As many have already stated this Riad is amazing! Gilles and his staff go above and beyond and it really feels like a personal and homely experience staying here. Our highlight was the food! The breakfast is amazing with everything homemade (jams, yoghurt, cake) that really sets you up for the day ahead. We loved the yoghurt! We paid for the tasting menu at the Riad when we arrived as we landed in the evening. This was again delicious and meant we didn’t need to find somewhere to eat on arrival when we didn’t know the area yet. You can ask for a traditional Moroccan mint tea at any time too. The area for us felt really safe, it is on the edge of the Medina so you are close enough to the hustle and bustle of the Souks but the Riad itself was in a calm and quieter location. It’s also close enough to one of the main roads that you can easily get a taxi, though we walked everywhere. As others have stated - Gilles is extremely helpful and will give you advice on where to visit and any other questions you might have. I got henna done at the Riad which was much safer and cheaper than having it done in the main square. If you are looking to buy any Argan oil during your stay - Gilles sells real Argan oil at the Riad for a good price, don’t be tricked into buying fake Argan oil at the Souks like I was! The rooms have high quality shower gel, shampoo and body lotion with a little Argan oil too. This was ideal for us as we were limited on liquids to bring in our hand luggage. The rooms have both a ceiling fan and air conditioning. As it is a traditional Riad the rooms stay cool without air conditioning (even in 39 degrees Celsius heat) so we only used it now and again. We really hope we will visit again in the future, thank you Riad Abaca Badra!
