"Have to put a scanning system to the guest security,Zero at present,They don’t answer when asked,Hotel or the company AitkinSpence is only after your money,This is from my personal experience,After staying there during the Arugambai terrorist threat and the US,UK and few other countries issued a warning to their citizens,We are from the UK,We were concerned about it they just ignored us,Anyone could have carried explosive inside,Because none of my luggage was scanned.I have asked the hotel and the company for an explanation still no answer, my stay was on 23rd to 25th of oct 2024,,I would tell anyone wants to stay here to check this first.I am attaching few pictures of concern,I did warn them that If there is no response from them my review will be the truth,Still they are not bothered,I have more to write but I will stop here."

Service was average at best with them being generally being slow at meal times and long waits for food (had ala carte for dinner ) The breakfast buffet had a good spread but there were flies around the fruit station - very off putting"

"The hot water was gone after the first shower, and the rest were at room temperature. Each room is an independent little house, so you don't have to worry about disturbing others. The greenery is very good with many trees. The buffet dinner is too ordinary, and no free drinks or water are provided. The breakfast is a surprise in comparison."

"A wonderful hotel in a quiet location among rice fields. Peacocks and the sounds of the jungle. If you love nature and solitude, this is perfect! Just remember that there's no "civilization" right next door. The rooms are nice, clean, and comfortable. The reception is very warm. The breakfast and dinner were delicious! Thanks to all the hotel staff. Most importantly for those traveling by car, the road Google defaults to on the lake side is bad, full of potholes; we barely made it. The road on the other side, while rough, is much better. I've attached a map in the photo."

"Facilities: The facilities are a bit old, and the room was a little damp, but overall it was okay. Cleanliness: The room was fairly clean, but the floor drain had a slight odor. Environment: Located at the foot of Lion Rock, the location is excellent, with several good restaurants nearby, but it's a bit noisy along the street. Other: Dinner was at the restaurant next door. The hotel breakfast was average, with limited choices."

"Beautiful hotel in Sigiriya, view over the Lion Rock from the pool which is gorgeous as well, hotel is well located close to Dambulla temple, Minneriya Park for elephant watching,… Good experiences at the restaurant with the buffet at night, lunch and cocktails were fine too. Hotel staff is kind and helpful. Room (two floors) was comfortable and clean, a bathtub and shower room were both available. Not a big deal but the kid’s club needs a serious cleaning and upgrade (does not match the hotel standing at all). Positive note not well enough advertized: the free pottery experience for kids at the next-door hotel (walking distance)"

"It's a little far from the city center, about 100 meters from the main road. I was using Google Maps to get there, but I took a wrong turn and had to ask a local for directions. Looking again, there's a hotel sign on a utility pole at the corner, so please refer to that. In terms of facilities, it's equipped with a kettle, refrigerator, hairdryer, and air conditioner, and the TV has good picture quality. Coffee, tea, and two bottles of water are also provided, making it well worth the price. (It's probably a new building, so there are few gaps, and hardly any flies or ants got in.) As for the food, breakfast is a mix of Sri Lankan and English style, with good taste and quantity. Combined with the facilities, it offers better value than other hotels in the same price range, so I recommend it. The owner's family was also very kind. ka"
