The ventilation window of the bathroom is directly connected to the outside. When the light is turned on at night, mosquitoes will fly in and small geckos will crawl in. The room may have a smell because it is too humid. However, the hotel service is very good. We went to Safari the next morning because the off-road vehicle was stuck in a mud pit and delayed time. We returned to the hotel late. The hotel also called to ask if we needed to save our breakfast.

When we arrived it looked like a great hotel and when we were allocated a lovely spacious room we very much looked forward to our stay there. After having enjoyed a quick dip in the swimming pool before getting ready for evening dinner, it is sad to report that the food was disappointingly poor with a lack of choice and cold food. We've stayed at several hotels whilst touring Sri Lanka and the food at some has been stunning but sadly the food in this hotel was definitely the worst @

I will start this with the positives, we had a spacious room with a great view, the hotel is close to the elephant transit centre and the pool table is free to use. That’s it. The hotel is very dated and in need of some serious upgrades, parts of it look completely derelict, that can be accepted and probably wouldn’t been an issue if you didn’t find ants crawling in your bed. The staff make a hotel, unfortunately at this hotel the staff were extremely overbearing and absolute pros and making you feel uncomfortable. The choice of food on offer is abysmal and what is there is cold and covered in flies, it seems the staff are aware of the issues but rather than improving the food choices and hygiene standards they instead are all over you to the point that you feel uncomfortable even being in the restaurant. We only stayed one night thankfully and at breakfast after finding ants running around in the bread I was offered an alternative meal, to which I accepted and this would have been fine if the staff didn’t then linger around your table and try secretly record you without your knowledge!! To sum up make sure you pack plenty of snacks before staying here or plan to go elsewhere for meals.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit tollem Blick auf den See, toller pool, sehr schöne uns geräumige Zimmer, Essen war ganz gut, leider aufgrund einer Hochzeit im Hotel etwas eingeschränkt, dafür dürften wir der Zeremonie zuschauen. Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Two stars for the friendly staff and the clean rooms. Unfortunately, the food was the worst on my trip to Sri Lanka. This was not due to the chef, but to the very poor quality and the small selection. After criticism, managers treat you unkindly. But this is exactly where the problem lies. I would recommend other hotels in the area.

Très bel endroit, personnel souriant et gentils, chambre spacieuse, très propre, nourriture correct (on a pas eu de buffet car on était très peu de touristes). Mais par contre, il y avait 2 mariages et ça c'est les 3 étoiles ! Ultra bruyant jusque 1h30 du matin ( on avait l impression que le DJ était dans notre chambre!) et quant on fait un circuit on est un peu fatigué. C est vraiment dommage car c'est vraiment un très bel endroit!

A great hotel right next to the national park, very large rooms with a great view over the national park. When we were there there were hardly any other guests there - just great. The buffet in the evening was unfortunately not so good and only inside (food was always cold). Pool and view were awesome.

Wir haben einen Nachmittag und eine Nacht im Centauria Wild verbracht und fanden es sehr gut: Die Nähe zum Nationalpark. Das durchweg freundliche Personal. Das grosse, saubere Zimmer. Den Pool mit ausreichender Anzahl Liegen. Die Bar mit TV, Pool und Schachbrett. Das Abendbuffet. Alles prima. Kleinen Abzug würden wir für das verwaiste (aber begehbare) Rooftop und die Wartehallenatmosphäre im Restaurant geben. (Wir hatten für einen Lunchsnack schon im Restaurant Platz genommen und bestellt - haben uns dann aber das Essen aufs Zimmer kommen lassen, was überhaupt gar kein Problem war). Also insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden wieder hier buchen.

A beautiful hotel. Very clean. Decent buffet. Be careful because most dishes are very spicy. More than average in Sri Lanka. A place from which you can go on a safari. The place is very beautiful. Don't hesitate to go up to the roof terrace for the breathtaking view of the lake!
