After a long stay, I asked to see how things are in this hotel. On the one hand, there are very friendly people like the guard and the cooks, but there are also some very careful people. The hotel in question is located next to a plethora of bars and restaurants of the noisy type, all kinds of groups playing sometimes at the same time. Several times I had to put music in my room to drown out the cacophony. I went through the various floors, both the first and second floors are dark and the windows facing the street have a chicken wire mesh protection next to the balcony. Finally, I settled on the fourth floor, which is undoubtedly the best because the bathroom is large and the area is well appointed, in contrast to the kitchen, which is very poor and stocked with different items without rhyme or reason. For example, there is a broken stove and the cooks have to make do with a portable stove on the table next to it. The photos show the living room but avoid showing the kitchen, for obvious reasons. On several occasions there was no hot water in the mornings, fortunately we were given the opportunity to walk just two blocks and take a shower in another of the properties. The terrace could be much better but there is no willingness to improve, not only in this part but in the other areas. This neglect and lack of aesthetic detail gives the hotel a somewhat decadent air - which perhaps some guests may find attractive. This review could have been more positive but the way they vacated my room without notice to accommodate a large group coming to an event. The receptionist enlightened me with her tact and wisdom, her name is Capitalisto, she told me, supply and demand determine who stays and who goes. Another detail that seemed curious to me is that when I paid in cash with bills, this same receptionist took a photo of said bills along with the billing sheet? And when I forgot my card key, he charged me 100 pesos for a new one, but when I found it and returned the new one, he didn’t want to give me my money back? The good thing is the people who work there, and with whom I chatted here and there pleasantly. However, I noticed that they are being watched by cameras at all hours, so there is a latent feeling of oppression in the way they behave. It is as if Big Brother was aware of all their movements, however during my entire stay I never saw any kind of management with any influence. The best thing were the ‘sales’ girls who more than anything else went to check the administrative aspects, once there was a photoshoot of the attractive dishes, several of which I never saw on the menu. On the last day they blocked my access to my room and I had to go to another hotel. Both the (unpleasant) receptionist (Carla) and the sales people cared little that I had occupied a room when the hotel was almost empty (the whole month), but they had no compulsion to expel me when a group came.
