Hotels Near Plaza Via in Merida

This Hotel is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in while visiting the Yucatán ! I want to give much thanks to Martin who works the front desk!! and all who work the security at night and the door men during the day! !!! The women who work breakfast are amazing and so sweet and helpful ! I’m just so impressed with this hotel I could go on and on!!! I go to Merida often and have stayed at so many different hotels ! This wins the Gold Medal. Thank you Residence inn The room was so comfortable and I love that my remote for the TV changes Spanish movies to English!!! Yes!! Location ideal for shopping and groceries ! ❤️👍🎉machismo gracias !!!!!!!

Always a good standard, rich breakfast, convenient transportation, quiet and comfortable rooms, without interruption. The hotel staff is warm and polite, and you can check in early after discussion.

I am form the US and only speak a little spanish. This was my 3rd visit oover a 6 year period and the fornt desk staff has always greated me well in english with my questions. The monring breakfast is the ebst breakfast I have had at any Hampton Inn anywhere in the world ( 6 am - 10 am). The elevator has a security key using your room key, to go up to your room. The rooms are large and the bed is very comfortable. Black out curtains keep the room coole rfor day tiem and dark in the room at night, which i need to sleep better. Also, the room is very quiet with no outsode morning noise form business nor vehicles. Request two keys if you need a cool room when you return at night. Your room key fits in a slot near the door that allows to the AC and lights to stay on. Most nights, I went for a walk for exercise and it is an easy walk to the the Luxury Mall, Costco or the museum with the Convnetion center just down the road. The streets are well lit, police patrol the roads and I felt safe (even saw many women walking alone at night). There is a food cort at the mall and an OXXO convientence store located on the north side of the mall. It was perfect for my needs, the price was right and I will stay there again.

Muy bonito y cómodo, para el costo está muy bien. Y cerca de todo lo que necesitaba para el momento. Fui por I trámite de SRE y estaba muy cerca. Y cerca del paseo Montejo donde fuimos a cenar. En realidad está muy cómodo y sin nada de ruido. Las camas y las almohadas estaba muy cómodas

The location is good, you have access to a great avenue to food business, banks and living shops, you have a great parking, good service and staff attention, the place is beautiful. The bed is comfortable, clean sofas, hot water, with lifts and a buffet that meets a good taste, they charge, receive payments with card. The hotel was told that the staff was sick and there was no service. I understand that the staff might have some condition, but the company must seek that if the service was offered, it would be the only tache

El peor hotel en el que nos hemos hospedado. Desde la primer noche, se escucha todo lo que pasa en las habitaciones de los lados, pedimos ayuda en recepción porque estaban jugando con una pelota en la habitación contigua y no hubo respuesta. Hasta después de las 2 a.m. permanecimos despiertos. La habitación sucia, el baño con mal olor, las paredes , principalmente del baño con manchas de todo tipo, incluyendo pasta dental de huéspedes previos, cabellos ajenos, nos faltaba una toalla, (éramos 3 personas), la regadera oxidada y obstruída, el agua del lavabo se queda estancada, el aire acondicionado terrible. Pedimos cambio de habitación al día siguiente y accedieron, cambiándonos a una habitación junto al elevador, que tiene un sonido de timbre cada que alguien lo usa y con las mismas deficiencias de comodidad y limpieza. Todo mal. Malísimo...

This Wyndham in the heart of Merida was overall very nice with a superb staff on hand. A few snafus to mention… I am handicapped and their own ADA rooms are on the fourth floor. Who know whose idea that was! There is one elevator on each side of the hotel, and if the elevator is out, and you are on the fourth floor, you have to take the stairs because there is no connection to the other side of the building. So… of course, on our second day, both elevators were out. We requested that they move us to a room on the 1st floor. When we returned from our day’s activities, all of our stuff was moved to a new room, even though that room was not an ADA room. All good right? Not quite, as we are getting ready to head out that evening, we see a puddle of water in the bathroom…turns out there was a leak from the base of the toilet. The staff once again helped us to move to another room on the first floor. Overall, it’s also a well-kept hotel. But the building is quite old and could use some repairs. We ate at their restaurant only once, and it was not Wyndham quality food. Their brunch is a whopping 350 pesos, which given the food quality, is extremely overpriced. For breakfast, we strongly recommend going to the very nearby Flores Café. The rooms are nice; our first (ADA) room was actually larger than the room we were assigned on the first floor. The best part about the hotel was the staff. Extremely helpful and apologetic about the elevator situation. I give this hotel overall 4 stars; 5 for service; 3 for the ADA situation and 3 for the food.

The facilities are new and sanitary. They are cleaned every day. The staff are super patient and very good. I went straight to check in at 8 o'clock that morning and didn't say anything. I gave full marks to this point. The location of the hotel is pretty good in Merida. It’s probably more convenient to drive next to the main street of the boulevard and not far from the bus station. I don’t know why Ctrip scores so low.
