Always a great time. Easy to walk to anywhere. Great Lake view. Bars always a good vibe. Only bad thing my girl & I like to sleep in the last night order room service. The tv internet was off this time wouldn’t connect. Besides that always great.

I had a great experience during my business trip. I did not have any disturb. Good restaurant and bar. People were nice. The view to the river is nice. However, it was quite raining these days as my. Isn't was during fall. Meeting rooms are good.

The hotel is very nice, although a little pricey. The breakfast was very good. The biggest drawback is the very long walk to and from the parking deck and there is a $12 additional fee for parking. Access to the interstates ( 68 and 77) is easy. xxxxxxxxxxxxx

We stayed 4 nights at this Marriot, housekeeping only visited our room 1 time and several elements of the room were in disrepair. On the first day of our stay we discovered that the power outlet for the coffee maker didn't work, the toilet paper holder in the bathroom was broken and fell off the wall, and that one of the night stand light bulbs in our room was a flickering / dying fluorescent bulb. We called the front desk and they said they would have maintenance come fix things while we were out. We returned that night and found they had replaced the light bulb but nothing else had been repaired. Housekeeping apparently had taken the dirty towels but not left any clean ones, did not make the bed, did not replace the coffee service items or cups and had left the room in disarray. I once again called the front desk and they sent a person up with towels and coffee / cups. The next day was the same experience, house keeping did not come at all and I had to call down to the front desk for coffee and clean towels. The morning of the third day we found a garbage bag outside the door of the room full of towels with a note on it saying it was from house keeping. The final day of our stay we returned again to find the room had not been serviced. At this point the garbage bins in the room were overflowing (three days worth of garbage) and the dirty towels had again piled up. I bagged up our garbage myself and gathered the dirty towels and put them out in the hall. I called the front desk again feeling pretty fed up, and again someone was sent up (from the front desk staff) with towels and coffee supplies and a $10 food/beverage voucher and said they were "sorry for the inconvenience." The entire time the front desk staff was friendly and professional but nothing was ever repaired and housekeeping completely ignored our room. Two of these four days we even passed the housekeeping cart on our floor in our hall on our way out in the morning, but our room was ignored. Aside from the room itself I have to mention that the swimming pool looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. The water was cloudy and murky looking, and the pool room itself was humid and musty. We've stayed at other Marriots before and never had these types of issues, you'd expect better service especially for the price.

We came to tour the University and stayed a night here. It was a very nice hotel. It was super clean and a great location. I liked how there was a nice walking trail along the back. They upgraded us to a water view room and it was really pretty. I think there was a walkable restaurant nearby, but we did end up driving to a local shopping center for dinner as it had an abundance of choices. The gym was larger than usual for a hotel so my son loved that. The people were extremely service oriented and friendly as well. I am not a big Starbucks person, but if you are they had a full service one (not just a little hotel stand) right in the lobby. I didn't really understand the parking charge because they didn't write down our car info or give us a parking decal and the garage was wide open. So I'm not sure that we couldn't have just driven in and not told them. This was overall a great stay. I don't know that I would have another reason to be in this area - but if you are this is a wonderful choice.

This is a mid/high rise Marriott located at the foot of the hills in downtown Morgantown. If you are familiar with the Marriott brand, it follows the blueprint of some of the more recent renovations for their full service properties--carpet is out, hardwood floors are in. Personally, I like that approach. The rooms on each end of the main corridor appear to be larger than the rest; we had one of those and it was quite spacious. It was well equipped with some seating areas and a desk. If you are looking for lots of freebies like breakfast, don't stay in a full service hotel. There are plenty of mid-tier and budget hotels in Morgantown. This is a nicer property with higher quality materials, and if you want food, you're paying for it; just like every other full service Marriott, Hilton, etc. There is an adjacent parking garage; be warned it is a bit of a haul through the convention center corridor to get to it. (By the way, the convention center isn't renovated, and you can tell what the decor must have been for this Marriott not long ago too). The WVU Downtown Visitor's Center is across the courtyard, and some of the downtown campus buildings are nearby. I didn't try the restaurant, but there is a "real" full service Starbucks in the lobby that we did use. Overall this is a nice property. For my night, the cost was a bit higher than some of the other options, but it was still a fair price for the quality of the hotel.

Way overpriced. Cold/dark/gloomy room. No microwave/ice machine broken/parking terrible/no guest laundry/filthy, cheesy TV remote. Indifferent staff wouldn't pick up phone. For some reason, frig was a wine cooler. I thought it came with a complimentary breakfast: wrong! Cough up $18. Infested with unrepentant yuppies who let their kids run around like a pack of wild gibbons.
