Best Mirissa Spa Hotels

Close to the big beach, the swimming pool in front of the building, the breakfast and dinner buffet is rich, the reception is good. The room on the first floor had a musty smell, and the room management leader said that it was a good room for the second floor. The manager of the room management department is very good, responsive, and responsible than the front desk leader, the front desk leader will only emphasize that there is no room, it has been booked for several weeks, and no room change!

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. The gardens are so beautiful and well maintained and the pool is outstanding and suitable for kids and adults. It is located away from the main beach (but not a long walk at all) and is also a great spot to stay if you want to be near Secret Beach (less than 5 mins by tuk-tuk, or walk-able if you can climb the steep hill). It really is a lovely spot to get away from the over-touristy parts of Mirissa and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

This hotel is next to the beach of mirissa. The owner is a female Canadian. There are 4 villas in total. The 8 rooms are very modern. There is a large area where you can have tea and coffee. The swimming pool is also very good. It has its own piece. The beach is great. The breakfast in the morning was also delicious and the experience was great.

It is very close to the beach and you will cross the road. The room is clean and spacious, and the bathroom facilities are convenient and practical. There is a swimming pool in the hotel yard, it is very good to sunbathe and swim. Need to be reminded that all hotels, including the five-star hotels that later lived in Colombo, do not provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, and slippers, so you need to prepare yourself. In the room view, it is very convenient to go swimming, surfing and walking at the beach. It’s great to climb the rocks in the evening to watch the sunset, watch the waves, watch the sorghum fisherman fishing, and watch the surf! Walking on the beach, many home stalls, lit candles, music is very romantic, and the price is not high. The hotel room is good, the decoration is basically over, it is estimated that there will be an elevator soon, no need to carry the luggage to climb the building. We booked half-dinner, dinner can be ordered according to the meal, there are local flavors, there are whole grilled fish, the variety of each meal is not the same; the prawns, squid, fish pieces in the seafood rice, I think it is delicious. It’s three in the morning and six in one day. It’s all packed up for breakfast. It’s not like having a hotel in China that can’t catch up with breakfast, no matter what. At dinner, because a student group in the United States had more guests and more requests, and delayed giving us a dish, I especially expressed my regret and gave it to the local refrigerator. When paying, there are indeed problems with other friends saying that the credit card machine is slow, can't brush the US dollar, can only be converted automatically after the payment of the rupee, if the cash is enough I think they are willing to settle in US dollars, you know. It is very close to the bus station, because it is a pure self-service tour, which is very important to us. There are fruit stalls, resident supermarkets, restaurants (including Chinese restaurants) about five minutes walk. The overall feeling is good, I recommend.

We were lucky to have booked this little hotel for a whole week at the end of our trip. This gave us the chance to enjoy everything. We had a generous room and the pool was long enough to really swim. The kitchen was great! The cook (one of the owners) is native Singhalese and worked in Belgium before, with outstanding results! And don't forget to test the bar, if you are there! The hotel sits right on the beach (sand and rocks). To swim in the Indian Ocean, you should walk a bit, but you might miss peacocks, a mungo, turtles, crabs, fish and the wonderful sound of breaking waves right in front of your room... ;-). Coming to the best part... we were used to very good service on Sri Lanka, but staff and the owners of the villa were really so attentive and friendly as if they knew us for a long time. My wife had her birthday when we were there and we (owners, staff and me) managed for some surprises on that day, including a chorus of all(!) staff. :-) Great place, will return for sure.

Bit of a mixed bag with this hotel. We had a lovely big room with AC and fan but on the first evening a massive storm caused one wall to leak badly, they quickly moved us to another room but it wasn't as big or as well finished as the other had been, although it was the same price. Breakfast was a simple but tasty fried egg and toast but if you ask he does an amazing omlette. The biggest downside was the noise from upstairs building work, it started about 7:30 each morning and was heard as late as 8:30pm The manager did say this was the last day of building work. Also watch his exchange rate when paying as what he tried to charge us didn't relate to any Sri Lankan / Bank rates. Nice location.
