Days Inn by Wyndham Mason City

I rate this a 1 because the a/c was so incredibly loud I couldn't have it on. I usually like to have the fan on for white noise, but I couldn't even do that because it was so loud. And this is coming from someone that lived in NYC for 20 years. I would never book this motel again... especially in the summer when I would need the a/c on. Breakfast is a joke. I was also in a non-smoking room, but it felt like a smoking room and the smell coming into the room kept me up all night. Worst experience.

Leaky faucet in the bathroom and remodeling nearby when we arrived. We were there in that location to visit the Harvest Festival in Clear Lake. Also, the Surf Ballroom nearby and other attractions that weekend for a few days away.

Was construction but was ok. The recliner in our room was nasty. Leather peeling off just looked so trashy. Needs thrown away. Otherwise everything was good. Will be nice when everything is done. Breakfast and service was good.

Its worth spending little more money than staying here. There are better hotels in town. Rooms are terrible. Smells moldy . If not updated I believe it should be shut down and inspected . Staff tries its best .

The people are top notch and the room, though oler, was clean and comfortable.Breakfast was good and a little later than most so I was happy. It's close (within walking distance) to three restaurants. I'll stay there again.

The room was filthy and unsafe and the service was horrible. The floor walls and every other aspect of the room bad. The windows lock was broken so had to cram a luggage rack to hopefully keep anyone from the outside getting in ….no security and leather chair in the room torn to shreds would even pass curb pick up! All service tells you is sorry we can’t help you it was terrible! Couldn’t use the free breakfast in the morning as was so filthy! Wi-Fi and phone not working along with the key card was a living nightmare no refund was even offered

The friendliest desk ladies there are.. very helpful on restaurants, and entertainment, I would highly recommend to any one I do or do not know from my experience.The service is totally superb and friendly.

This hotel was just a stopping, quick night and on the road again-we wished we could've kept right on driving. WORST hotel, from stinky lobby checkin to small very dirty room. The bed was questionable as to whether sheets had been changed(it was so late we fell into bed and slept on top of blanket in our clothes). The sink didn't drain and I wasn't even attempting the shower. It was questionable if front desk staff understood English well enough to complain?!? Would NEVER recommend!

Room was very clean and furniture was nice and unexpected from some of the reviews. I was originally doubting my booking after reading some reviews however my room was great. I had the business room and loved having a recliner to relax in that was comfortable and clean
