We chose the Quarry Dujia Village, which was a very correct choice. If you have a car, you can reserve a parking space one day in advance, and then someone will pick us up. This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The whole of Matera is beautiful. This was a last-minute booking and I’m so happy I did. The rooms are gorgeous. They’re built into the caves. The food restaurant is so good ! Unfortunately I didn’t have a lot of time ! But can’t wait to return the staff is wonderful and loved that when filming James Bond no time to die they stayed in the hotel ! How cool is that ! They show you Daniel Craig’s letters and the map of the movie !

A beautiful room with views on two sides. Staff were helpful and friendly especially Antonio at the front desk. Our tour guide, booked privately, never arrived but Antonio saved the day! He gave us a map and a full run down of what we should see. And a bit of history too.
