Pros: clean room, did not hear people in the next room, plenty of parking, hot breakfast food OK. Makeup wipes in room. I was impressed with the fact that they had soy milk and Chobani yogurt. Acceptable nightly rate using Hilton points. Cons: very firm mattress… even my husband thought so, and he’s much more forgiving than I am about firm mattresses. Handicap room #123 had been smoked in and there was an attempt to cover it up with perfumed cleaning product. It was not properly cleaned. This happened to us at the Doubletree in Bay City as well. The cut fruit at the breakfast was three days past its prime. We use the digital check in on the app and digital room key. It worked just fine, but I felt very strange not checking in and out at the front desk. It was an option, not required. Overall, I would not stay here again, simply because of the beds.

My husband and I take an annual trip.to Frankenmuth, Mich around Christmas time each year. We usually spend a fortune to stay in the town of Frankenmuth. We decided to stay outside of Frankenmuth and found the Springhill Suites in Saginaw, MI, about 20 min. from our destination.
We were so pleasantly surprised by tbe accommodations. The suite was beautiful, comfortable and very clean. The staff was so helpful and friendly - even after locking ourselves out of our room twice. They were attentive and even offered restraunt suggestions. Tbe breakfast offered a great selection - sausage, rggs, waffles, juice, cereal, pastries etc. In addition, the hotel overall abd lobby was clean and very pretty.
The only issue, which is minimal, was the pool size. It was a bit small. However, the hot tub was large and very relaxing.
The price we paid for a 2 night stay in a beautiful suite at the Springhill Suites in Saginaw would not have covered one night in a standard hotel room in the town of Frankenmuth.
I will look for this particular hotel during our future travels. They did everything right.

Good: Friendly welcoming staff. Very clean room. Cozy. Good hot shower. Location within numerous good restaurants.
Breakfast + : nice waffles, yogurt, bananas, muffins, orange juice.
Not good: swimming pool was not operational, very sad! (and it was not mentioned on booking platforms).
Breakfast - : cold eggs, terrible sausage, no vegetables, other kinds of juice than orange.
If the swimming pool worked and breakfast didn't have those negative things I mentioned, the place would've been perfect.

Location is right off freeway and two chain restaurant diners are walking distance so can't complain about location, only drawback is the wifi was down and they don't include breakfast.

Stayed here while attending Rock the Boat on the Princess Wenonah. The King bed room was spacious with fridge and coffee maker. The a/c was on the wall and little hard to maintain temperature, but overall not bad. The shower was a big walk-in with good hot water and pressure. The sink counter was large and plenty of towels were provided. The amenities are on the shower wall. The noise level was low - I was on the top floor (4th). I was not thrilled to be near the elevator (I requested away from elevator), but it wasn't too noisy much to my surprise. The only complaint is for the money, no breakfast is included. They do have a small coffee/cafe in the lobby, but I would recommend either Uptown Grill or Live Oak Coffee for breakfast which are located right across the street. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I joined Hilton Honors and booked a room for one night for my husband and I. I can’t praise the woman at the front desk who took my call to book our room. She treated me like royalty over the phone-answering my many questions, providing useful info, and was so friendly! After driving all day, we were ready to check in and relax. When we walked in, the hotel was bustling with holiday festivities and beautifully decorated. The lobby was filled with people gathering for their own parties, holiday music, and staff dressed in holiday finery. We couldn’t help but catch the Holiday Spirit! The woman at the front desk was more than friendly. She treated us like old friends! She was super accommodating - we got the room location I requested a few days before. She even let me choose pillows to be delivered to our room. In spite of all the parties going on, our room was quiet all night! We enjoyed a nice dinner in their classy restaurant and didn’t have to wait to be seated. The next morning was Breakfast With Santa 🎅🏼 in the dining room. So we were seated in the lounge area which was a smaller area but just a nice. We had a nice hot breakfast, and enjoyed a delightful view of the parade of children and babies going to breakfast all dressed up in their holiday outfits. Thank you and Happy Holidays to the terrific staff at Double Tree by Hilton Bay City Riverfront!

Excellent
GGuest UserI was happy with the lobby when first entering the hotel. Upon waking to our room we commented on how nice and cool the hallways were. Then when entering our room it was apparent that the air conditioning in the room had been off for quite some time. We attempted to turn the air on from the wall unit with no luck. We then called the front desk who offered to come up and help. Upon checking out the unit it was determined that the air conditioning was broken. So we went back down to the front just to see what our options were from there. That is when I have never experienced such horrible customer service in my life. The woman at the desk told us that unfortunately they were sold out for the evening, and it was also unfortunate that we chose to book through a third-party (USAA) that a rebate is unlikely. After informing them that there was no way we could sleep without air conditioning when it’s been 90° outside lately we were met with unfortunately that’s all we can do. From there we asked to speak to the manager, who we spoke with on the phone. Jason White (manager) was utterly condescending and rude to my husband and I. We ended up leaving the hotel, going to the one next-door (Holiday Inn) and booking a much better room with much better customer service. Save yourself some time and just book at the Holiday Inn if you’re coming to Midland Michigan.
GGuest UserWell.. Instead of service I received discrimination from the desk staff and then management threatened me the next day when calling about a refund. Now they have a lawyer involved when all I want is an apology. The situation: We checked in earlier in the night and came back around 1am after a great day in Midland. Our door had blood on it behind the door handle. I asked to have it cleaned by the staff, they offered me a bottle of hand sanitizer. Literally told me to do it myself with hand sanitizer. They then relented and gave up a Lysol wipe after claiming to not know what one was. I then cleaned the blood myself. Next? No soap in bathroom to wash my hands. Next? Tried the jacuzzi tub that we payed extra for - no water. Went to desk and was told ”nothing I can do.” This is where the discrimination comes in - I have Parkinson's disease, and stress makes me shake. As soon as I started shaking the employee said ”You are just rude, and I don't have to deal with you,” and then hid behind a wall in the office, like a child, while I calmly (while being rightfully pissed) explained that I was not rude at all, but disabled. She never came out to hear me, and I grew very frustrated and made this known. So, my wife and I packed then checked out. We stopped back at the desk to ask about a refund and the woman stood in the lobby and simply ignored me, refused to give any helpful inclination as to how to resolve this issue. Until! She finally opened her mouth and said these profound words; ”Sir, there is nothing wrong with you and you need to leave MY hotel before I call the police.” MIND BLOWN! I then gave her the largest piece of my mind anyone has ever received, then had my wife take over the drive home because there were no other rooms available in town, and I was too symptomatic to drive us home myself. My wife, who has high anxiety when driving at night, was forced to drive us home at 1am or let us sleep in the car. Next morning I called the manager and she wouldn't even let me speak, stating that the employee accused me of spitting on her and that she ”trusts her” (so much so that she didn't even need to hear my side of things apparently). Then she said they may contact the police. I laughed at her and told her to watch the tapes. This absolutely never happened, I would never do this. I was a public servant, a 911 dispatcher, before my diagnosis. I help the community, I don't spit on people, nor discriminate and act like a child at work. They then seized contact with me and Mac their attorney has since emailed me and told me to stop attempting communication them. I asked for nothing more than an apology and assurance this wont happen again, and they turned me over to their non responsive attorney. Stay Tuned, I'm not letting this go. I wont let this happen to another member of the Parkinson's community, or any other. DO NOT STAY HERE! Expedia thankfully refunded the room for us.. go check them out. This Holiday-Inn looks nice, but they employ and prote
