2nd stay at micasa after a 1st try in Sept 2023. Decided to come back in December, hoping to also try winter canyoning at Canyons, but not enough snow to do so. Anyway, the stay at Micasa was comfortable, warm, cosy and surprisingly the both meals were very good.
I will come back next time and book the room with its own onsen tub. Can't wait for winter to be back again.
Service is very good here.

The hotel size is not big, but staffs are friendly and helpful. Wonderful dinner and breakfast set provided. Recommend this hotel for travelers who are looking for hotel value for money. Ozen is also available here.

The is traditional Japanese hotel in Minakami. It's small town in Gunma. Room is large with river view is amazing. Onsen is very good. Private onsen is also provided with some fee. Dinner was Kaiseki sytle which is great. Waitess provided the information about each dish. Breakfast was served in the same table. It's set menu which is very good as well. Staffs are great, kind and helpful

Nice friendly ryokan and not no big. Perfect if you looking for something not to big and not to small. Friendly staff and helpful. We had a twofuton room which was very good, spacious and private bathroom and toilet. The ryokan also had the option for couples to book their private bath. Otherwise the baths were separate. Parking was included

A ryokan hotel that brings you back many decades with their decor service and tatami rooms. Entrance is emboldened by a Micasa curtain and you walk into a veritable museum of beautiful kimonos in the lobby. Each area is well displayed. Free coffee and car park.

Our last stay in the area was in this Japanese style ryokan/hotel for one night only. It was wonderful in every way. The friendly and helpful native Australian -English speaker on staff was a bonus. Would definitely stay here again, but for longer.

The interior has been renovated and is beautiful, and it is a family-run inn where you can enjoy hot springs. Unlike the yukata, the samue is unique and comfortable to wear. The craft beer on the water, Oct One, is offered at a lower price than the bottled beer of major manufacturers, and you can tell that they are trying to get many people to taste the local beer.
