Sandals Montego Bay All Inclusive - Couples Only

For the Butler room it was beyond expectations, small, a/c on its last leg, no ventaliation in bathroom caused heat and humidity. We have been to many other Sandals with a butler experience and this by far was the worst. We will not be staying here again.

December 31, 2024 Sandals Resort Manager- Montego Bay RE: Recent Stay December 23, 2024-December 29, 2024 Room #702 Dear Sir/Madame, Thank you providing my husband and I with the perfect 25th wedding anniversary celebration. We enjoyed the resort very much. There was on issue that I literally lost sleep over. Upon visiting the Macaws, I was startled when I saw the condition of their habitat. Upon this discovery I stood by the cage for several minutes and calmly asked the guests if this display added to the enjoyment of the Sandals experience. The most astonishing comment I received was “if I was those birds I would wish for death.” Another guest became outraged, and she immediately went to the front desk to file a complaint. I am not a PETA or animal activist; however, I felt the strong desire to be the voice of these magnificent creatures. The condition of the cage (filthy, too small with sharp nails and objects, no fresh food) A guest assisted me in changing the filthy water as several guests looked on. We were all astonished. With a very sad heart that has literally brought me to tears, I am hopeful that you will reconsider your treatment and habitat for these birds. I would be happy to research sanctuaries or other options for these creatures that deserve so much more that Sandals is providing. I look forward to your response. Happy New Year. Upon arriving I was greeted with welcome home. The wait was very long getting settled in my room but the customer service was polite. My most enjoyable time was had during the evening that was hosted by your entertainment team … Queen Tangerine and Lady J beaches rolled out the red carpet entertainment. Them along with the others were very friendly and engaged with all the guest. I can’t wait to return back…we really enjoyed ourselves.

My fiancee and I just got back from Montego Bay for our first Sandals trip. The property is fantastic- the beach and pools are great and maintained and there were many activities and entertainment options. But, we had some customer service experiences that left a bad taste in our mouth and made us question if we wanted to revisit another property. The staff seemed to fundamentally lack professionalism (e.g., making sexual jokes to each other in front of guests, taking minutes to serve customers and choosing to chat with other staff instead) and service was slow. At restaurants it felt like we were inconveniencing staff to order and we were rarely if ever checked on . Our check in process took over 75 minutes during which we were mostly ignored and left confused. At Butch's, they lost our reservation and asked us to go back to our room to return with our itinerary and PROVE it then made us wait another 45 minutes. No one asked us how the stay was at check out. We were disappointed.

Just returned from Sandals Montego Bay. We are a diamond level member of their loyalty and rewards program having accumulated 105 days staying at a Sandals. Pros: close drive from airport Cons: close to airport. Planes fly so low over resort you can smell engine fumes. They are very loud and that is fine during the day but on some days they randomly fly out late. One flight took off at 11:39 pm and shook us out of bed as we were not expecting that. But in all fairness, that is not the fault of the resort as they can’t help where they are located. These are cons that they should fix. 1 - the piano bar is located in the middle of the resort amongst the hotel rooms. The piano singer sings into a microphone so loud you can’t go to sleep until that is over which is 11 to 11:30 2 - if you do not have a butler, you cannot find a lounge area on the beach with any shade. The butlers reserve all the huts and umbrellas, so you should consider paying for a butler room. And they reserve them so early that you could wake up at 5am to look for a spot and they are all gone 3 - Butch’s restaurant which is their premier restaurant is a nightmare. If you have a reservation do not expect to sit until at least 1 to 1.5 hours later. They tell you to go sit outside at the bar. Unfortunately they are understaffed and the waiters (only 2) have to provide drinks for the restaurant and the other restaurant next door (SOY) as well as all the people with reservations that have to wait 1 to 1.5 hours past their reservation time to be called. Then the inside experience is not much better. I ordered their signature dish (prime rib) medium rare. To make a long story short, i got my meal medium well, was then told that the waiter didn’t explain to me that they don’t cook medium rare. I told them i was ok with medium if that was their starting temperature. They went back in to make it medium. But then they came back out to tell me they had to wait for the chef who had gone somewhere to cut me another cut of prime rib medium. Bt this time my husband was done eating his meal so we walked out. I left with no meal The other issue is the 2 bartenders spent all their time joking with one another and they were not in tune with the guests, ignoring guests that showed up to the point guests had to constantly get up and loudly try and get their attention. Overall just a bad experience 4 - a lot of guests come in groups and it is not really a couples atmosphere rather a party atmosphere with groups of people getting out of control drunk and annoying other guests. 5- if you are looking for a relaxing vacation try another place. This is not it Lastly, we decided to skip the return guest loyalty dinner because we were so upset at what happened at Butch’s and in the end no one cared. No one came to check on us, no one really cared. Their only interest was to constantly stop us in the living room lounge area to get us to book our next trip.
