We were working in Mexico City and as always stayed at the Hyatt Regency. The staff is very supportive no matter what silly thing we need. This time it was shredding extra paperwork - note there is a shredder in the business center. The food in the main restaurant is tasty. I particularly liked the short rib tacos, but be warned, they are juicy so be prepared to make a mess. The rooms are large, the closets ample, the how water in the shower is relaxing. Overall a great property.

The location of the hotel is good, there are many restaurants around. Because it has been a few years, some facilities in the room can see the traces of time. The service is quite satisfactory, the service at the checkin at the front desk and the outdoor restaurant on the second floor is not bad (pictures 2 and 3 are outdoor restaurants, I ate at the hotel when I arrived late, the food is not exquisite but tastes good). The concierge is more ordinary, with strange eyes and arrogant attitude. What is more excessive is the waiter in the buffet breakfast room. The room rate includes breakfast, but the guest still needs to sign a bill. We gave a tip of 50peso, but unexpectedly, the waiter added a 1 in front of 50 without authorization, and it became 150. It can be seen from the photo that the 1 in front of 50 is quite abrupt, and the writing and color are different from 50. (It’s also our own fault. We only wrote the tip, and didn’t write the total amount to save trouble, because we didn’t intend to give a tip. The waiter just took the coffee pot and asked if he wanted coffee. Apart from that, he didn’t provide anything else. Serve). After staying in the tipping culture for so many years, this is the first time I have encountered such a thing.

Really nice hotel with people that are really friendly. Clean, smells really, and serviced really well. The desk staff were really friendly and helpful. Rocío cleaned and looked after my room really well! Thanks Rocio.
The Spa and gym was amazing - especially the staff who were really helpful and kind. The trainer Ariel was really helpful showing me various training routines and ways for thinking about exercise - he is an expert in Judo (black belt!). Alexis was really helpful with the spa facilities. Thanks Ariel and Alexis!
The beauty salon run by Azul was really good and especially with the treatments she offers! She convinced me to start looking after the smaller things about my appearance. It is the people that make a place and in this case in Hotel Marquis Reforma. I will definitely go back. Thanks Azul!
Thanks Hotel Marquis Reforma! See you soon.

This is my 4th time at the hotel and by far the worst. The room was far lower quality than my last 3 stays. Would probably not stay again based on this. The price for what I got was extremely disappointing when usually it’s fantastic

Lovely room, delightful hotel and gracious staff. However, the booking process was difficult, and the communication with the front desk confusing. We got three versions of confirmed dates (the last one correct) did not get clarification as to whether our room included breakfast. When we arrived, we were given different responses to our question about whether breakfast was included on three occasions. We are fine with paying extra, but would have liked to have know whether to eat in or elsewhere. The restaurant was a weak spot with slow service, and no red wines available by the glass on our second visit. The waitperson said it was due to Xmas, but it seems quite surprising for this level of hotel to run out of red wine options four days after the holiday. Overall, we enjoyed the hotel, the location and the rooftop brunch on our last day were great. Please work on your service and communication to guests

Stayed 7 nights with my partner at this wonderful hotel, which is centrally located (10 minute walk to the main Zocalo square with lots of shopping nearby) and has a very good bar/restaurant on-site. The rooms are new with firm beds, thick towels and linens, a hot shower, daily maid service, a medium-sized safe that can hold a tablet, good climate control, and a Nespresso coffee machine. A filtered water dispenser to refill water bottles is quite the advantage in the lobby. The gym on the 2nd floor is modern with very usable equipment, and is located next to an outdoor terrace. The breakfast buffet was very good with several choices. Antonio and Nayla provided excellent customer service during breakfast, and Antonio also alerted me to breakfast options that were healthier for my sensitive stomach. The lobby staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, I rate this hotel an 8 or 9 out of 10 and would definitely stay here again. That being said, I would like to offer some suggestions to Novotel to make the hotel room a bit better for travelers. This new, minimal hotel room concept means that there are no dresser drawers for storing clothing, and there’s only one spot in the hanging metal “closet” for storing one suitcase - the other person must put their suitcase on the floor . One must live out of their suitcase during the entire stay, which is very annoying. This can easily be remedied by having more hangers (10 instead of 5?) in the closet, and having one or two folding luggage racks available. Also, another side table is needed beside the bed, since there’s only one. The person sleeping on the left side of the bed must put their water, glasses, phone, etc. on the floor, since there’s no side table, or place their items far away on the desk. Also, the thick towels keep falling off the three very lame wooden towel “knobs”. These knobs need to be replaced or extended outward in order to be able to hold a load. I would hang up my wet towel and it would immediately fall onto the floor. We fought with this the entire week. The hotel would save a lot of money by not having to wash towels every day that have fallen onto the floor. Additionally, perhaps for an upcharge, a small refrigerator could be placed in the room. These minor issues did not affect our overall satisfaction of this hotel.

I stayed at the Westin Santa Fe hotel during my first business trip to Mexico City. Staff was very friendly upon check-in, my Bonvoy status was acknowledged, and I was upgraded to a suite on the 8th floor. The room was spacious, clean, and functional. There was also a welcome snack in my room. Breakfast was good, but the buffet was not as extensive as other international Westins and Marriotts. Choices included typical breakfast fare plus some local fruits and juices. Needless to say, staff was friendly and responsive. The executive lounge had a decent spread, the staff there was extremely friendly, and the outdoor views were spectacular. Now for the hiccups: - the rooftop pool is slightly larger than a bathtub, yes somewhat of an exaggeration but definitely not to scale for this large property. The kicker - it was covered all three nights during my stay, with no sign or explanations - someone claiming to be from the front desk called late one night, asking me to verify my last name [the front desk clerk verified that they did call me the previous night] - a uniformed hotel staff knocked at my door after 11pm the same night as the phone call to tell me my phone was off the hook (it wasn't!). What a weird incident! - there were several restaurant charges on my folio totaling over $600 that I saw as I was checking out. The front desk staff did make the adjustments to remove them, but it was very disconcerting especially considering the two incidents above I will consider staying at this property again primarily because of my room and the friendly staff, hopefully there will not be any hiccups next time around.

The bell boy service is really embarazing, they want to help and touch the luggage 5 Meters before your final destination. Nevertheless in the critical points, is not possible to find one of them. They are every time in other places or occupied talking with other bell boys.

ZZHIXINGThe breakfast here is high in calories. I don’t have to eat at noon. Coffee, tea is just a drink. The room is small, but it is very clean. The weather here is very good. I don’t need to pull back the air conditioner at night.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a very nice location, a couple of blocks from Avenida Paseo de la Reforma. The room was very clean and there was a walk-in shower in the bathroom. A nice ce upgrade would be to have USB ports by the nightstand.
My issue is with Trip.com. I paid in advance for 3 rooms- one for me and one each for two friends. When I booked the rooms, I listed each of us separately on the online form. I received my confirmation by email and assumed that so did my friends. When we arrived at the hotel, I checked in without issue but when my friends tried to, they were told that no reservation existed for them. This is despite the fact that I had paid by credit card for all three rooms on one transaction. A call to Trips.com did nothing to fix the situation. The reservation number I gave them only had my room listed.
My only option now is to dispute the charge once my credit card statement arrives.
This was a surprisingly practical and quaint boutique hotel in Polanco. It is conveniently located across the street from major high-end hotels such as the W Mexico City, which are outrageously priced. The hotel is really an old villa that was converted to a boutique hotel. The rooms are tiny and basic. Essentially a bedroom with a small bathroom and shower areas. The room was surprisingly cold at night. Breakfast was self-serve. Complimentary bottle of gin in the room. This is a budget alternative to the major hotels in the area. Security at entrance of the property and gated. I would return.
GGuest UserWhile this hotel was aesthetically pleasing and in a good location for relatively easy access to many tourist spots, the amenities, service, and operation was absolutely horrible! The language barrier was also very challenging and one would think for this to be such a hot spot that they would have staff fluent in English for tourists. I was told that the hotel had english-speaking concierge that would be able to guide me with questions on transportation, etc. and that was not the case. Day 1: - Language barrier made check-in unnecessarily challenging - Language barrier made the ability to assist us with our desired tours impossible, thankfully we had a backup plan and had gathered information for ourselves - Bikes as advertised were not available AT ALL, at no time during our stay and per guests that had arrived a week prior the bikes had not been available (out for repairs & unavailable the entire stay)...this was the method of transportation we had planned on using AND had supposedly reserved for the afternoon of our arrival, thus causing us to have to change plans - My 1st evening in the room the air conditioning was not working and my room was SCORCHING! I was calling every 1 - 1.5 hrs asking for assistance, and even though they are able to control it remotely they could not get it working....I was only able to rest approx. 3 hrs and woke up congested and with a migraine. The young woman at the front desk did everything that she could to communicate the issue and actually did apologize that I was ill, however was not successful in her attempts to reach 'The Manager' as she said that 'the manager' would not return calls made in attempt to speak with me - this ultimately made me late for our tour/lunch reservation due to attempts to handle the situation. Upon return for the afternoon I was told that the A/C was fixed. Upon arriving in the room I found it to be freezing cold and attempted to turn the unit off, the front desk staff KEPT turning it back on, even after attempts to help them understand that the temperature was still not being controlled within the room, thus I was probably able to get 4-5 hrs of sleep and my cold/congestion got worse.....and they said there was no room available to move me to All that said, I have my complaint into the booking agency and hotel corp office, but am writing this review to warn anyone contemplating their stay at City Centro Ciudad de Mexico
费费兰登阿历克斯The price/performance ratio is absolutely high. If you bring breakfast and we don’t understand Spanish, it’s best to look at the breakfast ordered by other guests. If you order a breakfast you like, you will feel happy
GGuest UserThis hotel is very interesting. It is a Mexican-style nostalgic hotel. The hotel is designed in the 1970s and 1980s. The faucet is an ancient style with separate hot and cold water. It is very cute. The room has an electric stove and a microwave oven, and even a coffee machine. Yes, the closet is a hundred-page concealed door, which is well maintained and the room is spacious. The geographical location is very good, it is a wealthy area, the public security is good, and the police are often patrolled during the day, there are big banks and supermarkets nearby, and there are various high-end restaurants and supporting facilities around. The US Consulate is also within minutes. This hotel is very suitable for guests who have culture or love classics. The value for money is five stars, it is recommended.
WWhiteMouseBurrowWe stayed at the hotel for one night, right after the hard first day in Mexico. We are very tired because examined the capital immediately after a long flight ... There were no special impressions about the hotel, everything was quite satisfactory. The room is comfortable, we had a good rest. The restaurant offered us both European and Mexican cuisine, it is quite possible to relax after a hard day.
TThomasBGThis is my second 1-night stay in this hotel in the last 7 days - both in order to get some sleep after long-haul flights before continuing for the next one. For this purpose the hotel is OK. Simple but clean and having everything one needs for 7-8 hours, including a very convenient check-out time of 1pm, which, to be honest, is something unique, especially in the last years when they are trying to move the check-out time first to 11, then to 10, and I’ve seen even 9am somewhere! So far, so good. The little problem I bumped into at check-out, was that this hotel is also unique with the fact that it doesn’t have either a luggage storage facility, not an organization to store guests’ luggage when they fly out later in the day. After I tried to insist (because I’m 100% sure even 2-star hotels have such places, and this is even rated as 4* in some places), they offered me to leave my bags near the reception, in a dark and completely unsecured place behind some counter. A place everybody could walk in and nobody will see. Go and prove you had a bag with things important to you, if on return you don’t find you stuff there. And having in mind this it not the best part of the city, I couldn’t take the risk, so I had to waste time to go to a special paid luggage storage company. I actually even offered Hotel Seoul money to put my bag in a safe location, but they refused. So the third time, if I have to fly late in the day, I’ll surely look for a hotel with a better service in this aspect, Which is a pity, because this one offers everything one needs for some rest during a long layover. For longer stays I wouldn’t recommend staying there, because the rooms are a bit dark and even a bit cold at night. But for a single night stay it’s great. Including the very good WiFi.
