Kyukamura Minami-Izu

From Izukyu-Shimoda Station, the last stop of the limited express Odoriko from Tokyo, take a bus bound for Irozaki and get off at the "Kyuka Mura" bus stop for about 25 minutes to reach this beach resort overlooking Yumigahama Beach. Check-in starts at 3 p.m., but you can check in before then and leave your luggage at the front desk if necessary. Welcome drinks are served in the lobby until around 5 p.m., and dinner is served in two parts, from 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., and it was crowded with many guests even on weekdays. Both dinner and breakfast are buffet style and there is a wide variety of food, and the Shimoda specialty, grilled turban shell, simmered golden-eyed snapper, and nigiri sushi, were particularly delicious. The hot spring has a large bath and an open-air bath, and both have spacious baths that are not too hot, so you can relax and soothe your fatigue. The rooms are 10 tatami Japanese-style rooms, and the staff will come to lay out your futon in time for dinner (or you can tell the front desk in advance that you will lay out your futon yourself). There is a balcony where you can hang out your laundry, but there is a notice not to open the window because insects may get in. Wherever you go at a vacation village, the staff are attentive to your needs, and I would like to stay at vacation villages in Minamiizu and other locations.

I chose this facility because it was close to the sea. I have stayed at Kyuka Mura a few times, but this was my first time in Minami Izu. At the buffet, I enjoyed dishes typical of Minami Izu, such as golden-eyed snapper sashimi and grilled turban shells. There was a wide selection and I was very satisfied. The room I stayed in did not have a bath, but I was able to use the large communal bath, so I had no complaints. I also enjoyed the walking event guided by the staff. Minami Izu offers magnificent views. I think I'll be hooked.

値段の割に広い部屋で、ゆったりしています。部屋のあちこちにコンセントがあるので探すのに苦労しません。USBのコンセントも枕元に二つあります。スマフォだけなら十分ですね。夕食も朝食もブッフェです。特別料理を頼むこともできますが、ブッフェで十分です。白ごはんが美味しいです。もしディナーにマグロの兜煮が出ていたら、ぜひ試してみてください。正体がわからないので、手を出す客が少ないですが、美味しいです。魚臭さもありません。滅多にお目にかかれるものではないので、ぜひ試して見て。

弓ヶ浜目の前のいい立地です。バス停も目の前で車でなくても安心です。プールも大きいので夏にまた訪れたいホテルです。
