We were really excited about staying here. We were here for a wedding and got a room through the block of rooms reserved by the family. We got a good rate, but unfortunately, even with that it wasn't worth it. The hotel itself is great. It's got a very cool vibe, the service is excellent all the way around, and the location perfect. We only tried one restaurant, LT Steak & Seafood, which was wonderful. The lobby was full when we arrived on a beautiful Saturday morning. Clearly there were locals there enjoying drinks and live piano music. There is a fantastic display of photos of the Stones and Beatles throughout. It's a fascinating exhibition called "LOST: The Bob Bonis Archives." This exhibit showcases over 250 photos taken by Bob Bonis, who was the road manager for both the Beatles and the Rolling Stones during their first U.S. tours. So much for the hotel and service. Now to the room. As many have noted, the rooms are small, but that's okay, as there were just two of us and we spent very little time in it. The bed was comfortable. However, when we arrived, the nicely decorated room was wanting for a renovation and cleaning. The bathroom had mildew and rust. There was a water bottle cap on the bathroom floor, out in the open, which meant that it wasn't properly cleaned. The ceiling fabric was peeling. You know, that's something that can be fixed pretty easily. Management needs to pay more attention to detail. This was a poor value for the money, so we won't be staying there again when we return to South Beach, which we love. Therefore, I cannot recommend this hotel.
