Toyoko Inn Fujisan Mishima-eki ★★★
"free breakfast was great!"
Fujisan Mishima Tokyu Hotel ★★★★
"Facilities: Excellent Cleanliness: Very clean Environment: You can see Mount Fuji Service: Incredibly warm and welcoming ❤️ You can see Mount Fuji on a clear day, and the night view is also beautiful. The hot spring was very comfortable, and for breakfast, you can try many local specialties. The dried horse mackerel was incredibly delicious! 😜"
Hotel Kanraku Mishima Odori (Formerly: Hotel Select Inn Mishima) [Rebrand Opening: July 6, 2026] ★★
"It's located near Mishima Taisha Shrine, and you can see Mount Fuji from the corridor. A twin room for two cost less than 10,000 yen, which was great."
Dormy Inn Mishima ★★★
"Let's start with the downsides: The room was tiny, and the shower equally cramped. At 185cm, I found it impossible to bend over comfortably. The 1.4-meter double bed was also minuscule; it was far too cramped for a family of three. I'd strongly suggest the hotel rethink allowing two adults and one child in a single room! We had to pay an additional 3,000 JPY cash per night for our 8-year-old upon arrival, which essentially only covered some basic toiletries. It felt like a hefty charge just to be squeezed into a tiny space. I urge everyone to consider this carefully before booking. I also ran into the issue with navigating Mishima Station that previous reviews mentioned. I've included a screenshot of a GPT-generated solution for reference. Personally, I found the situation quite illogical! This seems like a straightforward system issue that should be easily fixable. Right outside the hotel, there's a bus stop for the Mt. Fuji climbing route. Be sure to check the return times, as the bus fare is quite pricey compared to JR train tickets. We went up the mountain in the morning under bright sunshine and pleasant weather. However, by the afternoon, it suddenly turned foggy, rainy, and windy, making it incredibly damp and cold. Definitely bring a jacket; the weather is highly unpredictable. On a side note, I have to commend the bus driver – they were incredibly skilled, driving quite fast even on mountain roads that were slick/covered! Very impressive. Our stay happened to coincide with a Japanese national holiday and the Mishima Grand Festival, a major event for the city. Mishima was incredibly lively and bustling. There were many Japanese families with young children staying at the hotel, which suggests it's a popular choice among locals. Ramen is served from 9:30 PM – it's basically freshly prepared instant ramen, haha. The broth was a little salty, but it tasted good, and you could ask for seconds if you wanted. Unfortunately, I cut my leg this trip and wasn't able to try out the 12th-floor onsen. I heard they offer popsicles in the evening and Yakult in the morning there. I'd still consider staying here on my next visit to Mishima, hoping to experience the onsen then."
Hotel Gee Haive ★★★
"Perfect hotel and city for solo travellers trying to transit between places in Japan!!!!! The room and shared shower room is super clean. Many amenities are available. Staff is so kind and helpful. Brekky is simple and yummy. Laundry is free! And the city is also so peaceful yet has so much to offer! Love it!!!"
Hotel Showmeikan ★★
"I had a comfortable stay!"
Ryokan Sangetsu ★★
"Ideal for single occupancy. There are small bicycles and simple scooters available right outside. Good ramen shops are nearby. A place to relax and unwind near Mount Fuji."
Guest House Giwa ★★★
"That's great!"
Hotel Massimo Mishima ★★★
"It was very good"
