One night stay in Tuscany, at the Tuscany Inn Hotel. the staff were very friendly and our check in was easy. Our room was one of the biggest we have ever stayed in. And a massive bathroom, all designed to be wheelchair accessible. Comfortable bed and pillows, the bathroom was well appointed. We were let down by the included dinner though, had the vegetarian burger with tomatoes and peas, not overly impressed.

Greatly and centrally located near lots of places to eat, have a drink and visit. Parking outside wasn’t too complicated, just find a spot and pay. When we got there we only found one employee who couldn’t speak English and was a bit difficult to check in but regardless he was very nice, helpful and serviceable. He also helped us with figuring out how the parking worked. Room and bathroom were nice and spacious though the mini fridge didn’t really seemed to work. Other than that I pile stay again if I were in the area.

Quaint hotel with cozy comfort. I am diabetic so breakfast was a challenge. There were many pastries, meats, and fruit. Dining alfresco was lovely. There is a pool, and it seemed dogs were allowed in the rooms. If you are an opera fan on Tuesday evenings in September and October there is a concert at the hotel, 20 euros. They sand the most favorite arias and some Neapolitan songs.

Super location and nice rooms. Unfortunately a lot of coach parties arrived during and stay so it was super busy. I actually caught covid from one of the party who coughed all over me :((
Also when I asked for a towel for poolside I was rudely spoken to. Breakfast nothing special and breakfast room too busy
Would stay again but choose my time

My husband and I spent 2 days at this hotel although we paid for three. We ended up leaving a day early to stay at a nearby hotel with a pool and free breakfast and a view. So the positives of this hotel: - the AC - we were there in July so it was HOT - there is a gym. It’s small and for some reason, the AC was not on the 3 days we used it so it was like a sauna, but there is a gym. - relative close proximity to restaurants and beach. Very walkable. Negatives: - COST. Of everything. We ordered 2 coffees to be delivered to the room. It cost 20 euro. - Breakfast was not included in the cost of the room. - no one explained anything to us when we checked in. No how to get on the wifi, no how to call the front desk, no nothing. The check in was very abrupt. - the room was in the lower level of an adjacent apartment building. And it backed up to the train tracks. Fortunately, the trains are not very loud but still, you can certainly hear them - the pillows and the beds - FLAT. Hard. But in all fairness, I can’t say we had soft mattresses or pillows in any hotel we stayed at this trip. - no view Overall, I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again. It was comfortable and met the basics, but way too pricy for what it was.

As you can see from the photos, the exterior of the building and public areas are grand and delightful. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. But for those who want more of the nitty-gritty read on: Room: We were in room 124, which is a standard room near the elevator. Like most European hotels, the room is considerably small. I appreciated the large armoire, night stands, and drawers so that if one wanted, personal items can be stowed out of sight. I found the bed to be very firm, but have a PranaSleep mattress at home, which is super comfy. I read that the rooms were ”recently” renovated, but ours could have definitely used a touch-up. There was a mark that appeared to have been where someone killed (and smudged) a bug on the wall, and several spots where the walls were scuffed and chipped. Cleanliness: The housekeeping did a sufficient job of cleaning the room, and the dining areas were immaculate. What struck me as odd was the beautiful red carpet on the grand staircase was in need of a vacuum during our entire stay. Minute detail, for sure, but one that struck me as odd. Amenities: Here's where I think they could improve. There is not an iron in each room, however, they will bring one upon request. In my case they asked for it back 24 hours later, which was problematic for me, as all of our clothes needed ironing. I requested an iron four more times before I received another one, three days later. Sadly the one I was given was completely broken. (Good news: I learned to get wrinkles out of clothing by dampening the garment and using a hot hair dryer!) The toiletries were paltry and the bar of hand soap was the size and thickness of a quarter. I am imagining this is done for the sake of conservation, but be aware: if you are the ”DO NOT DISTURB” type, you will need to find housekeeping to stock up daily. The towels and bedding were all stain-free and seemed to be of decent quality. Temperature: We are from upstate NY and the room was very hot for us, even with the AC on the lowest temperature. We stayed in October and ended up sleeping with the windows open. Bathroom: The shower is incredibly small! If you drop your soap you would actually need to step out of the shower to pick it up! No joke! The water pressure is incredible, however, and there was always plenty of hot water. WiFi: Nearly non-existent. I have heard that they are planning to upgrade. Otherwise, you need to sit in the lobby or use the laptop they provide in the front area. Typical to Staff: Most of the staff was professional. We had many pleasant exchanges with a young waiter named Federico. The evening/night staff were not as pleasant and almost seemed bothered that they had to interact with patrons. Food: The breakfast was plentiful and consistent: a table full of breakfast pastries, cold cereal, melons, yogurt, scrambled eggs, muffins, bacon, sausage links, several types of cold cuts and cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes. We ate dinner at the hotel three times and so

I liked this hotel very much. The location suited us, we had a car and used the public free carpark opposite the hotel during our stay. The vibe in the hotel was quite laid back and relaxed, we would have liked a bit more information on check in as we haven't stayed in the area before, however when we asked about anything the staff where more than helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast which had lots of choice, I would have liked more fruit available - fruit salad and omelettes where charged extra, which I thought was unusual as they are normally standard on breakfast buffets. The food we ate at the hotel was very good. The room: All rooms are different, some have baths and some do not, we changed our room on arrival as it had a bath but no sofa in the room, I would advise to be specific on your requirements prior to arrival. The member of staff who dealt with this for us was excellent and took time to show us available rooms. We spent a lot of time relaxing in the room during the day and really benefited from having a sofa. Bathroom was spacious and well equipped, bed large/comfortable, on the 4th floor windows are small but we were at the back of the hotel which was quiet. Bedroom and lounge area separate. I would point out that the room lacked drawers for clothing and I used my suitcase for this during the stay, it also appeared to lack a full length mirror (only mirror above the sink in the bathroom) - adding these items would make the room more comfortable. The area: Montecatini is a very pleasant town with lots of lovely restaurants and interesting places to visit. We went up to Montecatini alto to eat in the evening and worked our way around the restaurants - they are all outstanding, we had some of the best Italian food at Caffè Giusti', so pretty at night and a great atmosphere. If you don't have a car you can get to Montecatini alto by funicular - the views/sunsets are amazing. This was our favourite place for the evening. I would go back to this hotel for the lovely area, pleasant staff and great local restaurants. Spacious well equipped rooms.

Outstanding
Stayed for 10 nights in September. Lovely spacious clean rooms. Wonderful cheerful and helpful staff, especially Barbara who catered for all needs in the kitchen, and always greeted us with a smile in the morning. A big thank you to Carlo who arranged a doctor for my wife who was unwell. A lovely quiet road only a 5 minute walk to the train station. A great base to visit the rest of Tuscany. Definitely worth getting a 3 or 5 day rail pass which saves you a lot of money. Beautiful local walks, and the Funicolare train which takes you to Montecatini Alto is a must. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel
On May 23, 2024 using ******* we reserved (and paid in full) two rooms at Hotel Ercolini & Savi. Our reservations were for Oct. 12-16, 2024. On Oct. 9, 2024 we received an email from Hotel Ercolini “reminding” us of our upcoming stay and a link to check in online. On Oct. 11 the hotel website allowed us to check in for one of the rooms but would not work for the second room. We emailed the hotel and were told it was ok and that it would take an additional 5 minutes when we arrived the next day. We arrived at the hotel late afternoon on Oct. 12. Staff at the reception desk told us the hotel had been overbooked and there were no rooms for us. We were shocked as we had fully paid for the rooms 5 months in advance. We were told that they had reserved two rooms at another hotel that was comparable. We were not given any options. The staff person took us to the other hotel in a van but only spoke to the reception person and left. This hotel was NOT comparable at all. We contacted ******* immediately and after some back and forth with a chatbot and then a “live” person we were told we should have refused to go to the other hotel!! They offered no help. Seriously? We were on a special trip with our friends. We had picked Ercolini & Savi specifically for room sizes, quality, location to the train station, etc. We discovered that there was a festival and regional bicycle race that weekend. We also saw many large tour buses in town. It became clear that we had been bumped from Ercolini &Savi and our fully paid reservations not honored so the hotel could fill the rooms using higher rates than we paid through *******. I cannot recommend this hotel at all. If the hotel does not want to honor ******* bookings they should make that decision and not accept them. Period. As an aside, we checked online the first night and Hotel Ercolini & Savi was, in fact, still accepting reservations for the days we were there at much higher rates, but their website said they were not accepting ******* reservations.
Stayed as part of a group. Reception were welcoming and helpful. Public rooms were well furnished and spotless. Pool area small but well maintained. Rooms were a bit of a mix. Furnished in no particular style. We had aroom 216 a corner room which was huge. Lovely big bathroom The only complaint would be that the bedrooms are very dark. Some of them face a derelict villa which was dismal. Independent travellers should be aware that this hotel caters for several large tour groups at a time which makes it very noisy and congested at times. Whilst the wait staff, like all the employees, are exceptionally hard working and efficient the breakfast offering was very poor. Limited in both choice and quality. I have rated this establishment very good but it really needs to improve breakfast to honestly deserve this.
DDeft21I booked a five night stay here with Tailored Travel. The website of the hotel really raised expectations showing light and airy rooms with beautiful drapes. After paying a hefty single supplement our rooms could not have been more different . The first one I was shown had a tiny skylight with an odd net drape. Im fairly short so couldn't see out. You had to duck under this curtain to walk around the bottom of the bed. No wardrobe just a rod with some hangers. I refused to stay there. The second room offered was in the lower ground floor. The ” French ”door could hardly be opened as there was an electric car charger just outside in the car park. The bathroom was tiny and narrow. I measured it and it was approximately two A4 sheets wide. Anyone over 5foot 3 would have hit their knees on the towel rail using the loo or bidet.. Other single rooms for solo occupancy were equally as poor. Either no chair, no dressing table unit no proper window etc just an unpleasant place to stay. Beds are rock hard. Totally unacceptable accommodation for a hotel purporting to be 4star. The website shows a kettle with cups and one assumes coffee and tea would be provided as is the norm on a hospitality tray . When we queried where the coffee and tea was we were told coffee was available from a vending machine on the first floor ! However this wasn't sachets etc but actual coffee. Why provide a kettle but nothing to use with it ? Food for the party was very average. Maybe the al la carte was better. Most of the waiting staff were off hand. Once when I asked the waitress for something it was almost slapped down in front of me . One waiter only actually used to smile at us when we walked into the restaurant and was helpful and friendly. I wish I had found out his name . We did not feel very welcome. Amazingly on our last night the waiting staff became very attentive and we then noticed the tip envelope on our table. Pity they hadn't been like it all the way through our stay. There seems to be mention of a spa but this was shut and looked like it had been for a long time. Maybe if you book this as an individual you might have a better stay. If you're travelling with a party and also paying a single supplement AVOID. Maybe other nationalities had better luck and Hotel Tettuccio ( I won't use Grand it isnt ) thought because we were English we wouldn't complain . WRONG.
Just home 5 nights at this hotel lovely staff and food spotless clean fresh towel each day lasts night was a themed night in the restaurant great food ,staff friendly and helpful continental breakfast but plenty of choice, 5 minutes walk to town centre and railway station
GGuest UserJust returned from a three night trip, this hotel was amazing and what we wanted, it’s in the centre not far from the cable car and close to the train station we visited Luca and Florence during our stay, the staff are what make this hotel so very friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble. Ricardo took time each day to advise on times of trains restaurant choices and guided us on what todo with our short stay. Gabriele was amazing too very helpful and arranged our shuttle transfer prior our arrival, the room attendant was also lovely and attended the room always leaving lots of clean towels and the room very clean this hotel made our stay, thank you Ricardo for all your help and We would definitely return
We had a very enjoyable week in this rather grand and classically Italian hotel, which is well placed for access to the town centre and maybe a couple of kilometres from the furnicular to visit Montecatini Alto. Our room was large, comfortable, immaculately clean, loads of storage and extra pillows and blankets available in the room which saved having to ask for them if required. We had a fourth floor street facing room, with rooftop and mountain views. There was some road noise, but not enough to spoil our stay. Food was adequate and service was a little chaotic on occasion.
