The hotel is good, everything is very clean and the bed is very comfortable, the men at the reception are super friendly, and the hotel is very close to the Puerto market, clean bathrooms and good coffee. I didn't give it 5 stars because firstly the place is very dangerous at night, you can't walk around alone, it's very far from Los Pocitos beach and it's expensive to take Uber to get to the rest of the city, and also because I asked for a day to have breakfast at 7am (half an hour before) because my tour was going to end earlier and the girl at the cafe made a terrible face, she let me go but I felt embarrassed, I liked it but I wouldn't go back to the same hotel because of these details...

El hotel es muy frío. El sistema de calefacción es apenas un split frío/calor que no calienta lo suficiente y en el baño nada. El baño es una heladera. El desayuno es pésimo! Tienen convenio con un estacionamiento que está a 200 mts que es un desastre. Estuvimos 30 minutos para retirar el coche.

Puerto Mercado Hotel (room 106 - single room) Basic room in a good location at the old town, near the ferry and 15min walk to Plaza Independencia. Could pay with bank card during check-in. Good wi-fi. No free water bottles in the room. Didn’t have warm water when showering, the staff said have to wait few minutes but it never became warm for me. Air-condition, refrigerator and hair dryer in the room, but I dont know if they have iron to loan from the reception. Cafés, restaurants and convenience store nearby. My booking didn’t include breakfast and I had to leave before that anyway, so don’t know how it is, I think it cost 8 USD for the breakfast. 40min drive to the airport, cost around 1250 UYU (33 USD) with Uber. Basic hotel but not a 4-star, more like a 2-3 star, but for the price and 1 night its ok. (note: lots of mosquitoes in Montevideo nowadays) See my attached pictures.

An incredible hotel. Very cozy, very well decorated and organized. Impeccably clean, room smelled nice. The staff at the hotel were very attentive, especially Rosana who greeted us when we arrived, gave us instructions and helped us a lot on our first day in Montevideo. We highly recommend it. Excellent value for money.

Ótimo, custo beneficio. Quarto limpo, cama confortável e com bom espaço. Funcionários atenciosos e gentis. Próximo a varias atrações que você pode ir andando ou na rua próxima tem vários ônibus que passam. The hotel is amazing, accommodations are very comfortable, all was very clean. All the staff was very kind! Of course i’ll back soon! Another good point is the breakfast is delicious. Very close to Mercado del Puerto, and have a grocery store next door, have a public bus stop really near. Recommended!!
