The three-story limestone building was built in the 1850s as a warehouse to serve the burgeoning lead-mining industry in a Wisconsin not quite yet even a state. Eventually somebody had the combination of faith and passion to turn it into an inn, with a bar and restaurant on the first floor and about ten hotel rooms on the two floors above. It is a fine base to explore the region from and it would be a great place to get snowed in! The rooms are elegantly appointed with sturdy antique furnishings and each has a gas fireplace and a hot tub big enough for two. The restaurant serves tasty food and the bar is convivial, especially when the owner, Mike, a retired lawyer, is behind it.

This is a fantastic place to stay for a few days or longer as you explore historical Mineral Point. It's so much better than the run-of-the-mill, impersonal big chain hotels. The rooms are very well appointed with attention to detail like you would see in a fancy 5 star hotel, and very comfortable, real furniture. Here you feel like a real guest, almost a friend or relative by the owner and staff. So refreshing. The owner lives there and interacts with guests in the brewery and outside on the streets walking his very friendly dog. Very friendly bartenders and I liked their house craft brews like the stout. The food was ok. (I highly recommend the pizza across the street; fantastic!) The brewery is only open limited hours, but perfect a place to hang out after a day of exploring. So wonderful to live as a "guest in history". Includes breakfast, but just continental. Couple downsides are the long steps carrying luggage up to the third floor (where we were), but worth the effort. Also the big dump trucks make a lot of noise outside the west windows fairly early in the morning, but it adds to the authenticity of being in a busy small town brewery hotel. Just making you aware.

Super cool rooms that were spotless, and provided everything you could need. We had a blast playing trivia at the attached brewery over a delicious dinner. Really appreciated the gluten free options on the menu to accommodate a food allergy. Check in and out was a breeze. Would highly recommend to any couple wanting a weekend get away!

We came to the Inn for an impromptu getaway, and our experience was outstanding from start to finish. Mike met us in the brewpub when we arrived and showed us to our room while also sharing info on the inn. Our room (#6, top floor) was perfection. Clean, spacious, modern but still very homey. The linens were pristine, towels thick and new, and the toiletries in the bathroom were awesome. We ended up eating dinner at the brewpub, and highly recommend the cheese curds. The staff were all extremely helpful and courteous, and we felt comfortable and content the whole time. For being an old building, the room was surprisingly quiet. Between the large tub, fireplace, and complementary macaroons, it was absolutely the perfect spot for our time away. We are already making plans to return in the summer so we can really enjoy the area.

Overall great place to stay. The room was clean and cozy. We were not lacking for any amenities. Mini fridge, toiletries and in-room coffee were excellent. Breakfast in the breakfast room was perfect. Bagels, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, coffee and a vast selection of tea. The added little touches like bags of ice and ice cream sandwiches were an added bonus. The hotel is about 20 minutes from Spring Green, where the Taliesen house is located. There’s an excellent brewery in the lower level of the hotel that has a great pub menu. Mineral point has a handful of restaurants. We tried a brick oven pizza place that was within walking distance of the hotel. Mike is an excellent host! Can’t wait to venture back here for a few nights.

Commerce Street Brewery Hotel is a gem. The historic building is beautiful. The pub/brewery serves excellent food and beer. You'll be surprised at the luxury touches in guest rooms of this wonderful and historic building turned hotel/brewpub. The surrounding town and region is unique and very special. My only regret is that we only had one night there. I plan to return for a long weekend or more.

We were pleasantly surprised at what a wonderful accommodation this was and the level of detail Mike has put in to ensure our room and stay was fantastic. The room was spacious, VERY clean, nice towels and bedding. I’ve been to many hotels where I’ve been worried about taking my shoes off because carpeting looked sketchy but not here - the carpet was new or extremely clean. The room had a mini fridge and coffee maker which we always appreciate while traveling. We also loved the macarons that were left in our room for a little treat. If in the area again we will DEFINITELY stay here!

My husband and I stayed on a Friday night in early June. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would definitely repeat this unique experience! We were emailed great check-in instructions, so we knew what to expect. We arrived at about 6 pm. There is ample off-street parking and check-in was a breeze. We were shown to our room and then went back down to the charming pub for dinner right away. Unfortunately, we just missed out on the Fish Fry, but the food and house brews were very good. The Korean Beef Tacos and Nashville Chicken Sliders were excellent! Please note the food portions are more small plate, so if you have a big appetite, order a couple of dishes to share or add a side of awesome fries. I believe the pub hours are a little shorter on Fridays, but they did stay open until a little after 8pm that night. Room 1 itself was clean and lovely--as pictured on the website. It's quite roomy and we loved the historic character. The bed was comfy and we didn't notice any bothersome noise overnight. Breakfast was such a splendid surprise in the morning. I don't remember everything available, but there was quite a bit of variety and excellent coffee along with a selection of teas. Bagels, fruit, juices, cereals, hard boiled eggs... and delicious, fresh cheese pastries that were such a treat! I believe they source as much locally as possible. We had plans the next day and the morning was a bit rainy, otherwise I would have loved to have wandered around Mineral Point before we left. All in all, we enjoyed our short stay and would repeat the experience!
