However, the facilities were old and the carpets in the hallways were stained... The yukata smelt bad. The food was also delicious... I felt it was below the price for a ryokan with such a name. The main reason for the low rating was dissatisfaction with the service of the elderly person at the front desk. Maybe he was in a higher position? Even though there were customers, the young staff were chatting away at the front desk, and he joined in the conversation without paying any attention... I thought that this was where the lack of true hospitality came from. However, the service of the shuttle staff on the way back left me in a good mood.

The rooms are small but Japanese-style with an open-air bath, and it's nice to have a bath in the room. I went in there many times while looking at the sea in the morning. The large public bath is also nice, and when you immerse yourself in the open-air bath up to your shoulders, it feels like you're connected to the sea. The food is also Chiba, as you'd expect, with delicious seafood and breakfast, especially the dried salmon and horse mackerel. It's an old-fashioned hotel, but I can see why it has such good reviews.

I think that the evaluation will be divided depending on the room and plan. I stayed at Shinmisaki with an open-air bath. A type in which a private bath is placed on the veranda. The washing area is outside, so it's really warm in winter. I chose it because I didn't want to go to a large public bath or a private bath due to the coronavirus, so at this point I thought I made a bit of a mistake. The bath is also a circulation type, not a free-flowing bath. The bath does not have a reheating function, so please add normal hot water when it cools down. I could see the sunrise very clearly from my room. I had Funamori for the meal, but compared to the Funamori at the hotel I stayed at just before, it lacked freshness. It is said that they are purchasing good materials, but if that is the case, then either the knives are not properly maintained, or Mr. Ita's skills are lacking. The other dishes and the buffet aren't bad, but why is it rated so highly? I tilted my head. There were so many private room plans that I couldn't choose, so when I asked about the dining venue, they said that the tables were spaced apart, but that wasn't the case, and there were many families, so I couldn't enjoy my meal calmly. . It might have been different if I chose the gourmand course in a special room.
