The hotel location is the best sea view room in Mauritius and the best and best sea view. The best beach in the sea. There is no sandy hotel in the east. In our opinion, the environment of many hotels in China is not as good as the free wetland park in China. Question 1 is that the service is really Indian. It ’s quite slow and caring. On the surface, you do n’t feel it. The English accent is also very heavy. The Indian accent called a room service for one hour before coming to the door. Finally, they asked them to come and get their luggage. Urge eight urge. . . . 2The hotel room facilities are outdated. It is recommended that management have time to go outside to see if the bathtub is very old. . . It has been touched or smart switch in China for a long time.

Check in was hectic. There were so many guests checking in and waiting in such a small space. We checked in at 3 pm but the room wasn’t ready until 3.45 pm. We got to the room and found out that they upgraded us (without telling us). The upgraded room was a big suite which was very nice but it was on the ground floor. We booked a junior suite balcony which is upstairs (we prefer upstairs as more privacy and better view) we had to ask to move to the type of room that we actually booked for! (What a waste of time for everyone) the room was very beautiful and comfortable and we LOVED the balcony. We love le Morne beach the water is so clear with different shades of blue but here we find the beach to be a bit too wide so you are a bit far from the sea (we stayed at another hotel in Le morne and we found there we were closer to the see with better view of Le Morne) Plenty of available sun beds. We didn’t like the pools so didn’t go in. Breakfast was disappointing compared to the price we pay. Service was not bad but not great. Overall, it was an ok stay.

This time I stayed at the two hotels of Lishi Mona and Lishi Mei'an. The style is still quite different. The sand of Mona is yellowish and very slightly. The sand on the Mei'an is slightly whiter and thinner. Be careful. The walk is still acceptable; the rooms are larger and more modern; the sea view is better for Mount Mona. Sitting in the seaside is very eye-catching. After a day, the hotel is too lazy to move. If you are chasing dolphins, it is also near the Mount Mona. The pool and meals are not as good as the US shore.

The service is very good, the environment is good, the staff is very nice. Dining in the restaurant is quite expensive. If you are not used to it or think it is too expensive, you can bring some self-heating hot pot or self-heating rice to improve the taste. The hotel has a free ferry to Ludao Island every day. It is a very good experience to enjoy the sunny beach on Ludao Island and eat Chinese rice.

Overall, it is a very good hotel. The suite has 2 single beds and 1 double bed. It is no problem for a family of four, and there is no additional charge for 2 children under 16 years old in this room type, including breakfast, but breakfast is not included. It's too suitable for East Asian tastes. Dinner is a little better, just a little bit. We lost a child's schoolbag at the airport in Mauritius, and there were valuables inside. We thought we couldn't find it, but the Intercontinental front desk guy helped us contact the airport police station, and the schoolbag was recovered, which was very NICE. It was a bit unpleasant to check out later. More than a thousand euros were deducted from me. After negotiation, it was refunded to my account after returning to China. Overall, it was perfect. Ctrip officials were also very helpful!

The hotel environment is very good. The reservation on Ctrip includes breakfast and dinner, and the hotel stay has a consumption of 100 US dollars, which is very cost-effective.
There are four restaurants in the hotel. I personally recommend the Asian restaurant (Pictures 2 and 3 are Indian restaurants), fried noodles, pizza, fish and rice, all of which are delicious. However, the most popular place to eat is the buffet restaurant. Although it is not delicious, there are many choices, mainly fruits.
The waiter at the seafood restaurant was very unfriendly. Because I didn't speak English well when I ordered, I was laughed at by the black waiter, which was very rude. The hotel can pay attention to this.

The beaches of Long Beach are not bad. Although it is a little worse than the Maldives, there are still plenty of places to play with the fur ball. In order to save trouble, I stayed here for 7 nights in the fur ball and witnessed a lot of guests haha! First of all, the hotel's comprehensive value for money is high, including breakfast and dinner, because it is the wedding anniversary, but also gave wine and small gifts, 50% off the spa, free Kashima pickup and one-hour golf experience. But one thing is not very good, that is, the service items included in the hotel were not actively notified to us, we only knew it by ourselves. The restaurant can be reserved in advance, except for the buffet, but there are restrictions on free order. The Chinese restaurant recommends that you ask a Chinese chef to do something authentic. Every night at 9 o'clock, there are still people knocking on the door for sanitation. The whole is very clean, that is, there are ants on the first floor next to the plants or something. Seeing a lot of birds and chameleons proves that the environment is very natural and original. In terms of service, there is room for improvement. There are no Maldives hotels that are doing well and feel impersonal. We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights because the departure time was more than 8pm. We asked the hotel if it was 2 hours late Check out, did not get the accommodation, you need to add money to add time, cold. There is a Manluria who speaks Chinese at the front desk. The people are very nice and beautiful. Thanks for helping! If you still have the opportunity to go to Maoqiu, you should choose another hotel to experience it.

Review Overall, our 5 night stay here was not worth the $800 USD per night we paid, we would not recommend or stay at this resort again. If it’s a good value you’re looking for, look elsewhere. If you’re ok with spending tons of money on overly-priced items, this place is for you. Pros: - Absolutely beautiful property. Beach and lagoon options offer a great trade off between busy and calm experiences - Room was large and clean. A/C worked great - Very friendly staff. The waitstaff to guest ratio seemed very high - Le Carre speakeasy was a very nice place to unwind after a long day in the sun - Lots of activities for adults and kids - The spa is very nice and has a quiet and tranquil pool that guests can use (even if they don’t have a spa appointment) - The breakfast buffet was one of the highlights of the stay. They had quite an array of options suitable for everyone - The nightly turndown service came with unique gifts each night. The gifts were a very nice touch and quite nice too! Cons: - Extremely expensive food and drinks. The buffet dinner option is 5500MUR ($120 USD), so come hungry if you do the buffet. We opted for a la carte but it was still $50 USD per dish. They also charge 300MUR for each bottle of water, even though they offer unlimited bottles of water delivered to the room at no charge. This was mind-boggling to me. Bring the water from your room with you to save $14/bottle of water - There are only three options for dining in air-conditioned comfort: Prime steakhouse (which is dinner-only and closed most days), L’Artisan (small seating area), and in your room (with an additional tray charge). While this didn’t bother most people, it was unbearably hot some days and it’s nice to be able to dine in air-conditioning especially after spending hours soaking in the sun - On the note about water and non-ac, one day my pregnant wife and I (after spending 4 hours in the sun) sat down for lunch at one of the outdoor restaurants. The waiter came by and poured some water. After about 5 mins we decided it was way too hot to eat there and got up and left. The waiter flagged us down and insisted we pay 300MUR for the 2 sips of water we had - We were supposed to be entitled to a $100 USD credit since we booked through our credit card (Capital One travel). Upon checking out they used an unfavorable exchange rate making the value only $87 - The concierge experiences list provided incorrect fees for the golf course options. When I asked them to book The Links course, it was 2000MUR more expensive than advertised - The staff, while helpful, seemed a bit overbearing at times. They’ve clearly been trained to upsell guests. While this isn’t a bad thing, it got tiring after a while Tips: - Bring water bottles from your room with you to dine to save 300MUR - Don’t leave sweets in your room or in the trash. We learned this the hard way and discovered hordes of ants in the trash - Make sure you double-check the bill at checkout and keep track of all din

GGuest UserIt was just magic.
The hotel is beautiful, staff are in small care.
The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable.
It was the best hotel in Mauritius for us.
I recommend!
A few days in paradise: that’s how it felt to stay at the Oberoi in Mauritius which was, hands down, our best hotel experience ever. From the moment we entered the resort grounds and were warmly welcomed until the moment it was time to say goodbye, the entire team (I won’t mention names because I literally would need to name every single one of them) went out of their way to make our stay one-of-a-kind. For example: researching and recommending excursions based on our specific wishes, showing us the beautiful coral reef in an expertly maneuvered glass bottom boat, delivering relaxing massages, making every single dining experience enjoyable (and every meal was exceptional), giving us fresh aloe vera to soothe sunburns, and making sure our stays at the beach, the pool, the bar, the herb garden … were all, simply, perfection. Not to mention the many activities offered (wine tasting , star gazing, cooking courses, snorkeling, yoga…) and the many people working behind the scenes to upkeep the stunning gardens/grounds and provide security and maintenance. We truly had the feeling that each and every staff member regardless of role goes out of their way to deliver a truly exceptional client experience in this truly stunning setting. If you’re reading this review because you’re hesitating given the steep price tag and trying to decide if it is worth it (as we did prior to booking ), let me tell you: you will love it.
GGuest UserVery satisfied. After entering the gate and parking the car, a hotel car picked us up and took us to the front desk to check in. The environment is very good, the infinity pool is next to the beach. The room fulfilled all my fantasies about a resort hotel. I really want to stay here for a longer time. If anything happens, the waiter can be contacted at any time via WhatsApp. The most grateful thing is that we misjudged the flight time and the waiter pointed it out. This prevented us from arriving at the airport very early and allowed us to stay in the hotel for a longer time.
AAhmedNihalAmazing experience by all staff and its located in an amazing place. The view from the hotel is spectacular. We enjoyed the customer service especially by the receptionist who provided me with first aid after an injury I had while trekking somewhere else. Much appreciated. The food definitely needs some improved we found the food to be a lil bland and a bit overpriced for the quality of the food.
KKarenRats in restaurant
On arrival the hotel is really beautiful - a small oasis tucked away with gorgeous colonial style. The reception staff were really lovely and made us feel welcome.
The room was really nice - but there were a few things we noticed (which we let slide at the start) - massive dirty lipstick mark on one of our water glasses, filthy lampshades above the bathroom sinks, bed linen that didn’t feel particularly fresh and the robes as well had a slight greyish colour rather than bright white which they were meant to be. These were all minor things at the start which we didn’t even mention to each other but did notice.
We then had our first night at the cocktail bar where our drink was served by the lovely barman (very polite and smily) - as we were drinking we saw a huge rat run across the terrace - we decided it was an island and maybe this is normal (although we really weren’t happy about it). We then were dining within the restaurant and again a huge rat was running towards the table. For us, this is not ok. We asked to move tables as we saw a rat and the waiters barely acknowledged it - didn’t offer any apology and then proceeded to avoid our table for the rest of the night. We informed the manager the next day who assured us he was aware and the rat had been caught, and to “give it a chance”. We weren’t offered so much as a complimentary drink. After dining in the restaurant again the second night and again seeing a rat - for us it was time to check out. Not only is it unpleasant seeing rodents running around while eating but I would say it’s a hygiene issue and makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen and the safety of the food.
The only concession we were offered was to not pay for the remaining nights that we would not be staying for.
Really disappointing. On hindsight some things we would add about the whole experience:
- Not a 5 star in terms of food, service or cleanliness
- Staff really hit and miss - some very friendly some really rude and unhelpful
- Rooms didn’t feel clean
- Food was average - nothing felt fresh including breakfast
- Quite stingey with water - water not replaced within our room (had to ask for it)
We are now staying at a different hotel and haven’t seen one rat, so don’t think this is “just an island thing” as the manager stated. The service and food are also worlds apart which has really solidified that our review of 20 degres sud as completely justified - not a 5 star experience whatsoever.
GGuest UserI had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was beautifully placed on the east coast of the island. Great views of the beach. But the truly outstanding thing about this place were the staff. Undoubtedly the heart and soul of the place. I definitely recommend anyone going to Mauritius to have a stay at this hotel. A very special thank you to Rishi & the team. Also to mr ashish for sorting me out.
YYUEBreakfast, lunch and dinner are all inclusive. The family room has one large bed and two small beds, suitable for children. The hotel is located on the southwest edge of the island. It is recommended to rent a car at the airport and drive by yourself. Parking is very convenient.
XXiaomie001The beach is not as beautiful as other hotels, but everything else is okay! The service attitude is very good, and every staff member is smiling. There is only one non-paying restaurant, and the food is different from other hotels... It is estimated that several other restaurants require reservations and payment
LLINGFree parking and gate security are in place like all hotels in Maodao. We were just in time for the hurricane. We couldn't go to sea in rainy days. The hotel also had a lot of entertainment facilities. Table tennis, football, sand, volleyball, and pool. The WIFI signal in the room is very weak, only the balcony signal is very strong. I wonder if the facility was affected by the hurricane. The beach is downstairs, but the WIFI signal is very strong. There are many schools of fish not far from snorkeling, and basic water sports facilities are free of charge. The staff is very friendly, the environment in the yard is beautiful and quiet, it is much better than the salt selection we stayed behind, it is worth recommending ~
