The front entry walk is really beat up! Hotel rooms are dated in that you still have the slippery tub/shower set up and toilets that feel foot above the floor! That said what you get is a clean well-run hotel staffed by a great team. Hats off for the great breakfast where you will find you can eat off real china plates and metal silverware!

Overall, the place is clean and tidy and in a good location. The staff messed up my reservation and billed me instead of using my points reservation, which had been made months before. If you are staying on points, don't just leave your card in the checkout box, but instead wait in line and force them to confirm that your stay was taken care of by points.

Checked in on app. Then also stopped to get one more card. Mobile key would not work had to have front reset and give all new keys. Not a huge issue. Mobile key would not work on gym door which employee stated is what everyone says. Gym was nice and 24 hours. Pool was “heated” but still cold. Hot tub worked fine. Stayed in a King suite on 1st floor. Lots of animals. Could hear dogs barking often. Room had large fridge and stove top (no oven), dishwasher and sink. There were pans for stove top and needed kitchen utensils. Did not use. Did have dish washer detergent. It was nice to have full fridge. Door to room was very temperamental and sticky when opening and closing. Nice desk area. Sofa with foot rest. Large TV that we did not turn on. King beg was fine. We hate hotel pillows and these were as bad as all the others. Shower and toilet were on separate room from sink and closet. Full length mirror in closet doors. Cleaning service every two days. Booking stated recently updated room which I would agree, except for shower. Shower was not new and felt dirty. Breakfast was fine. Nice outdoor seating area. Small basketball court, not sure if there were balls to go with. Might need to bring your own. Nice fireplace with books and games for everyone’s use. We would definitely stay again. Good area. Easy to travel down town.

This is the second time that we have stayed at the Middleton Residence Inn. It is now our "go to" place to stay when we come to Madison to visit family. Our recent five night visit was excellent. The hotel is immaculate; staff is friendly and accommodating and the included breakfast is very good. Special thanks to Troy, who was able to accommodate a special request for room location when I contacted the hotel the night before our arrival. He went above and beyond to assist and it was greatly appreciated.

The hotel books children's birthday parties, apparently. We wouldn't normally have an issue with this, except that they were in the room directly above us. I've never heard so much noise at a hotel- and I use a white noise machine! The front desk associate was very apologetic but there wasn't much she could do. I'll never stay here again

The hotel was very clean. Staff was helpful. Rooms were very comfortable. Our stay was totally disrupted by a dog in the room next door that barked incessantly when left alone - which was a lot. We love animals and have no problem with pets in the hotel. But guests with pets should respect other guests and if they know their pet will be disruptive then make other arrangements. The staff had no idea how to support other guests in this situation.

This is an older RI that has been renovated, and renovated quite nicely, and lacked any major issues and the minor issues were minimal and quite honestly unimportant. A detailed breakdown of my experience can be found here. Exterior/Curb Appeal/Parking/Location: The exterior of the hotel was very well landscaped, featuring a nicely maintained courtyard and sports complex, and I believe there were grills as well. They made a nice effort at making the exterior feel updated when the renovated inside. The curb appeal was also excellent, no issues here. The parking lot was well lit and maintained, though spaces did seem to fill up fairly quickly. The location is also excellent, plenty of things nearby, easy Beltline Access and downtown Madison is easily accessible. Common Areas/Breakfast: All of the common areas were very nice, and included an indoor pool, fitness center, and business center. The lobby and hallways were kept clean, minus a few pizza boxes, throughout my stay, and the elevators were functional. The free breakfast was well stocked with plenty of options, a huge departure from previous RI breakfast experiences. Staff: The staff here were all fantastic, friendly, and simply good at there job. Security: All exterior doors require key cards, and the rooms have an RFID Deadbolt and a flip lock. The Room Itself: I had room 414, a one bedroom suite. Upon entering, I found a nice closet, a well appointed kitchen, plenty of utensils, and a huge living room. A large desk and chair, a nice sofa, plenty of tables, and a TV were present, as was a window. The view was good, the furniture was in great shape, plenty of USB and outlets were available, and everything was spotless. On the other side of a door was a bit of a tight bedroom with more nice furniture, outlets, a very comfy queen bed, and the bathroom. The sink and closet were open to the room and lacked any issues, and the product was good. The shower and toilet were behind a door. The Nitpicky Issues: -No Trash or Laundry Bags (But they give you a recycling can in room!!) -The tub/shower backsplashes are nice, but the tub was in mediocre shape and probably the only part of the renovation they missed. -The diverter for the tub to shower required way more force than it should. Summary: As a whole, I’m very impressed with this property and could easily recommend it to anyone in the area.

Great central location to be able to go to Spring Green or up to the Dells. Lovely breakfast, nice room size, bed was comfy. Only issue was they repaved the parking lot during our stay and things weren't really communicated well on where to park (but our vehicle did not get towed).

Our AC broke the first night, horrible humidity. They said they couldn't fix it without us moving out, but they didn't have two bed rooms (only offered king, we were with our teenage daughter). Beds were rock hard, dog next door barked all night long
