Sofitel Marseille Vieux-Port

Vieux Port - La Canebière
This was a lovely hotel to stay at. I booked a room with a large terrace overlooking the port and the view was fantastic. I could have sat all day watching the boats coming in and out of the harbor. The room was spacious and well kept. The employees were very nice and helpful even as I practiced my French on them. The breakfast was quite special. It is served in a beautiful , light-filled room, again, with views of the port. You could sit inside or outside and the weather was beautiful while I was there in early June. The breakfast had many many choices, breads of all kinds, hot choices (such as bacon, eggs, sausages, petite potatoes, vegetables), cold cuts, many cheeses, several dessert options also. Really nice. I would highly recommend this hotel and wish I had stayed longer.

Excellent service. Especially the quality of the restaurant team (special thanks to Charline & Nabil) always there and always smiling with high quality standard of food & beverages standard. Perfect location. Clean & comfortable Recommend for business stay in Marseille
Mama Shelter Marseille
4.1/572 Reviews
Hotel is located pretty centrally, in a bit of a warren of streets but handy for most parts of the centre of town. Room was a good size, service great, no complaints. Decor is very 'Hoxton' and 1970s, which I like. Others may not, of course. M****ille's a big, grubby, lively city and Mama Shelter fits right in. Recommended.
Hôtel 96
4.6/553 Reviews
I left Hotel 96 with the words 'this has probably been the best short stay I've ever had'! Too much, not really. The family run hotel epitomises the warm welcome, you feel part of the 'family' from arrival to departure. The staff were so attentive and helpful even before our arrival, ensuring the chosen room was acceptable and trying to sort out our travel needs during busy times - the rugby World Cup! The facilities are excellent, clean and comfortable, as you would expect from your own home - if not more so! The breakfasts scrumptious featuring home made jams, compotes and cakes. Home now and actually missing the family, staff and Iossou the dog!
Mercure Marseille Centre Prado Vélodrome

Chanot - Stade Velodrome
Be really careful with this hotel. After check out I got charged an extra 20€ for breakfast. As someone claims I took this while I never set a foot in the restaurant. That seems to be enough for them to just take it off my card without discussion.

Prado-Perier
Good quality bedding, beautiful view and location. The breakfast is very rich and there is nothing missing. The staff is very friendly and very attentive. Public transportation is right in front of the hotel, so you can move around as much as you want. The only downside this year is the swimming pool, which really has many shortcomings. They should be a little more respectful for hotel customers, especially cleaner. Strongly leave next year! ! ! ! !
