There is a large shopping mall next to the hotel. The hotel is in a wealthy area and the public security environment is very good. The nearby mall is very convenient for shopping for food, clothing, housing and transportation. The stay experience is very good

The room is relatively new and spacious. The bathroom is relatively simple and the towels are of poor quality. The most unacceptable thing is the pillow. I have never slept in something so uncomfortable! The service staff are very nice and enthusiastic. The breakfast included in the hotel is basically nothing except fruit and cheese. You still need to buy eggs and toast yourself. I booked it purely for a business trip and the price was acceptable during the exhibition.

As I said in the title of the review. The hotel is clean, as far as possible. It´s impossible for the cleaning staff to remove years of use from the furniture. Everything is very old. The door was broken from below, a lamp next to the bed does not turn on, hardly any water came out of the shower, the desk chair does not work properly, in short, it shows that they don´t give the correct maintenance to the hotel facilities. The only good thing is that the staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, it was a very bad experience.

I had to choose between two options, die of cold or not sleep all night because heating sounds like a locomotive. This is a modern designed hotel where the decor is in good condition and common areas and rooms are clean. The rooms have floor to ceiling windows and there is a large walk in shower, which I like. There is even a small fridge in the room which is whisper quiet. As the Hilton Garden is connected to a Doubletree (the share the same driveway) the hotel is full service, including room service, which was prompt and the food hot and wine from the Doubletree’s collection. There are numerous restaurant options just down the hill. Of course, you will then need to walk back up the hill at altitude! There is a large and pleasant breakfast area on the lower level and snacks can be purchased in the lobby. The only negative during my stay was a TV which was virtually unwatchable. After about ten minutes that picture became pixilated and the sound intermittent. It did not appear to be the feed, but my particular monitor. The front desk said they did send a technician to repair it, but I never saw any improvement. So, I could only watch by turning it off, waiting a few minutes and turning back on. That would buy me another few minutes of viewing time. Anyway, although the guide said there was CNN in English, there was not. Only Fox (which I could not watch for more than a minute anyway 😊) or the BBC, which repeats itself hourly it seems. Aside from the TV, which I suspect is a one off, I will return.

I stayed for 10 nights simply to get work done quietly without any distractions (as an experiment in a burst of productivity). It worked out marvelously. Knowing I was committing to stay in the room and on the hotel grounds basically the whole time I took a lot of care in finding the perfect place. I didn't need a fun touristy location (the opposite) and therefore focused on Santa Fe. Among the hotels in the area I considered the Westin (I love their beds) and the JW Marriott, a chain I've enjoyed in various cities. Also the Camino Real and the other Hiltons in the area. I am so glad I chose the Doubletree! The main reason was the room -- which was huge and perfect for my project. I had a separate large space just for work (with a table and a TV that I could hook up to my computer as a large-screen monitor with an HDMI cable). The unexpected bonus was the view from the room: spectacular from the floor- to-ceiling windows (high ceilings too!). With gorgeous storms during the rainy season. What I didn't realize was that the DT is up on a hill so it's positioned above the other hotels. (They do themselves a disservice by numbering their floors as they do. I was on the ”7th floor” but in reality it was the 12th floor since they have a bunch of lower floors with no numbers used for gyms and lobbies and such.) Bed and pillows hit the spot (not the best ever but I slept fine). Air conditioning was quiet and worked perfectly. One odd thing I've seen in other hotels too was a couple sensors on the ceiling, one of which flashed brightly intermittently all night. Why? I had climb up and cover it up with a hat as I'm sensitive to lights while sleeping. Dumb design. Another was some kind of motion sensor ... I never figured out what that was all about but it only flipped on when you walked around so it wasn't a big deal). The breakfast buffet was fine -- I had mostly the fresh fruit spread with yogurt and granola. The gym was also perfect for what I needed -- a treadmill, some free weights, and a yoga mat with almost nobody else ever there (including plenty of terrace areas which I used to work out with an app). There's a nice pool and a spa with massages. The lobby restaurant was exactly what I expected -- not a great restaurant but I ate there happily most nights and walked to Shu, an upscale Japanese restaurant inside the hotel (but with a separate entrance) the other nights. I don't recommend Shu as it was overpriced and felt like a nightclub. The building is well designed with its sister hotel the Garden Inn next door. Nice airy lobby with breezes and high ceiling. Complimentary fast printers in the lobby was a surprisingly generous touch. Walking distance to a fancy mall (Samara) where I got supplies and some snacks and bottles of water. Friendly staff. I stayed at the Westin Santa Fe hotel during my first business trip to Mexico City. Staff was very friendly upon check-in, my Bonvoy status was acknowledged, and I was upgraded to a suite on the 8th floor. The room was spacious, clean, and functional. There was also a welcome snack in my room. Breakfast was good, but the buffet was not as extensive as other international Westins and Marriotts. Choices included typical breakfast fare plus some local fruits and juices. Needless to say, staff was friendly and responsive. The executive lounge had a decent spread, the staff there was extremely friendly, and the outdoor views were spectacular. Now for the hiccups: - the rooftop pool is slightly larger than a bathtub, yes somewhat of an exaggeration but definitely not to scale for this large property. The kicker - it was covered all three nights during my stay, with no sign or explanations - someone claiming to be from the front desk called late one night, asking me to verify my last name [the front desk clerk verified that they did call me the previous night] - a uniformed hotel staff knocked at my door after 11pm the same night as the phone call to tell me my phone was off the hook (it wasn't!). What a weird incident! - there were several restaurant charges on my folio totaling over $600 that I saw as I was checking out. The front desk staff did make the adjustments to remove them, but it was very disconcerting especially considering the two incidents above I will consider staying at this property again primarily because of my room and the friendly staff, hopefully there will not be any hiccups next time around.

The service was really nice, all the staff were really helpful and polite. The breakfast included in the rate was really good with a well quantity of options, definitely a good option if your a going to stay in Santa Fe Area

The front desk service is very good, and the hotel restaurant is also great.. But the pick-up service is too expensive! By the way, the shower in the hotel really needs to be replaced! WI-FI is not free, it may be a pain point of Marriott, the charge is reasonable.. but the paid WI-FI is fast, watching videos without lag.. I still recommend everyone to stay here

Excellent customer service. Great hotel team and value. Very good, and safe location close to the mall in Santa Fe. Convenient small shopping plaza below the hotel with some restaurants, stores and a Mc Donald plus an upscale super market makes your stay easy and convenient.
