Hotel Alameda Centro Historico

Enjoyed our two night stay primarily because of location. Hotel has some good and not so good points. Breakfast seems to start about 10 minutes each morning. Service is good, however, you have to ask for eggs, etc and there is apparently no menu. Good coffee. Rooms can be noisey, but you are directly on the main square. Only American news channel is CNN. Safety deposit box is difficult to reach if you are under 6 feet or so. Subway and a convenience store are both right next store. No mini-frig. Very clean. I found the staff to be helpful. I could no locate my phone charger and front desk offered a ”loaner”. A/C is my room was located directly above the bed and was loud at time. There may be better options in town?

Hello we arrived on September 11th, 2023 On September 23th, 2023 the hotel is very deteriorated beds the cocktails and old bath towels hard the bed the cocktails of old cocktails the only excellent attention was from our coach the Miss Georgina always friendly and careful to our needs we had a very bad and unpleasant meeting with a guy called Hector a cruel despot character altarero and badly educated among other things he is at the reception we ask the washing service which is paid to be delivered to us the next day which was dirty as we left when we picked up the clothes as we did when we commented on that Hector made us see as if we had not paid and annoying told us that of I'm sure that was another clothes that was told you to check the cameras that at these times I doubt they serve and stripped the sheet we filled when we leave the clothes also told you if they can't wash it here because you return the money and we take it to another place to which it is I was even more annoying to see that with the not grape to solve anything, another lady cared for us who received our clothes and as she said in the service she had it for us the next day and in time in that very bad aspect experience taking into account that it is a chain of hotels we think it will be at the level of other states I don't recommend it better search another hotel where they have a better service
Hotel Boutique Casa Madero
4.3/543 Reviews
I went to visit Morelia for the first time and stayed at Hotel Boutique Casa Madero for two nights. The hotel is elegant, clean and reminiscent to smaller hotels you’d find in New York City. The lobby could use a little bit of an upgrade. It seems like the design is a little uninspired with a simplistic lobby experience. As you check in you will be greeted with a cluttered front patio and an open air front desk. The bell service is excellent and they’ll make sure you’re accommodated even if your room isn’t ready yet. We stayed in a junior suite room located on the first floor, just behind the front desk but tucked away a little bit. The room had high ceilings modern tv and lighting. It’s cozy but it certainly lacked any local design elements. The room was comfortable and smelled great. I believe it was very clean and well maintained. A few drawbacks with the room included lack of warm water in the evening. I’m not sure if the hotel had a low volume hot water system as I know the water would be warm early mornings but this issue was not unique to my room as two other rooms from our party had warm water issues. The cafe inside the hotel was attentive with an impressive kitchen cooking up your favorite local breakfast items. The pan dulces were very limited but the hand made tortillas with fried eggs and delicious salsas made up for it. You can’t go wrong staying in for breakfast. The drip coffee can be skipped as I watched them reheat an existing pot instead of brewing a fresh one. The hotel is walking distance to everything Morelia has to offer. Including the Cathedral, the parks and nearby eateries. My group walked everyday we stayed here. For your convenience there are at least three convenience stores within 3-4 minutes walk from the hotel. There are a handful of local bars with a super cool speakeasy directly across the hotel. Overall, this is a mid-tier value hotel with an attentive and friendly staff. What they lack in design and amenities they make up for with a cleanliness and comfort; which is sometimes all you can ask for as you try to experience what the city has to offer.
