Very basic but not bad. The room was very large and just like the pictures but shows some wear around the edges. It was clean but I stayed three nights and they never serviced the room. Some of the staff was very nice and helpful. Hotel offers breakfast served in the President I guess for all three hotels (Penguin, President, President Villa). Having it included was nice but ... the vat of scrambled eggs was always cold. I was there a few minutes after it opened one day and still at best luke warm. Cold toast. Pieces of fruit ... not fruit salad. I did not try but there was a vat of yogurt and cold cereal. Juices and coffee. There's a bar in the President and a porch you can use plus an outdoor siting area. The price was very competitive especially with breakfast included and two bottles of water per day. Would I stay there again? Maybe. If I was in Miami Beach and looking for a hotel I would consider it based on price, etc.

NEW 140-room boutique hotel located on historic Espanola Way in South Beach. Opened in November 2022.
Once a colony for artists and outcasts now reimagined for a new cultural age Esme is a gem hidden in plain sight. Built in 1925 the series of buildings along Espanola Way that make up Esme Village were once a hideaway for Al Capone and his cronies as they ran shady card games and set the backdrop for Desi Arnaz as he started a craze for the rumba. Now a historic landmark these walls set the foundation for 145 guest rooms and suites a roof deck pool and lounge and four dynamic food and beverage concepts all nodding to the colorful history of the Village and offering an escape to a world where time slips away.

We had a (pink) deluxe king room (275 sq/ft) and it was wonderful! We were not in the main building, but we’re a short walk away in the complex. There was a kind porter to help with luggage. The size was just fine for us, and we had plenty of room to store luggage under the bed or on the side of the room. The shower pressure was fantastic and the in room amenities were a wonderful touch. There is a coffee maker in the room with mini bar/fridge. No microwave. Room service breakfast (for a fee) was delicious, and the house coffee was fruity, chocolatey and delectable. Lighting was on the darker side, but people might be forgetting to turn on an overhead light on the ceiling fan. You can do this on the wall switch top button. The furnishings were modern, classy and opulent in the room and in the hotel. I truly felt like I was in the pages of a magazine, but it did not feel stuffy or pretentious at all. Staff were wonderful and helpful. After reading reviews, we brought ear plugs just in case, and we definitely used them. Noise is an issue (hence 4 stars), but if you are prepared for this, it’s not a shock. The hotel is in a fantastic, lively area with great restaurants and shopping, but it can get loud at night on the weekends. Prepare for this, and it won’t be an issue. You are charged for extras you may not use, but we greatly enjoyed the stay even when not taking advantage of the extras. We will definitely be back!

Recommended by the virgin rep, so booked for an overnight trip. Car park was extra and really tight spaces for the huge hire car we had been given. Our room was next door, we had to walk through a full restaurant and up in the lift. The smoke alarm was going off as we checked it, piercing noise outside our room whilst it was being fixed. The room- basic with storage and noisy aircon with the blinds down. Opened the blind to a Bush and the wall of next door- defo no sea view in this one. Shower was cold so we all had to have cold showers and toilet was dodgy flushing. Walked outside, air con was leaking all over the corridor floor so reported at reception. They cleared it quickly. We stayed one night and loved miami as a place, location of the hotel was fab, came back early as wasn't sure what would happen when the restaurant closed. As others have said, when i booked it said free breakfast and when i asked they said there was no breakfast unless we paid in the restaurant. Would I stay again, probably not.

When I say I absolutely loved this place, I loved it this was my first stay all the way from New Jersey for a 5 day stay, I know even know where to start I was checked in by the security that helps around she was so prefect anytime we needed anything she would help or guide us in the right direction. I was so sad I didn’t get to see her my last two nights I wanted to tip her so bad n give her the most appreciative hug☺️But not to mention they have a restaurant downstairs in boy it’s this one person I will never forget unfortunately I didn’t get his name bc we started a conversation about a iguana, yea a laugh lol, an from there all I did is call him my friend 😂 but from the moment to the end he kept me laughing so hard I already miss having lunch there so we can laugh. But I’m gone end here wit when I come back I hope to see the same two people I absolutely wanna thank everyone for making us feel like we where home 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Will definitely be returning to The Ritz Carlton, South Beach. Upon entering the hotel everything seemed super clean and I was greeted with a glass of champagne. I had a fabulous experience at the beach. A few names of the Excellent staff that made the day perfection: Murex, Jacque, Nerlens, Jefferey, and Daril. My group and I were helped to find a great spot on the beach, the food and drinks were amazing. This group of staff checked on my friends and I to make sure all was well. Will hopefully be coming back soon!

Situated on oceanfront Collins Avenue in the heart of Millionaires Row Fontainebleau Miami Beach is one of the most historically and architecturally significant hotels on Miami Beach Florida. Its iconic design is a spectacular blend of Miamis glamorous golden era and stylish modern luxury. A revered Miami Beach landmark for more than half a century Morris Lapidus emblematic curvilinear building sets a new standard for business and pleasure. The 22-acre oceanfront Miami Beach hotel features signature restaurants by award-winning chefs; two chic nightlife venues; a two-story spa- a virtually endless poolscape- miles of pristine beach and state-of-the-art conference and event facilities. That same persona lingers on and we have no intention of changing it.

Our service at the beach was wonderful! Alejandra was an excellent server. It was a very relaxing atmosphere. They have great lounge chairs and umbrellas. You can rent larger lounge chairs and cabanas for the day, too. It was easy to access the beach directly from the Fontainebleau property.

Our room faced the hotel yard so it was quiet. The hotel is basic and dated but it offers great value for the price. Other hotels around are 2-3 times more expensive.
The bed comfort could be better. Multiple eateries in walking distance. There is also a free trolley that takes you to South Beach. It takes 15-20 min depending on traffic. We would stay here again.

Excellent
GGuest UserI really enjoyed this hotel, it is very well kept and maintained (pool area, room was modern and spotless). The staff is amazing, especially the beach staff. The location is perfect for walking the area. I would (will!) return for sure!
GGuest Usergood!!!!!!!!!!!!! The swimming pool is good but the facilities are a bit small The room condition is not bad The yoga program provided by the hotel was good
RRavipas VongasemjitThe hotel is very lovely and we had a really awesome stay at this hotel. The staf is very kind, helpful and the service was great. The location is superb, very close to the beach and the convention hall nearby for the event. The hotel also provide us the lounger to use at the beach but didn't tell us about the available time (~7am-~7pm) so that we missed the chance to use it. The breakfast is also very chill and delicious.
There are some notes about this hotel. There are resort fees that cost 49$/night which was not specified in the booking that shuold be noted however, thanks to the hotel manager, they helped us with the charges. In addition to the really nice room, the floor in the bedroom is quite cold and cannot walk comfortably with bare foot.
GGuest UserWe were greeted with soju shots and lemongrass towels, oh so refreshing coming from cold to humid weather. Front desk was helpful in assisting us with what we needed and always with a smile. We love the hotels design, the swimming pools are awesome and so is the fitness center. Thanks for treating us well!
LLucho RodriguezI can confidently give this dog-friendly hotel a well-deserved five-star rating, as our experience there was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly, and their friendliness and helpfulness were evident throughout our stay.
Our furry friend was treated like a VIP. The hotel’s commitment to being dog-friendly was remarkable, and our pet felt right at home from the start.
Beyond the pet-friendly aspect, the hotel itself was a true delight. The pool area offering a refreshing escape with nice music.
The rooms were consistently clean, and the pleasant scent that permeated the hotel created a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. It was evident that the staff took great care to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all guests.
As we returned for our third visit, our love for this place only grew stronger. If you’re seeking a dog-friendly haven where exceptional service, a beautiful ambiance, and pristine rooms converge, look no further. This hotel is an absolute gem that we can’t help but adore.
TtangweidongVery close to the Miami Beach Convention Center, all aspects are OK, I paid the money in Ctrip, and when I got to the hotel, he would like me how much I have more than 100 yuan, my English is not very good, the negotiation is not clear, I can only give
MMayJuneThe location is a little bit nearby There are few hotels nearby There is a hotel downstairs There is a convenience store about 150 meters from the right corner of the hotel There is a convenience store The bathroom is very large The public swimming pool and hot spring pool are on the first floor The beach can be reached from the back door of the hotel Very quiet
The worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The day we arrived (Oct. 8th) the room wasn’t properly cleaned. The countertops and stove in the kitchen had not been cleaned. As we continued to get settled into the room we hear the air conditioned come on. OMG!! The air-conditioning unit in the room was so loud it sounded like an industrial engine in a factory. It woke us up every night so needless to say we didn’t get much sleep. To add insult to injury, while trying to sleep I felt something on my head. Thinking it was a roach I jumped up and turned on the lights only to realize it was the “pleather” headboard that was peeling and falling on my head. The worst part about it all was the lack of response from the hotel staff including the Manager, Jose Pita. I immediately addressed my concerns with the front desk clerk the night we arrived and asked for another room as this room was not satisfactory at all. The receptionist proceeds to tell me that she couldn’t help me and that I would need to speak with someone in the morning. I waited until the following morning to address my concerns with the next person on duty. That young lady (Ruth) was the only pleasant person at the hotel. She stated she would have someone check out the AC unit in our room and if it couldn’t be repaired she would move us to another room. I explained we would be out the entire day and would return around 5pm that afternoon which she replied, “no problem”. As we returned from our day of exploring Miami I approached the young lady at the desk (her name was Hynah) to inform her of the conversation I had with Ruth and she proceeds to tell me that they would not be moving our room as Ruth had stated. She said “All the AC units sound like that”. When I asked to speak to the Manager she told me he wasn’t there so I asked for his email address. I sent the Manager (Jose Pita) a lengthy email detailing my experience in an effort to see if he could resolve the issues at hand for a paying customer. I never received a response from Mr. Pita. As someone who is a Corporate Exec in the hospitality industry and stays at hotels 150+ nights a year across the gulf south region this was by far the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. If I could give this a ZERO I would. I am going to make sure I let all of my colleagues and contacts know never to stay at this hotel EVER!!
GGuest UserThis hotel was affordable and in a great location. Check in was super easy, and every staff we encounter was so kind and willing to help! Also the door keys are waterproof wrist bands which is super cool.
I only knocked stars off amenities because it should say somewhere that this hotel is 2 floors with no elevator. We were not expecting to have to lug our 50lb luggage up steep stairs and it was quite the workout. I also took stars off cleanliness because while the hotel common spaces were clean, the room bathroom left something to be desired. It just looked like it was cleaned in a super rush, and spots were missed.
Overall I’m VERY happy with my stay, but I felt like it would have been nice to know ahead of time about the elevator.
