Sea Turtle House Moalboal
3.5/54 Reviews
Suitable for people who like to be quiet, go out and snorkel in a few steps, if you are lucky, you can see turtles. Eating out is not very convenient, you can eat at their home, choose Filipino meals, it is not bad, the price is also appropriate. But because it is in the country, there are all kinds of strange animal sounds. If you sleep light, it is estimated that sleep will have an effect. The overall feeling is worth living.

The hotel is suitable for a relaxing vacation! If you go diving, you can live directly in the dive shop. Generally, accommodation is provided. Although the place is relatively simple and remote, the overall environment is still very clean, and the locals are very friendly and kind!
Turtle Bay Dive Resort

We enjoyed our stay and diving at Turtle Bay Dive Resort very much. Although it was fully booked during our stay, we didn’t feel crowded, and no services were compromised. All the staff were helpful and friendly. For example, Dennis, the instructor, happened to guide all of our dives, and the manager took care of details before we even asked. It's worth paying extra to get away from the noise and crowds. The ocean view, fresh air, tranquility, good services, and convenience of diving made our trip much more remarkable. We've been diving in the Philippines for over a decade in several spots. It's our second time in Moalboal. Turtle Bay Dive Resort and Moalboal are at the top of our list. Thank you!

At a first glance hotel was pleasant, decorated nicely & clean. However no hot water on the first day we asked for someone to check it whom he said it’s broken, maintenance will be in tomorrow to fix it. 4 days later still nobody has fixed the shower and we’re still having cold showers. Room hasn’t been cleaned in that time either although stated it would be every other, no clean towels, no toilet roll, no water to drink (even if paid for) Tours are extremely expensive through this hotel so advise to to research elsewhere for cheaper options. Building works going on which blew dust into the room and covering our clothes/bags & bed. Screaming little kids with no respect for other guests outside the bedroom window at 6am after politely asking them to move along and be quieter they stayed and continued to shout. Buffet breakfast is gone unless you get there before start time (7am) and limited food allowed - don’t eat the pancakes either couldn’t be rawer if the chef tried. Wifi non existent on 3rd floor, Only positive is the pillows were comfy.
Indino Guest House 2&5
4.3/513 Reviews
I am a solo traveller and I have booked Indino Guest house several times, specially during the pandemic and I have loved the place ever since. However, my last booking was not that pleasant. I reserved a room for one night (Friday night), once I got there I told them that I might extend for one or two more nights to which the resort staff assured me that I just need to inform them. It was a big room with two big beds. I was happy to get that room. Saturday came and I was asked to move to another room because another guest will occupy the current room I'm staying at. It was no issue to me, so I moved in with all my stuff to that new room. What surprised me was the fact that I heard the resort owner complaining to his staff why they transferred me to room 4 when I'm just a lone traveller. Room 4 has one big bed and one double deck bed. Saturday was a hot day and it's brownout (no electricity). I went out to eat breakfast when suddenly the resort staff told me that room 4 where they transferred me is also not available due to prior booking which they failed to mark in their calendar. I was dismayed and disappointed. They told me that there's no more available room in their guest house. I asked if they can help me find a room from the same Indino compound but they didnt even bother to help. They made me feel unwanted. I was frustrated in the situation plus the fact that there's no electricity and the weather is too perfectly hot. I was checking Agoda for available rooms in the area when the resort owner told me that they have this tiny but newly renovated room available but they doubt if i'd take it. I was happy to hear this. I checked the room and it was really small. It was able to accommodate one single bed with a little space to move from bed to shower. It was like a maid's quarter or smaller. The AC did not function well. It can get rid of the heat but it never was cold enough to satisfy me. I only learned this later that day because there was no electricity to test it. It was not a good room but I still accepted the offer because I was too tired to look for another room in that hot day. I paid 2/3's of my last night's rent in this tiny room but the size is like 1/3 of that room. It would have been a great stay if they were more helpful in securing my comfort. The room's rate was never an issue for me anyway. Verdict: I DO NOT RECOMMEND INDINO GUESTHOUSE FOR SOLO TRAVELLERS.
Tipolo Beach Resort

The staff are very welcoming and friendly. With a beach for snorkelling and seeing turtles along the shore and star gazing at night time. Comfortably cottages too and their food is better than any other restaurant nearby.
