Stayed in this hotel in September 2023. Room 18 to be precise. If this hotel was run by a large multinational chain it would be good but simply it’s horrible. Our room smelled sickeningly of Cigarette smoke and had hairs on the shower curtain. On arrival on Saturday at 3pm the room wasn’t ready and we had to ask the maid for it to be cleaned so we could check in and go out. There’s a couple of vending machines that sell crisps etc that take your money and do nothing else. Now, the main gripe about this place is there’s no staff anywhere. Reception is permanently closed. You have to check in by the terminal at the entrance, but beware…IT DOES NOT ACCEPT CONTACTLESS. If you have no physical credit card you’re in trouble. Whilst we were checking in another group we’re trying to check in too. It was simply chaotic. The actual hotel is relatively modern but just not managed well. We couldn’t wait to leave this place. If you are English and visit here and don’t speak French you may be in trouble because the maid speaks no English. The owners of this hotel have got it wrong by employing nobody. We will never be returning. One thing to note… Google maps shows loads of places in the vicinity that sell food etc but Bizzarely it is impossible to get a food delivery.
During your Mediterranean stay, Hotel Première Classe Marseille Est – La Valentine offers a stopover 15 minutes from the city center. You can’t leave without trying the bouillabaisse in one of Marseille’s restaurants. The perks of our budget hotel? The free enclosed parking lot and the all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet.

The hotel was very disappointed and surprised to arrive at the hotel , especially for a ” first class ” . If I had known I would be going to Formula 1 . In the halls to go to the room , like , very dirty , full of megos on the ground , hair , papers , spider tools . Women walk half-nothing and leave their room doors open !!! Not top when there are children I find ! The room was small , the entrance door was closed half , the deguulasses , no shower closet , the soil was very dirty , and the night was very noisy .

Decent hotel for the price, a little noisy, poorly insulated, but overall it's okay. Clean, friendly staff, car park monitored by camera, clean sanitary facilities.

I usually get up late without booking breakfast; free parking; walk to the supermarket within a few minutes to solve the problem of eating and drinking (borrow hotel microwave oven); there is a gas station nearby, and there is a KFC within ten minutes of walking; choose to stay because of the cost-effectiveness, and drive to the city It takes 20 minutes. I drove the car to the public free parking lot at the Metro Terminal near the Marseille Stadium, and then took the Metro to the Old Port of Marseille. There is no hair dryer in the room, and the smell of the corridors I don’t know how to appreciate...

I stayed last year during the Covid-19 period, it was more complicated with meal trays to eat in the room as well as breakfast. Currently I find the hotel welcoming staff with a smile despite the mask and this breakfast in the room is great with lots of choice! What a shame not to find a basket of oranges with a juice extractor. Clean hotel, nice room with all the necessary towels, shower gel, etc. Good bedding. Quiet places and free parking with gate closed at night, opening possible! I will definitely come back for future training! Good continuation and see you soon.

The location is about 20 minutes drive from Laogang. It is only suitable for self-driving tour. There is no parking fee and the parking space is sufficient. The environment is quiet because it is safer. There are not many types of breakfast, but the Europeans are basically complete.

I had to book 2 night accomodation at short notice, this was a basic accomodation only.. There was no telephone between my room & reception in a large block of flats. The paper system at reception took a messge from my friends (my mobile phone had been stolen) but that messge never reached me, there was never a note on my door in the block of flats. The cooking pot was for 4 or 6 peopple, there needs ot be one at a size for just 1 or 2 people as it was a twin room. The bed(s) were board beds with a single mattress only on top. It was more suited to people with cars as there was parking & it was near the A50 route.. But I was on public transport & it took at least 30 minutes to get to the twon centre. To be fair,it was quiet & there was greenspace nearby. I would only book this place again if there was nowhere else to go.

The staff at the front desk of the hotel are very friendly, and the check-in and check-out speed is also very fast. The location is good, and it is less than ten minutes' walk from the subway station in the picture. The room is also very clean, suitable in size and has a private bathroom. The best thing is that there is an open kitchen in the room, and the tableware is also very complete.

Excellent
GGuest UserReally nice! I loved how you can have your own space by closing the curtain. The beds didn't make any noise or movements when you climb into the upper bed. Maybe a small improvement: sign for where the reception/checkin is or some arrows. Overall had a nice stay, very cozy place and clean and good working services
AAlbert5433This was a lovely hotel to stay at. I booked a room with a large terrace overlooking the port and the view was fantastic. I could have sat all day watching the boats coming in and out of the harbor. The room was spacious and well kept. The employees were very nice and helpful even as I practiced my French on them. The breakfast was quite special. It is served in a beautiful , light-filled room, again, with views of the port. You could sit inside or outside and the weather was beautiful while I was there in early June. The breakfast had many many choices, breads of all kinds, hot choices (such as bacon, eggs, sausages, petite potatoes, vegetables), cold cuts, many cheeses, several dessert options also. Really nice. I would highly recommend this hotel and wish I had stayed longer.
GGuest UserAlthough our stay was fine, we had a very bad experience. My brother-in-law forgot his tablet in his room. He had left it on the floor near the wall and in the morning upon drawing the curtains open the tablet was hidden behind so he didn't see it. Arriving in our next hotel destination (Villeneuve-Loubet) he realized the tablet was left in Toyoko-Inn. He immediately called the hotel and the security guy told him no tablet was found. He went to personally check the room that happened to be empty as no guest was in that room that night. He then told my brother-in-law he didn't find anything. We called the hotel again the following day and we got the same answer. We sent an e-mail to the hotel manager only to get the same answer. Since there was no other guest in that room it seems that only people from the hotel entered it. We can not believe a tablet can vanish without a human intervention so we suspect that somebody from the hotel found it but didn't deliver it to the reception. This matter ruined the remaining days of our vacation and left a bitter taste in our mouths. I sent a complaint to the Tourism Office in M****illes but they couldn't answer me as they are on public holidays! So, if you stay in that hotel double and triple check your room before you leave because if something valuable is forgotten it's more than certain it won't be recovered or compensated.
GGuest UserWhat makes this place special are the people. Yes, it is modern, tastefully designed and immaculate with great access to public transport and a couple of local treasures, the front desk with Tata, Tania and Sujata, complete with broad smiles and great local knowledge are a compliment to manager Emmanuel and Mr Fixit, Julian.
GGuest UserThe breakfast is delicious, the location is very good, the service is very good, there is free refreshments, apples can be taken, and the pier is just a few minutes walk. There are many shops nearby, and places to eat, and it is also close to Shanghai Kitchen and Dahua Hotel. This is very cost-effective, because Ridisson members have no way to set points in Ctrip.
GGuest UserLocation wise the hotel is just two or three minutes walk from the Colbert Metro Station or maybe 14 minutes walk from the main St Charles railway station. It is also only about five to seven minutes walk from the main tourist area down by the port. Obviously not the fault of the hotel but the street it is on it heavy with graffiti, there was smell of urine and hobos sleeping nearby. That might sound nasty, but it's just a fact. Check-in was simple and quick and the lobby is OK if you like looking at a piano covered in faux graffiti. All rather tacky and blingy looking. Bedroom was OK if you like decor in purple and vinyl light blue covered chairs in your room. No proper desk for computer use although you can use a small table and stool. Wifi connection was good. Air-conditioning worked. Bathroom acceptable although the 'open' toilet brush holder could surely be improved upon. Hairdryer provided but you can't use it in the bathroom as there is no plug point for a hair dryer. It can however be used in the hallway. Carpet was dirty. I thought at first it was maybe just our room but upon stepping out into the corridor there was dirt and dust everywhere, especially along the sides by the skirting boards. The cleaners main corridor door was often left open letting guests see inside the cleaners store room area. Breakfast was good. In fact, most of it was better than good. Comprehensive selection of breads and croissants/pastries, cheeses, hams, fruit, yoghurt, cereals, coffee machines and scrambled egg. The fallafel was also a great thing which I hadn't expected. Not so good were the burnt sausages and the very fatty/oily streaky bacon each morning. But overall, a good variety and enjoyable. Would we return? Probably not. The hotel really needs to do something to clean the carpets in the corridors properly and to get new toilet brush holders in the rooms. Very off-putting.
GGuest UserWent for a long weekend to see the city and it’s history, really enjoyed our time, 3 days was plenty to see everything. The hotel was in a fantastic location, right near the Metro. Everyone was friendly in the hotel, and spoke English very well which was useful as our French isn’t great. Couldn’t have asked for anything more, also the deposit was paid back straight away on the same day in full. Highly recommend.
MMair DStayed in this hotel in June 22. Have to admit that my first impression was student halls but we adapted well. The apartment was small but very clean. We had one bedroom but only big enough to house twin beds and a bedside table and a lamp. The beds were very comfortable. There was a separate toilet and a small bathroom with a over bath shower. I first thought that the bath was not clean but it was just here the enamel had worn away. There was a small kitchenette with cooker, fridge and dishwasher. We didn’t use it except for tea and coffee as we had B&B which was good the lady in the dining room was very friendly and was happy to help. We ate out for dinner. There is a table and chairs and a sofa bed in the living area plus a tv. The balcony was big and facing the sea which was nice with lovely views over the bay. There were patio table and chairs. If you are staying less than 8 days you won’t get room service but will provide it at an extra cost. There is a free safe deposit in all rooms. I think this is because of covid. There is free WiFi and a safety deposit box. There is no hairdryer in the rooms but you can get one from reception at no cost if you ask. Reception were ok but didn’t speak much English but we were in France after all so got by. The pool is small but nice the only thing is that there is no seating around the pool. Most people were just sitting on the decking on towels. The hotel is just 5 minutes from the beach. The only thing is that it was not Sandy but stony and gritty not good for making sand castles. There are no sun beds or parasols to hire, and very little shade. There is a Sandy beach further down the bay about 10 mins walk. There are restaurants close by but also more on the Sandy beach which is lovely. Also a good supermarket near too. You can get a bus into the city on the road next to the hotel the No 83 is €2 per person each way along the coast to the marina. I have to say that the external walls of the hotel need to be tidied up they look very tired. A lick of paint is needed badly, and maybe the rooms brought up to date a little. Maybe the hotel group could invest some funds into doing this. All in all we had a good stay but it could have been better. Thank you to all staff the made our stay comfortable.
GGuest UserRecently stayed here at 50Euro per night, The hotel is located a stone's throw away from Vieux-Port in a side street, hence giving you access to town centre, the metro. With a tiny and almost hidden entrance the hotel, its easy to miss. From the rooms you can hear the hustle and bustle even at night however I like this kind of sound and slept with the windows open. The staff were absolutely fantastic (thanks to the 2 gentlemen and 1 lady) and was manned 24 hours per day. The rooms itself are small and quite basic, and not suited to families, but for single or couples looking for a place to stay. You would consider this a budget hotel without any luxuries at 50 Euro at night, id say its fair value. Thanks for the great stay, staff and location made it great
