We had a great two day stay at Alpine Creek Lodge! Thank you to Claude, Jennifer, Chrissy, Bob, and Annie for taking such good care of us while we were there. My wife and I explored, hiked and truly enjoyed the Grizzly Bar! Just remember that if you ring the bell in the bar you buy everyone a round (learned that the hard way, then rang it a few more times)! The three dogs Rosy, Ruby and Bandit were our best little friends too. You're visiting a lodge that is a long way from the big city so if you're expecting the Ritz, this probably isn't the place for you. But, if you love scenery, meeting new people, and staying in a laid-back friendly environment you'll love it. Rooms are small but comfortable, bathrooms and showers are shared but there are 4 or 5 available and they are kept very clean. Breakfast and dinner are included and the food was very good! Claude even taught us how to pan for gold! We look forward to going back again soon!

Where to begin... everything you could possibly want away from the crowded shorelines. Very remote, diversified, entertaining, epic views in every direction, such a variety of activities to partake in. Staff is incredible all the way around, plenty of room, food is amazing, the Grizzly bar is perfect for catching up on the days adventures, poker room, incredible deck overlooking the Susitna River basin, variety of rooms to stay in at the lodge, plenty of space for numerous parties in your group. We've been multiple times, completely different experience each and every time, late spring, early fall, middle of winter, there is always something going on. If not, they will find something for you to do. Snowmobiling is absolutely incredible, no limits! Hiking on close and remote trails to remote lakes and mountain ranges, fishing lakes and rivers for a variety of species of fish, panning for gold onsite, dog mushing when available, jeep/atv/SxS tours, wildlife viewing- this list is long, depending on the season of course. AND of course if your lucky enough to spend hours on one of the many decks to be mesmerized by aurora borealis (aka northern lights) just WOW! Couldnt think of a better group of people and place to spend your time. Havent had a chance to actually right a review after all these years, but totally worth it, every single time. Cant go wrong! Cheers!

I can not rave about these people enough! I stopped here for lunch, traveling the Denali Hwy solo. I made friends, from other guests to the wonderful people working this amazing place. I ran into some car trouble after leaving, just 2 miles down the road. I was so well cared for by these people that my heart almost burst. I ended up having dinner & breakfast here as well. And was put up with my pup in the hunters cabin for the night. I will never ever forget Annie, Collin, Liam, the talented cook & gracious family who owns the place. This is a not to be missed stop on the Denali Hwy & I cannot wait to return asap with anyone & everyone. This is “home”, filled with an instant family. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

My husband & I gave up trying to stay warm by our wet campfire & sleeping in the Jeep while out hunting & fishing the Old Denali Highway. Luckily, Alpine Creek had a room available. We got warm & dry & had the most fun at The Grizzly Bar. Highlight of our adventure! The Lodge is beautiful & the staff really make you feel like family. Comfy beds. Good food. But seriously, the Bondy Family & staff are really special. We’ll be back!

My son and I stayed here a week while hunting spring bear. All I can say is this place is amazing. The Grizzly Bar deck boasts one of the most amazing views of any lodge in Alaska and is a great way to unwind after a long day. The staff are super friendly and helpful with whatever adventure you’re on. Great food, comfortable rooms and beds, and hot coffee and showers. All in the middle of virgin, untouched Alaskan wilderness. I highly recommend the 1-mile hike to the alpine lake that begins just behind the lodge. It is spectacular and provides views of the surrounding area you can’t get from the highway or the lodge. If you’re driving the Denali Highway, Alpine Creek Lodge should be part of your itinerary, whether you stay overnight or just stop in for a meal or a drink, it will enrich your experience.

Very nice. Loved it! Great hospitality! Food was excellent! The drive to lodge on the Denali Highway was breathtaking! The lodge was warm and comfortable! So much to do, but we were not there long enough to do half! The staff is friendly and helpful. Book it! I will return!

This is a family run operation and they make you feel like family. You could pick blueberries, pan for gold (but you only get a speck if you are lucky), and pet the sled dogs. The bar was great fun--old timers telling stories. The food was OK, nothing spectacular.....but we were in the middle of the wilderness. You wonder how the heck they survive there in the winter!

We spent a day on the Denali Hwy. We happened upon this place. They have a very neat log cabin bar that overlooks the Hwy and some great scenery. The two gentlemen had some great stories to tell and were very welcoming. If we ever make it back to that neck of the woods we'll be sure to stop in again.
