some are better than others, but this place fell way short. After a long day of travel we were greeted by a nice young woman at the front desk. We obtained our key and went up to our assigned room. When we opened the door we were greeted by the stink of human sweat, similar to a High School boys locker room. It was dank and disgusting. We turned around and walked out - straight back to the front desk. We waited in line for a half hour behind a bunch of old biddies trying to get their room situations sorted out. It seems the hotel was sold out and mostly filled with confused old ladies there for a convention. When we got to the front desk, the same woman told us we were lucky and there was only one room left in the entire hotel. Shame on the hotel management for having this kind of sold out occupancy and leaving one person there to handle the mess. We got that key and walked back to the room. We opened the door and it stunk just as bad. They truly have a problem. And by the way, the rooms are poorly furnished, they look tired and far below the worst Hampton Rooms we have ever stayed at. Have a look at the way the bed and pillows looked in the picture below. After a long days travel you want to crawl in to a nice comfy freshly made bed, not one that looks like someone else just crawled out of it. UNACCEPTABLE! My wife's comment "it might not be dirty but it feels like it is". This room was just shy of $200 a night, because it had a fridge and a small sofa. I quickly went online and found a full suite at the nearby Comfort Inn for $155 and after a brief but non contentious dialog with the front desk person, checked out and left. At first she said I would have to speak with her manager on Monday and he might refund my money. I told her if that was the case my first call would be to Hilton Corporate to discuss the pathetically low standards at this property. Then we magically got an instant refund. So ultimately, the brand for me was tarnished by this experience and I now have had a lovely experience at a competitor's property and of course I will consider them in my selections of chain hotels going forward. Less money, for a nice suite, freshly decorated and clean . And by the way, the free breakfast there was great.

Booked this hotel for an event we had at Central Michigan University. Because we were staying for 6 nights, my school set up a contract and pre-paid the rooms so I wouldn't have to use my personal card. However, they charged my card anyway on the 5th day of our stay to the tune of nearly $3500! And while they did immediately reverse the charges and apologized profusely, I found out it will take 2-4 days to get my money back. Meanwhile, I still had meals for students, gas, baggage fees and a rental van to pay for with that card. I had to reach out to friends and family to help us get back and as of this post, the money has still not been restored to my card. This general and catastrophic level of incompetence is why I will NEVER stay at this property again.

would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Mount Pleasant Ples Staff was great throughout. The whole day, room was very clean,. The only reason I’m not giving a five is the room is a little dated but like I said before is very clean.

It was a while since I last stayed here, so I figured I'd give it a try. Unfortunately, some of the downsides I noted a few years ago remain.....most prominent the bed! The bed was, in short, awful, and not the least bit comfortable. The wi-fi also kept disconnecting in the middle of using, which was very frustrating (although the indicator was showing a strong signal). And, one of my pet peeves...the shower-mounted toiletries. I dislike these options, and case in point during this stay; in the middle of her shower, my wife discovered the shampoo dispenser was empty when trying to use. A call and a visit to the front desk took care of that, but that was about 10 minutes longer in the shower than she had planned, or wanted. The complimentary hot breakfast was good, and the location very convenient for all of Mt. Pleasant's attractions and points of interest.

The room was clean and comfortable BUT there were no light-blocking drapes in our room, only sheer curtains that made us feel very exposed. Additionally, there were very bright lights at the level of the 3rd floor that could not be blocked by the curtains. Unfortunately, that would be sufficient to keep me from stopping here next year. Service was friendly and their standard breakfast was fine.

Check in and out was super easy. Breakfast what was expected. Beds were a bit on the harder side. Bed skirts need a good cleaning. Shampoo, conditioner, body was and lotion all came in a pump except hand wash. Ceiling bathroom was peeling.

Stayed in May 2023 for a concert at Soaring Eagle ******. Quick drive to the ******, no shuttle available but front desk can recommend a taxi service that provides a discount (we opted to drive instead). Convenient on-off to 127 N and S, as well as being on 20 to Midland. Close to shopping and dining. Stayed in a 1K room on the 3rd floor. Well appointed with comfortable bed, fridge, microwave, coffee maker and chaise lounge. Only complaint is the new-style Hampton bathroom "barndoor" style door. This offers little to no bathroom privacy, and will be a consideration when booking future stays at Hampton Inns. Breakfast was standard Hampton, with both hot and cold items. Sufficient to start your morning off well. Staff were friendly and helpful. No service issues at all. Please Hampton - change those awful bathroom doors. I enjoy staying at your properties but really dislike this feature.
